DraikNova Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Thanks Stupidlol! Edited December 24, 2012 by DraikNova Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 LEGOJANG also has his review of Scarox up on Youtube, if anyone's interested. Quote
Nike2032 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Good find stupidlol Yes! Finally an extremely clear image of Furno XL. Well, I was a bit uncertain about him before, but now he's on top of my buy list. Edited December 24, 2012 by Nike2032 Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Scarox's back is interesting. Didn't really expect the play function even if it's... Well... A bit crappy to be honest, but I'm sure with a little bit of tinkering Scarox can be a decent set. :P Quote
stupidlol Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 You're welcome!! All of the reviews will probably be up by tomorrow. Quote
Shakar Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) As of now he's done most of them, only Breez, Bruizer (for great alliteration justice!) and Pyrox are missing. Not to be too critical, but Scarox is probably the worst post-new building system set yet. I'm not even sure if I'll buy him, he needs a severe revamp and I already have most of the pieces needed to make it. The other sets are good, Rocka and Ogrum look better than ever, Furno looks great as always and Bulk's boring weapons are boring as usual. Edited December 24, 2012 by Shakar Quote
Aanchir Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 A cute puppy with horns. I wanna give that Pyrox lots of hugs. Then put some ointment on my burns from Pyrox's glowing hot body. And then run like hell away when the Brain Slug attacks it. Did you notice, on Bruizer and Orgum, where the brain would have been in the set, there was a piece of 3M cladding instead? That was a nice touch there I think. Also, TV Bulk actually looks pretty awesome. I'm not as bothered by the orange, though the trans orange does look kind of red now, doesn't it? And then there's his hand.. It keeps to the set being partially orange, but there's grey in there too like he's always had before, and I really like that. What I like most about Bulk in the TV episode, perhaps, is that his shield is patterned with a gear which makes it feel a lot less plain. I think the lack of printing on this part is a bit of a missed opportunity, since Captain America showed us it could be printed and Bulk's weapons feel so boring on their own. Quote
DraikNova Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Okay, Scarox is awesome (parts-wise). Those trans-neon green claws look really great, just like the gold blades he has. His actual head is rather creepy. His function sucks, however. Rocka´s blade looks even better in trans-neon than in silver. Is it weird that he has a sad expression when the visor isn´t totally down? For the rest he just looks like a good parts-pack with some normal pieces. I think Ogrum´s brain slug is the best of the line. Really vibrant. Also, the savage planet paws look especially good in brown. Some awesome shell pieces, too. Those trans and dark green shells will be a welcome addition to my collection. Bulk and Bruizer´s combiner is probably the best I´ve seen. It looks almost like a silver Furno XL. And we get a silver Breakout `mechanical` armor add-on! Kind of weird considering that Bulk is mostly gunmetal, but I welcome the recolor. Edited December 24, 2012 by DraikNova Quote
TheRedGuy Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I actually think that Scarox is the best villain of this wave, the only problem he has IMO is that his limbs are bare. Quote
Kalhiki Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Speaking of Scarox, how do you guys pronounce it? "Scar" or "Scare"? I've been pronouncing it "Scar", but "scare" sounds more fitting. Anywho, only watched reviews of Bulk, Rocka, and Scarox as of now. Scarox, while probably the worst in my opinion, doesn't look too terribly bad. And I'm still loving Rocka. Too bad the shield sticks out so far on his back. Kalhiki Quote
Gatanui Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I pronounce it scare-ox. I'm going to resist watching Scarox' review as I'm going to build him tomorrow. :P Good to read he isn't all that terrible, though. ^^ -Gata Quote
TheDesuComplex Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I'm thinking about just scrapping Bulk's drill completely and giving him a minigun instead, based off this piece. Quote

ZORK64 Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Which is megablocking hilarious, if you ask me. Back on topic: I tried to find the building instructions for the combiners today, and sadly, I wasn't able to find them. Quote

Vinyl Scratch Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Give it a week and HeroFactory.com will likely get all the Brain Attack stuff. :P Quote
Cirkit Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) Did someone say minigun? I've seen that gun before, on Deviantart- It's megablocking awesome! If any Ultrabuild figure, let alone a Hero Factory one, had a gun like this in a future set, that would be terrific! And totally mindblowing! Kind of related, cuz he and Nex had guns last wave, but I wonder how the designers are going to do Stringer. For whatever reason, a dark-blue rock star 'Darth Vader' keeps popping in my head. Germay, Austria and Switzerland have had them for over a week and only France, Italy, Spain and Portugal have got them now as well. -Gata Quote

DraikNova Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) Awesome MOC Exxtrooper! Anyway, LEGOJang has posted videos of all the combiners! Made without the instructions of course, but they still look pretty accurate. Edited December 26, 2012 by DraikNova Quote
