MakutaDreadscythe Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Apart from...No, you´re right. Let´s hope we actually get to see some pictures before the year is over, anyway. Honestly, I hope we don't, at least until ToyFair anyway. I like a bit of mystery in my sets. Besides, it give the first Brain Attack wave time to sink in a bit, not to mention some sets like Evo, Stormer and the abominable snowman have already had a preview in the Brain Attack...ummm...preview...REDUNDANCY! Jetrax99 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I personally use a Midak Skyblaster for Bulk's Metal Sphere Shooter, it doesn't much look like the gun, but I'll be damned if it didn't replicate the "function" perfectly. Same, but I add a couple zamor magazines on the lower side to replicate the look of the original. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I hope we get an orange version of the new head. Quote
Phantoka_Chirox Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) For those who can't see the previews (and who don't live in the future): 1 2 3 4 It seems to be a progressive thing. Woah 2spooky. I had my speakers all up, and I'm not bullmegablocking, the sounds made me jump. I hope we get an orange version of the new head. Yeah! I mean, even the villains' got green heads underneath Edited December 28, 2012 by Phantoka_Chirox Quote
MakutaDreadscythe Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Right, over here in the UK the catalogues are popping through, so...hey. Prices. Furno XL - £14.99 Pyrox - £9.99 Bulk - £7.99 Bruizer - £9.99 Rocka - £7.99 Scarox - £7.99 Breez - £7.99 Ogrum - £9.99 So, about the same, except for the scout sets. They've gone up by £1. Bleh. Quote

Nike2032 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) Thanks nrg! Wow, those sound pretty cool (mainly the bad guys). But really, Rocka again. As much as I like him, I still don't think he deserves to appear twice in one year (but hey, Jet Rocka sounds interesting ). Wonder where brickset got these details from? I'm slightly suspicious of these details since Frost Beast sounds a bit fake IMO. Now to wait for pictures. Edited December 28, 2012 by Nike2032 Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 ! Where's Stringer? ... Where's... WHERE'S NEX?! WHY LEGO. Quote
Nike2032 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) ! Where's Stringer? ... Where's... WHERE'S NEX?! WHY LEGO. Oh yeah, where are they? Um... this sounds fake now.... Doesn't matter anyway, by the time the new website comes up (which is very soon), we'll probably be able to confirm a lot more things since Lego seems to like showing summer sets in advance nowadays. Nonetheless, I hope these are real since I think the bad guys sound very interesting. Edited December 28, 2012 by Nike2032 Quote
Gatanui Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 These could easily be fake if it weren't for the fact that they appear on Brickset. Still, pics or it didn't happen. :P I'll reserve any judgement till then. -Gata Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Considering as these guys are the ones who appear in the trailer... Eh. I might believe it. It's be cool to see a HF dragon. But NUUUUU gimme Stringer and Nex! Especially Stringer. Quote
MakutaDreadscythe Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Don't be throwing such a fit guys. This happened last year when they called Voltix Electro or something like that. Not to mention all this "Rampant Oceans" nonsense we had. Just wait till the pictures. Quote
Jouster Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Remember when they called Voltix, "Dynamo"? Yeah....Wait until pictures guys. Quote
Aanchir Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I'll be disappointed if we don't see Stringer and Nex. With that said, yeah, best to wait for pictures (frustrating how action figure theme pictures are consistently the last ones to appear online), though I'm not totally optimistic. Sure, names could be wrong, but I can't see why preliminary names for Nex and Stringer would be anything other than Nex and Stringer. Rocka being featured again is a bizarre choice. The name "Jet Rocka" is also puzzling. Best case scenario, it's a vehicle set of some kind, but I'm anticipating just Rocka in alternate equipment. Quote
DraikNova Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) I don't really believe this, but then again, summer pictures for other themes are surfacing right now, so...And the chance we might get a dragon (although LEGO would probably just make a relatively humanoid character and call it "dragon bolt") is exciting. Edited December 28, 2012 by DraikNova Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 The only reason why I'm believing this to some extent is because it was posted in Brickset, which to me is fairly reliable. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 OH. It'd be WONDERFUL if there were a Stringer-Nex limited edition set, kind of like Bulk and Vapour before but with heroes. Quote
Rocketbilly Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) I've long been expecting there to be a vehicle set for the heroes wih Rocka as the pilot - my reasons being as follows: Lego seems to always want Rocka to be the "main guy", but I can't imagine LEGO releasing two "canister" sets of the same character in the same theme...when you combine this logic with the fact that LEGO could easily decide to make the largest set of a wave a vehicle and a vehicle of course needs a pilot it makes sense to me to make that set feature Rocka... so Jet Rocka could easily be some sort of vehcile piloted by Rocka...of course it does sound more like Rocka with some sort of specialist equipment....but yeah, this set list might not even be real. I find it hard to believe we won't get a Stringer and Nex and some of those villain names sound a bit off to me. Of course this could also just be an incomplete list...after all, there are only seven sets. Each set released in both the Breakout AND Brain Attack themes has had a counterpart with which they could combine. Each Hero needs a villain, and there are only three villains...which to me hints strongly of an incomplete list, if nothing else. MAYBE it's six small and medium sized bagged sets and one larger set (which, if that is the case I strongly suspect to be Rocka) but that still doesn't make sense to me, given it'd be the "odd set out". True, but if Jet Rocka is a vehicle set it might not be expected to play by the same rules as the other sets when it comes to combination models. Might have an alternate model instead. On that note, what if it's a Rocka with specialized equipment that can be rebuilt into Rocka in a vehicle, much like Millennium Slizer/Millennia? Quote
Shakar Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Disappointing list so far, for the lack of Nex/Stringer and Rocka's unneccessary return. But- Remember when we knew about Speeda Demon almost a week after the other set pics came up, and he existed as a rumour for months, until a catalogue pic of him came up? Quote

