DraikNova Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 A few hundred? What are you making, a life-size T-Rex? Quote
Cahillrebel Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I am guess a big moc and that is it. Maybe it is a life sized humanoid moc. People have made life sized hands out of bionicle pieces a couple times. Quote
Logan McOwen Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 I might just use Nail Varnish remover to take the prints off my Breakout Torsos. It worked on my Savage Planet decal Shells, so why not these? Quote
howie28 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 It should work the same. I don't like to do that to parts in case it doesn't work properly, which would render them useless. Quote
WARHEAD Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 It works completely fine, at least it did for me anyway. I don't really like printing that's too character specific so I take it all off. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I might just use Nail Varnish remover to take the prints off my Breakout Torsos. It worked on my Savage Planet decal Shells, so why not these? If it worked on the Savage Planet decals it should definitely work on just about anything with a smooth surface. One of the main risks I've heard of for using any kind of chemical solvent to remove prints is that with stronger solvents there might be streak marks left in the plastic, which shows most clearly on transparent parts. If transparent parts turned out all right then that risk is no longer a factor. Quote

If transparent parts turned out all right then that risk is no longer a factor. Another issue is that with certain parts, 100% of the print doesn't come out. Sure, the part looks clean, but in some lights you can see a slight glint of the decal that was once there. This can sometimes add a really neat effect though. Quote
MakutaDreadscythe Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Right, considering people were asking about the Frost Beast torso, I believe Frost Beast uses that technic piece that was used to attatch Kiina's arms (the one that kinda looks like a T except not really, I don't know it's name). I've tried assembling it at my house and it seems to work. Should have a picture later on. Quote

MakutaDreadscythe Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 this? http://www.brickset....s/?part=4142543 Yeah, that thing, with glatorian and hordika necks on both sides. Quote
Cahillrebel Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Yea. Speaking of Frost Beast, is he really Pyrox's brother as I heard people call him. Yes they both have a weapon in their right hand the both of them have a left claw hand. However they have different builds so aren't really copies of each other. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 this? http://www.brickset.com/parts/?part=4142543 More likely this, its modern-day equivalent. Quote
Dorek Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Haha, I didn't even know they had updated that piece. I've had so many potential MOC's foiled by that triangle design... if only I could remember any of them. Quote

No,not really.I started calling him a "polar opposite" version of Pyrox, not brother, but still funny. As for Frost Beast, your method sounds like it would work MakutaDreadscythe, but I certainly can't be sure, unless there is a top view of Frost Beast. EDIT: Got Furno XL yesterday, amazing set. Shakar Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I've thought about that piece being use on Frost Beast, my only worry is that it is 1/2 module deep, so the connection might be flimsy. But I'm sure deisgners have come up with a sturdy connection. Frost Beast is in many ways an Ice!Pyrox, yes. But I feel he's much more solid as a set, due to a more interesting colour scheme, better proportions and a height suited for a 13 Euro set. The tr. light blue claws and his sword (LoC Ultrabuilds use it, but in t. metallic and tr. red) look great. Quote
howie28 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I think it uses two of those triangle parts for Frost Beast. Quote
coolkwins Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I'll be skeptic as long as the same source claims there will be TMNT sets. Actually, there are. I saw some at Target the other day. I think it uses two of those triangle parts for Frost Beast. I don't get what you mean by Triangle Parts. Quote

mrfang2 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 hey guys, dont know if its news or not, but the manager at my lego store said they are getting the new brain attack sets in on april/may. that seems a bi earlier than usual, but im not sure. Quote
Zachattacx Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 April? For My B-Day?nah,May or June seems more like it. Quote
Kalhiki Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 April or May? Seems pretty early. But I'm not going to complain if it's true. The sooner I get these sets the better, if you ask me. But, of course, I'm sure they'll be released later than that. Kalhiki Quote
vexorian Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 It could happen. But I am going to wait till November regardless of what happens with your retailer. #thirdworldproblems. Quote

Considering how early we got the Ultrabuilds last year (I'm making this link as they had most of the new moulds in their set design) and how willing LEGO was to show off all the Summer sets in the trailers and in the episode, I think there's a good chance.
