And the 'Who is Scarox? Meet Rocka' is just weird. Is someone going to do a Scarox review BTW?

I wanted to make one and it's almost done, but with university having started again on Monday I didn't get around to it (or rather my brother who edits the photos). Hopefully we'll get it done this weekend.

Lol, I had gotten tired of the old website and now I want it back. :P

Isn't their some website archive? I remember using it for old Bionicle.coms

And isn't confusing not to list the new sets under the products? All you see is the Breakout sets. You have no idea that the small shadows of the new sets are what you click on to view the them.

There's the wayback machine, but they haven't archived anything from 2012 yet, unfortunately.

That's what I meant. :P

My main gripe with Bulk isn't that he isn't bulky - his build is fine - it's his helmet. I hate how it looks. It's probably the mouth that puts me off the most. I understand that Lego had to give him a face since his original relied on the Glatorian head to provide his face, but this one looks atrocious. Plus, it removes the mouth guard of his original helmet, which to me is what characterises his helmet the most. Breez's face is also creepy, but to a lesser extent. I'm so glad they didn't do this with Surge, and covered up his mouth instead.

Personally, I've warmed up to Bulk's new face. It would have more classic appeal if it had the mouth guard, but unfortunately that's probably not possible. And it still evokes his personality pretty well for me. I also like Breez's face-- it's nice to see a feminine helmet that doesn't eliminate the mouth. To be fair, though, I also liked the personality added by the mouths of the Toa Inika masks.

Wouldn't it be sweet if the Hero Factory story got dark all of a sudden? Like what if the rumors about Thresher being a secret villain are actually true and he ends up defeating the HF (temporarily of course until the next year when they defeat him)? It would be like how in 2008 Bionicle had that plot twist with Teridax taking over Mata Nui's body and ultimately ruling over the whole planet of Aqua Magna.

"Got dark all of a sudden"? No, I don't think that would be sweet. I think that would be emotional discontinuity. If it's going to get dark, then it should do so gradually (not that "not being dark" is its problem).

Thresher being a secret villain would be a terrible and implausible plot twist, and I'll explain why in a moment.

Not really...Core Hunter and Von Nebula also used to be heroes and they turned into villains.

That's still a very different case because both of those characters were villains when we met them-- the plot twist wasn't that they were now villains, but that they were once heroes. Here's where emotional discontinuity again comes into play. Everything we've ever seen of Thresher establishes him as a character with a strong moral code; a reliable leader; a character you can trust. Abruptly re-imagining him as a secret villain isn't character development so much as character derailment.

Now, it's possible that he and the classified research firm where he works will have a role in the Brain Attack books. And if so, it will almost certainly be as a protagonist of some variety. He has been on a planet where they're researching psychic powers of some sort, which could be related to the brain invasion, but keep in mind that from what we've heard he's working security there-- not leading the research.

Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this - I just downloaded the latest version of LDD for Mac. I can't find many of the HF pieces, like the Breakout torso - have they not been added? I tried activating Lego Universe mode, but I can't seem to be able to unlock the new pieces.

LEGO Universe mode no longer exists, so that shouldn't be a factor at all. It was replaced with LDD Extended mode, which is unlocked on the newest version by default. The basic LDD mode is missing some more recent parts, including the Breakout torso shell, but LDD Extended mode does not have this problem.

Look at the poster behind xDD

Hilarious! Nice to see some continuity-based humor in the show.

I liked the Toa Inika's mouths because they had proper shape (read: "lips", I'll explain more in a bit) which gave them personality. Bulk's and Breez's are basically, oh, let's just cut a hole in the shape of a mouth. I probably wouldn't dislike it as much as I do right now if they'd given the mouths additional contours around it, to make it look less lazy and just cut out.

I've realized that, thanks for the info still though.

EDIT: On a side note, made a trip to a local toy store today to ask whether the new Brain Attack sets had arrived. The store retailer took out his retail catalog to check, and I caught a glimpse of the summer prelims! I asked if I could get a better look at them but unfortunately I got a negative reply. It really kills me knowing the (clearer) pics were right there in front of me, I wanted a closer look at Aquagon and Frost Beast's lower half.

Well Thresher would be great as a secret villain, because it's the least suspecting and there can always be someone who you've always trusted but turns out to be the most sinister of them all. It would be cool to see that here, it would sort of be like a hero factory version of Palpatine betraying the Jedi.

The main problem with the Brain Attack helmets is that they have to incorporate the visors. It's a really neat feature, but it means the faces have to be designed to fit them.

Bulk's is okay, but end up looking a little odd (I keep thinking of Transformers for some reason). I like Breez's, and I'm kinda meh on Furno's and Rocka's.

I'm going to try this!

We need somebody to A. Steal the retail catalog or B. Take pictures when nobody is looking.

Actually, if I had a chance to look at a retailer's catalogue, I'd go straight for the Chima Ultrabuilds. We already have an idea how the HF summer lineup will look like, but have no clue on how the Chima Ultrabuilds are.

Good idea. I'd probably do the same. I really want to see the raven set especially - the black sets in any given constructable figure line tend to be my favourites and with us now knowing (apparently) all of the sets for this year I can't help but feel a little shafted on the black set front. No Stringer, no analogous villain for him to fight. Compared to last year where we got Black Phantom, Stringer, Core Hunter...aswell as lots of nice black pieces on other sets who weren't primarily black.

I wonder if there are store employees who would have allowed you to look at the catalogue. Best idea so people have a sense of what is coming up and an plan to purchase them when they are available in the store. Guess that guy didn't think about that.

Whoa! Is maybe just me, call me crazy or addict if you want, but I wa just playing the Brain Attack game for about 45 minutes on wave 20 and gained 3 gold medals ( the strange thing i that I suicide to the train road when I had 45 minutes)

Ps: yeah!, it will be very nice if someone could take photos to the catalog.......

and I am thinking (dont know why, that the "frost beast" will have pretty similar legs to Pyrox's.... But I will prefer a new feet mold.... :sceptic:

Otherwise, I will also like to know (with more certain and clearer images) how woud the head and body structure of Aquagon and Dragonbolt.. and also the weapon(only on aquagon, because from what I know, Don't think Dragon Bolt would need weapon(He is A Weapon  ........or Dragon however you wanna call it!! :sweet: ))

Scumbag LEGO store: told me to come back in a week... is under renovations until spring.

On the plus side, all Target had in the way of 2013 sets was Furno XL. So I got him. Wheeeeee.