Yeah, but we only knew about him at all because I personally sent a PM to the source stating that it seemed it was suspicious for there not to be a larger villain to fight Stormer XL. Everyone who was leaking the pictures seemed to just be ignoring him and/or accidentally looking over him. Either that or he wasn't included in that version of the catalog. That could be the case here, but I doubt it somewhat. :/ Edited December 28, 2012 by Mesonak Quote

You could be right but I can't see it happening myself. I wouldn't be surprised though, for some reason I'm expecting this Summer wave to be a small one and for us to have another two heroes on top of that list along with accompanying villains seems a little more than I was expecting (though I suppose only two more sets than I was anticipating - I was just expecting the rest of the Heroes and a villain for each, no repeats of characters) as for the Rocka Idea: I think that's a great idea. I loves Millenium Slizer and think it could work out quite well - but if all of the pieces in the set are to be used for both configurations then it's likely one will end up looking far nicer than the other - plus I can imagine the specialised equipment for Rocka wouldn't look quite "right" unless of course it was just something like a jetpack that was integrated into his build or something. Cahillrebel Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Hey guys. I am new here and thought I would go with this topic first since I like the theme. For the new set names, if the list is real, I am disappointed there isn't Nex and Stringer sets listed. I am also torn between the names of the villians and Jet Rocka. Aquadon sounds like the most set-like name of the bunch and kind of tells us Evo is going underwater this time around like Furno did before. Dragon Bolt sounds ok and probably not final. Frost Beast is definately not final. Still, though, the set we saw of him in the trailer does look awesome. Jet Rocka actually sounds cool if it means he has a jet to fly in. It is either a limited edition or it is a second set to be alongside Surge against Dragon Bolt(New big set maybe?). Quote
MakutaDreadscythe Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) On another note, it seems apparent the new Brain Attack game has been released. Seems a bit surreal to see them donning PSY's invisible horse, but nonetheless it did make me laugh the first time. Edited December 28, 2012 by MakutaDreadscythe Quote
ZORK64 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I'm confused about Jet Rocka, since Surge seems to be the aerial hero in that wave (which is the reason why I kinda start hoping that Dragon Bolt becomes his enemy, which would result in an awesome looking dragon monster with wings). Also, no Stringer? Blargh. Quote
