The Shanion Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Welcome Eurobricks.com users! I'm a user from Russia, as you might guess. Thanks to the efforts Balldzhoints.ru forum I found for you a photo from Toy Fair exhibition in London. The pictures Jet Rock, a little further is Stormer. http://www.servimg.c...i=12&u=17924861 Edited January 30, 2013 by Brickthing Web-translated the post from Russian. Quote
howie28 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Stormer is in the background and it looks like his sword is silver. Jet Rocka definitely doesn't look as good as in the show. I'll still get it, but it's a shame that the windscreen doesn't cover the top.You could use Laval's blade for stormer (if he even gets one). Edited January 30, 2013 by howie28 Quote
DraikNova Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Jet Rocka looks awesome. I would have preferred a gunmetal jet, however. Anyway, since a lot of the parts are just replacements for ones they haven't produced yet, I think there's still a chance we'll get a trans-blue sword in Stormer. Anyway, I like that we're going to get more Breakout Blasters, but the fact that the windscreen doesn't provide full cover is indeed disappointing. Let's hope that's also a preliminary point and that we're getting a new windscreen. Edited January 30, 2013 by DraikNova Quote
Rocketbilly Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Well, the goal of Pick-A-Brick isn't to be comprehensive. I for one appreciate that they're even providing so many great parts from Breakout wave two rather than just focusing on 2013 parts. EDIT: Just wanted to point out that I've cross-referenced some of the parts with their Element IDs on Service.LEGO.com and in the sets' instruction booklets. The undecorated Breakout torso shells are in fact NOT AN ERROR. Or rather, if they are an error, the error is not the image/360-degree spin but rather the parts' presence on the list, because the Element IDs listed specify the undecorated, never-released-in-sets versions of the parts (decorated ones have higher Element IDs). The same is true of the undecorated transparent Brain Attack visor-- its element ID doesn't correspond with the decorated version and its name does not indicate a decoration. Curious. I think it would be nice to get undecorated versions of some of these elements...but I'm not so sure if that is the case here. I can't get on to the PaB section of the site at the moment (nor any of the LEGO site in general) but I'd imagine the best indicator of the nature of the pieces in question would be by price - printed parts always seem to be expensive, especially those Breakout torsos - though I don't remember an unprinted one being for sale there before so I suppose it'd be hard to compare the prices. Either way there's something a bit odd going on with this pieces, I think. From what I've read, something doesn't add up. Quote
Dorek Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) I imagine Stormer will have a blue sword; if not, there's bound to be one with Laval, so. Stormer still looks okay; might just get his helmet and visor and stick it on Stormer XL, but I'm interested in those overlarge fang pieces on his sword; have we seen those before? Still excited about Rocka! As for PaB, I figured the ID numbers matched, but I doubt they actually have any of those lying around. If they do, sweet deal. If not, they'll replace them at some point once they put the finishing touches on it. Edited January 30, 2013 by Dorek Quote
Shakar Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I would have liked if the jet was dark bley or titanium metallic, but it still looks good. Rocka is medium sized like Surge and Stormer this time, but there seem to be some non regular building techniques involved in the torso, look at those gold 3M shells. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) I was wondering about Rocka's torso too. Probably just normal attachment for the 3m shells and then a Stormer XL piece added onto the skeleton to add the Brain Attack torso. Edited January 30, 2013 by DraikNova Quote
howie28 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 And he has friction joints on his knees (and probably hips) to hold it up. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) You can see the friction joints on his legs if you look close enough. I think there´s a beam mechanism to support him as well. Edited January 30, 2013 by DraikNova Quote
Dorek Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 The beam mechanism is probably a handle, like the 2008 BIONICLE vehicles had (and Drop Ship? Never got it =/), I'm just hoping it has a trigger to unfold the jetpack wings. Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I imagine Stormer will have a blue sword; if not, there's bound to be one with Laval, so. Stormer still looks okay; might just get his helmet and visor and stick it on Stormer XL, but I'm interested in those overlarge fang pieces on his sword; have we seen those before? Indeed we have. The fang pieces have been in several Chima sets. The beak on Razcal's Glider, and the claws on Lennox's Lion Attack (and I'm sure others). Jet Rocka looks nice. But I'd still love it if it was more in line with Jet-Power Prime from the second Transformers movie. Give Rocka massive boots (or better yet, rocket boots) along with a jetpack. Kalhiki Quote
vexorian Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Wish they used bley. White is not too neutral. It does not even look good with Rocka and there are so few heroes that could actually use the Jet. The design itself is allright, but has a bit more holes than I would have liked. Will have to buy it because of the green shells and ball launcher, unfortunately. And I am not entirely sure if that system Canopy was released in trans green before. I think I will rob the idea and try making my own version of a "Jet". Edited January 30, 2013 by vexorian Quote
Shakar Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) I just checked PaB, lots of stuff isn't available yet (at least here), but the XT4 torso, the double C, the new hole/balljoint/hole, the friction sockets, and maybe we're getting unprinted Breakout torsos too, so many new stuff.... Speaking of Jet Rocka again, I still think a darker colour scheme would looked better. Also, there are too many exposed holes, though my global perception of the vehicle might change depending on how well deisgned the wing/booster sections are. I wonder how many white pieces could be replaced with bley ones? Rocka looks definitely cooler than his Winter form (which I got last Sunday BTW..kinda bland compared to Breakout Rocka, but I love the sword), though the higher amount of pieces certainly helps his look. Looks like I was right about Stormer's and Frost Beast's transparent blue shells after all. Edited January 30, 2013 by Shakar Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 You can see Frost Beast in the far background too. He has bright red eyes apparently. Blue Brain with red eyes, that's gorgeous. I'm a bit mixed on Jet Rocka. I do like the handles, but right now it kind of looks like a cluster. I wonder from which ToyFair were these taken from? Quote

