Head's a custom part, eh? Sad. I really would like to get my hands on one.

Still, I'd love it if you put it on Cuusoo. The model looks fantastic, and I'd really like to have one of my own.

As for making a copy to show details, yes please.

Wow I check out the pictures myself and I'm complete lost at some of you guys wanting this as a set. the Leg alone has enough parts for an over $15 XL Hero. This is confusing since there would be protest for sets being to expensive.

Sound like some of you guys what gunpla, which is $20-$100 buildable sets made out of HF parts. Wonder if TLC ever thought of connecting to to a older fanbase like that.

I think painting that model white and green was one of the greatest crimes committed in LEGO history.

I mean, it looks so great in black.

If it appeared in Cuusoo I would vote for it, but would be very depressed because I wouldn't be able to buy it. I doubt it would do well in Cuusoo though. It is not licensed, and it is not system.

If this set appeared in my store for around 70 USD, I would be fine buying it. I don't think it has that many bricks to amount for more than 100 USD. But even then I would probably get it. I'd say most of the action figures lurkers got Kardas and Ultimate Dume, so it is not so surprising.

I didn't get Kardas or Dume D:

It's an awesome build, and the white and green is interesting enough(I think dark blue and gold would be better, though), but it wouldn't be great as a set price-wise. Which is a shame, really.

I'd love to see the back of that figure.. wonder what that looks like.

Actually, each leg has only around 40 pieces (I've built them on LDD), though many of them are fairly bulky parts so $15 for each leg might not be a bad estimate. Overall, while this model is quite large, keep in mind that Witch Doctor (about the same size, albeit thinner and less armored) was only $35, and Toa Mata Nui was only $50. So overall a model like this could still end up cheaper than some of the largest BIONICLE sets, like the Manas ($90) or Axalara T9 ($80).

I can't imagine protest for a model like this being too expensive, at least not from people who regularly purchase Hero Factory models and understand their pricing. Now, fewer people would buy a set that expensive than would buy a regular HF set, but that's why Cuusoo might be an ideal platform for such a model-- it would mean producing it in smaller production runs as often as is needed to meet demand, versus a few regularly-scheduled large-scale production runs that could potentially leave a lot of overstock.

whoa!! that is epic!! *oh2*

that head looks fantastic. though, it probably wouldn't look that good in another MOC. i like the black version, actually, more than the painted version.

too bad its not an official set from HF lines. but if that thing popped out on CUUSOO, i'll definitely give my support.

judging from the piece count, the price would probably about 60-70 USD.

My rough estimate would be 45-55 USD for Christoffer's build. Not sure how expensive the helicopter blades are though.

Incidentally, do you know what the piece count is for the build? I'm estimating somewhere between 200 and 300, but that's an awfully broad range still. I can tell each arm and leg uses around 40 pieces, but I can't for the life of me figure out the piece count of the torso.

The torso uses a lot of 5M C-Beams, which kind of forms the spine. I don't know if that can be seen in the pictures from Copenhagen. I went up to the action-figure team today, to see if the model was back from Copenhagen, but it isn't. But I promise I will post stuff on this model in the future.

I have been on a shopping rage the last two year's February, HF on sale, so expect large stuff from me too in the future. The piece count will make the helicopter-dude look like a dwarf.

I can't wait for your MOC Front. I expect it to be really great, and if it dwarfs that menace I will be checking this forum with anticipation.

That looks great DraikNova. The biggest thing I've made (in a separate topic) is nowhere near that size. My guy could probably ride your HALosauras.

100th post! I'm a citizen!

Eh, in my opinion, size alone doesn't make a model all that impressive (though making a large model with good posability and stability alike takes a lot of talent). What really captured my interest in Christoffer's model was how it was very substantial in size but it was also well-armored and cohesive-looking. A lot of larger HF MOCs start to feel gappy or pieced-together once they reach a certain size. With that said, Front, I look forward to seeing what kind of models you can cook up!

Back on the topic of the new Pick-a-Brick selection, my order arrived today, and the parts listed online (the torsos and visors) sans printing are indeed print-free. Just in case anyone was curious! The trans-blue Stringer torso is lovely without the printing.

I wonder how that titan build would look if the Breakout torso shells it uses were tr. blue (and the "normal" torso shells were replaced with Breakout ones).

Did you pick up the unprinted Furno XL visor? If you did, I'd love to see a picture of it. Even better if you can make a MOC with it!

Wait. I didn't know pick a brick had unprinted pieces that were usually printed. Guess I am missing out on that stuff.

Yep, that's something that got added in the latest update. Unprinted Breakout torsos in Bright Yellow, White, and Transparent Blue and unprinted Brain Attack visors in Transparent. One thing that's nice about this is that it cuts down on the price of those parts while simultaneously increasing their versatility.

Incidentally, I notice that the thing those three Breakout torsos have in common is that they're all from small ($8.99) Hero sets. So perhaps for some reason TLG overproduced those parts, anticipating a later production run of those sets which never came. Or perhaps they just decided that there'd be more demand for the colors from the smaller hero sets since more people would likely own the printed versions. Either way, it's a nice selection.

Connecting the idea of 2013 parts and big MOCs together, I am placing an order for a few hundred bone pieces.

This can't possibly end well.

Also getting some of the newer heads and going to grab some visors as well. Never know when they can come in handy I guess
