Aanchir Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 It was never confirmed this wave was called Rampant Oceans, just saying. In fact, I think if anything this list confirms that the "Rampant Oceans" wave is bogus since none of the villain set titles sound the least bit oceanic. About time, IMO. There's no reason people should have had any faith in that rumor to begin with-- not when we had a perfectly good 2012 series for people to be excited about without having to look for rumors sprouting up long before legitimate info had any reason to surface. MakutaNocturn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Pyrox* Am I the only one who thaught about that? :p It would be nice to see a good flamethrower. Not like in the Nitroblast... Quote
DraikNova Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 While I loved the Nitroblast set, the flamethrower was indeed a bit lacking. Quote
Jouster Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I think Pyrox and Scarox are twins or something like that. :V Quote
Gatanui Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Wait what? Only eight sets? Supposing they make LoC action figures, it makes sense, though. And it's just as much as the winter 2012 wave in the US and Canada. It appears all Heroes except for Furno XL (obviously) are small sets and all villains but one (Scarox) are mid-sized again. The names and Hero choices are interesting, to say the least. I really hope some villains will use black or blue. I guess this means no Von Nebula, at least in this wave, but Villain Factory could very well be possible as there isn't any theme derivable from the names. Pictures should really be around the corner now. -Gata Quote
Jetrax99 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) @Wout, I don't care how blurry they are, I want pictures so I have an idea of what we're dealing with. Edited September 15, 2012 by Jetrax99 Quote
DraikNova Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 At least from pictures you can guess the approximate shape and colorscheme. Quote
vexorian Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Now that we have actual names, I think it is time to have a real HF 2013 thread. This is no longer speculation. Rock on. How is Rocka overused? Before 2013 he has been in exactly two waves, just like Evo. Sure, he got an XL form in one of those waves in addition to his 3.0 form, but by that logic they should stop featuring any of the heroes from 2010 (since EVERY ONE has been in at least three pre-2013 sets, and Bulk in particular has been in four). This would be fine by me. Quote
DraikNova Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I´m hoping that for summer 2013 they´ll just feature an entirely new team, probably with the uncreative name of Beta 2. Quote
vexorian Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) I'd like Bulk , Stormer and/or Stringer to go evil. If it happened with Nessie once, then it can happen again. Edited September 15, 2012 by vexorian Quote
Kalhiki Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Cool names, but I still want pics. Hopefully, Furno won't use the same build as Stormer in the XL form. I'd like some creativity. Plus, I don't think the Hulk chest would work. Breez and Stringer coming back is great. Rocka... Okay, I can live with him. Can't say much about the villains. Kalhiki Quote
Mr. Gundam Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I'm totally expecting a stormer XL build for Furno, atleast it will have the feet. They put more imagination into the villians anyway so I'm excited to see what they gonna look like. Can't say the choices for the heroes bother me at all. Furno and Rocka have rivalry going on, Bulk was second best set to come out (1st Core Hunter) of this wave, Breez is the oddball out to me. Although I consider best looking hero out of her wave too. Zachattacx Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Kinda on the edge of the fence here, don't like the villain names for this, also is this part of breakout still, mainly because it looks like the villains are out of order again(as in names)? My Opinions Heroes Furno XL=Finally Furno gets his XL form.Fire themed.Orange and red color scheme. The body design should be that along the lines of Stormer Xl.$19.99 Rocka=Don't know why people complaining he is overused, but I think gold, black, and trans-green color scheme.Breakout form sorta updated for body design.$9.99 Bulk=My Fave, silver, black, orange, and gunmetal color scheme.I have a feeling he will go against Bruizer for some reason,in that case Bulk should be really bulky.$12.99 Breez=Green,Red,and White color scheme.Body design should be along the lines of feminine, but knowing Lego NO.$9.99 Villains Pyrov/x=Fire villain, judging be him/her's name.Body design should be fire theme and should be the big villain of this line.Red,orange, yellow and black color scheme.Furno's villain I think.$19.99 Scarox=Can't tell yet what element or power he/her has.Going with insect design.$9.99 Bruizer=A villain who is bulky and loves to fight.Body design should be along the lines of a boxer(Real Steel)type.Silver, green, and black color scheme.$12.99 Ogrum=Got the wrong impression by his/her's name .Can't tell yet what this is supposed to be. That's It. Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Nothing much we can garner from the names really. I do wonder whether it'll be a themed wave or a mix and match like Breakout. Hopefully we'll see the remaining Heroes in the next wave. Quote
Shakar Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) @ Zachattacx Going by the pricing, it seems we're going back to the old formula of small size Heroes and mid size Villains. I personally liked the size variety of Breakout (maybe kids didn't? : /), though it's interesting to note that the 2013 small Heroes are all characters who were released as mid size in Heroes in 2012. I wonder if they're really planning to swap the Heroes sizes (12.99 Euro Stringer/Nex/Evo/Surge/Stormer vs 4 8.99+1 19.99 Villains?). But this is just speculation. Still, we all saw Furno XL coming from a while away, didn't we? : P Not going to say anything about the villains. EDIT: Purpl'd. Doing it on a mobile is a nightmare. DraikNova Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Kinda obvious that they´re remaking Furno, but I´m still hoping for a Surge XL. Or possibly an XL of a purple hero. Quote
Shakar Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) Well, it seems they like making a new XL every year, who knows what 2014 has in store (IF they do continue HF in 2014). At this point, much as I'd love a 10th Hero, I doubt we're having one this late. Summer 2012 would have been the best time, but it seems they want to stick to the 9 Hero team they established. Jackattack7 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I wish there was a huge indestructible XL version of Von Nebula (maybe called Lord Nebula.) Quote
DraikNova Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I guess they would name him Nebula Lord. Quote
Kalhiki Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I'm going to assume we'll have a summer wave for 2013. But if so, I wonder if we'll get an XL Hero. Stormer would make the most sense, but having him in Breakout wave 2 just seems repetitive. And if he isn't in an XL form, it would be weird having the veteran smaller than Furno. But enough speculating for Summer. I have high hopes for this wave, but I mainly just want a new skeleton design. And by that I mean waist articulation. Because that would be awesome. Kalhiki Quote
DraikNova Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I want LEGO to make a large set using the 2.0 system and try to give it as much articulation as possible. Quote

Kalhiki I agree that waist articulation would be a huge benefit to the building system. Alas, though, I've tried doodling concepts on graph paper, and it's hard to come up with a good design that 1) keeps heroes at around the same size they are currently and 2) doesn't reduce usable connection points. At least one of the torso components would also probably require a mold with sliders, raising the cost compared to the current torso beams which just require two-section molds as far as I can tell. In general, though, I'm sure the brilliant minds at TLG could come up with a workable solution more easily than I can, and I hope they do eventually. The HF building system is great but there's always more ways in which it could continue to develop. Quote

You sure love purple don't you ,but all jokes aside a purple hero or XL version would be amazing...Evo XL anyone.@Jackattack7:That kind of Nebula would be highly awesome, actually I can get used to "Lord Nebula" if it happens, but I would love to see Nebula become a Stormer XL type build, mainly because none of the other titan builds suit him(WD too tall,FL too lanky)and the Stormer XL type of build works perfectly..with a little bit more armor and spikes.