Yeah, Jet Rocka isn't nearly as refined-looking as the Furno Bike and Drop Ship. But still, its functions might redeem it. I was hoping for gray or silver instead of white, but the white might work for it at other angles. Wish it had a larger windscreen as well-- was expecting the one from the Slave I, though that might not fit... hard to say. Stormer looks gorgeous in the background there. Looking forward to more pics. These are all from the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I thought the picture we got in that LEGO video had a dark-grey/black Jet Rocka? Why the sudden colour change for it? I hope this is just a prototype and the final set is a different colour or something. White and gold looks good but this looks like the guys at ToyFair put the set together with spare parts. D: Quote
TheRedGuy Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Is that a new transparent green color on Rocka's forearms, or is it just me? Quote

D: You mean the really fuzzy picture with ill-defined features, washed colors, and of box-art (which always includes effects to boot)? Yeah... Anyhow, I'm still excited. Sure, it looks a bit technic-y, but assuming function (and detachable Rocka!), it'll be an amazing set. Quote
Shakar Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 ^^ I'm pretty sure that is tr. bright green like on the rest of the set. 4M shells in that colour were introduced with the winter wave. ^^ Speaking of PaB- the Breakout torso shells are way less expensive than the printed pieces they were selling before (0,75 Euro vs 2,17 Euro), so they're likely going to be not printed, after all. Sadly, it seems yellow, white and tr. blue are the only available colours..I would've loved a titanium metallic one. Quote
georgebjones Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Hopefully this means an update to LDD sometime soon. Isn't that how it happened most recently? PAB was updated, and then LDD not long after? Or was it the other way around... I don't remember. Quote
Aethersprite Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) I'm glad Lego decided to buff up Rocka, he looks much better. As for the jetpack... I'm okay with the white, but I wish that windscreen was transparent instead. EDIT: Ooh, I love how the Hero symbol on the windscreen aligns with that on his chest. Bigger Fish Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Lego updated Hero Factory website. Now, there are some small annotations when you move your mouse on the weapon, shield, helmet etc. And, Breez is described as a man :/ Yeah... About them saying that she is a he. Ever notice how LEGO can seem a bit sexist in their exclusion of women from there action lines? It's as if they think that if little boys found out that "He" is actually a she, they'd think it would be "Icky" and not buy them anymore. Also, I got Breez and Bruizer for Christmas last year and I thought that they were cool. I, for one, like Bruizer's punching action, kinda reminded me of the first years of Bionicle. Quote
Aethersprite Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Taking a closer look at Jet Rocka... The jet is looking quite jumbled. White, light bley, gunmetal... It's quite clashing. Also, noticed that he has silver Exo Force arms on his chest, rather than gold ones. Quote

I can also see half of Furno XL's shield in the middle behind his legs. Edited January 31, 2013 by howie28 Quote
Cahillrebel Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Two things I would like to point out that no one has noticed. #1. There looks to be some kind of green piece off to the left of the picture by the Phantoka Kopaka wings and it looks like a new piece. #2. His hands look slightly different then the ones we have already. Looking at how he is holding the handle bars, you see the area that should be an axle shape actually be a more round hole. Could this be a new hand piece? Quote
