I assume that if we're having a building contest, we'll know soon enough if anyone was lying about their set. Surely if someone builds something with an invalid number, it won't be counted, right?

Since it seems the numbers are just there for the building contest, I now feel safe in revealing that mine is 4431

From what I make out from the rules, the day will end once a majority is reached, so I'd suggest we hold off on voting for Mary just yet. I'm not really convinced by the case against her anyway. I don't know why the scum would want to draw so much attention to themselves. If they wanted to lie about their number, I would've expected them to pick a more believable one. And unless all of Mary's scum partners also had non-city sets (which seems unlikely), she would've felt safe in revealing that she had a Star Wars set anyway.

Susan (TPRUS) claims to be something I never knew existed.

Susans set is just weird. Did she chicken out because her real set number was the number of an ‘evil’ looking/sounding set? How the heck are we supposed to use that set in the building contest? So just admit it. You changed your set number and now that action backfired on you!

Out of these three Susans case strikes me as most odd. So I shall Vote: Susan (TinyPiesRUs)

I assume you're talking about Mary here? Otherwise, I have no clue what you're talking about.

Let's test it: 5932

Yes, that is a set. I don't know what you're trying to achieve here. Are you going to keep posting random 4-digit numbers until you find one that isn't a lego set? I just baked a cookie. Do you want a cookie?

Well, I won't be voting based on number. I have had a few pings, and while most probably are harmless, I'm sure one or two are right on.

Share share share! Don't keep them to yourself!

You may now vote. With 24 players, a majority vote of 13 is required.

Stacy took the stage.

"I'm looking at the schedule of events for future days, and it appears the numbers correspond with sets that the passengers will use for a building contest. Details on that will come later I assume." she said.

Oh, I need to catch up...

I don't think it will reveal scum at all, but there could be roles or secret factions that need to find pieces or something. Who knows?

I personally don't see the point of everyone sharing info that is private, and that we don't know the relevance of, when it's possible there are some who do know and it may be useful to them. It's possible some here have made themselves a night action target simply by revealing their sets. Again though, who knows? Maybe they were only window dressing. In the first Bloodbrick, five different rooms were assigned randomly, but that was for the purpose of giving hints and clues that wouldn't be too overly revealing. Let's give it a day to see if there's any meaning behind them.

Honestly, Babs, although you're right that we don't ~necessarily~ know what the numbers mean, the more info we have, the easier it'll be to catch liars (ie. scum). I see no reason not to share your number.

On second views, it appears I misread the number. It is actually 9676. Sorry for the mistake.

It is an easy mistake to make.

Oh, oops. It's actually the Death Star. :hmpf:

Aha! I called it: a building challenge! :excited: That said, I'd be interested to see if anyone lied when announcing his or her number. I would be suspicious of Mary's mistake had she given us a City set when she first announced her number, but since her first set wasn't a set at all, but rather an armpiece, I think it's harmless.

Why are you so quick to dismiss the possibility she was lying? What arm piece? As several people pointed out, it's a First LEGO League set. Did you and your Scum team choose a piece number when trying to advise Mary to lie? Ping.

They would need to be careful, because if they claimed something others had, there would be a danger of being called a liar.

I find the idea of a building contest pretty baffling. This doesn't clear things up much at all.

Only two people have struck me as scummy, and even then, they were mild tells. One of them was Mary, for over-role playing and defensiveness. Since voting should be done earlier rather than later....

Vote: Mary (TheBoyWonder)

Isn't Diane (TrumpetKing67) being more defensive?

We don't yet know if these numbers have any significance whatsoever, let alone if the sets they (may) represent point to anything in particular. As I've pointed out, the only pattern I've noticed is that crew members have lower numbers, which also happen to be CITY sets. I find it highly unlikely that CITY means not scum, or that would mean that all the crew are innocent, which would break a fundamental rule of mafia.

What fundamental rule is that? All the crew could be innocent if the roles were selected randomly... I guess I don't follow what your point is.

How do you spell 'bandwagon?'

E-u-r-o-b-r-i-c-k-s

It did develop quickly and Mary is notoriously doofusy, so I'm worried about this conviction, except for the fact that she ran off and hasn't defended herself.

I'm not going to lie, I actually completely forgot my name was Jordan this game. When I say Stacy's "Michael Jordan and the third guy" post, I glazed it thinking it wasn't relevant to me.

I'll answer them now:

Another embarrassing confession: I actually didn't check my role PM for the number when the numbers began to be revealed. I actually thought that God was PMing them to us at that moment, and didn't see a new message. When I saw that everyone seemed to have a number, I went back and checked my PM and double checked, and then saw my number.

See above on the late claim. I have a theory on why we all have CITY sets, but I honestly think outing it out loud would help scum more than town.

Vote: Jordan (Tamamono) Tee-hee, oh silly me, I made some mistakes but I'm innocent. If we keep pushing about those mistakes we'll get a crazy roleclaim. Yes, it's metagaming, but I'll admit that and go as far as to call it the iamded-defense method.

Vote: Jonathan (Hinckley) I thought we agreed once upon a time that lurkers only hurt the town. So speak up and stop being one already.

Want me to talk? How about this? Shut your ugly face. If you want to vote for a lurker, then vote for a lurker. For me to be lurking, I'd have to be around reading but not posting, but I haven't even been around. Huge difference. I'm here now and hardly lurking. Have fun wasting your vote.

At somewhat the start of this day, I said the following:

Which is terribly shallow and no game host in his proper state of mind would do something so obvious as giving the members of team scum ‘evil’ looking/sounding LEGO set numbers.

After that the following happened:

Richard (ADHO15) agreed with what I had to say. His so claimed number is an old space (town) set.

Susan (TPRUS) claims to be something I never knew existed.

Bristol (Peanuts) refuses to give us her number. Why? I don’t know!

After that it was announced that the numbers were for a building contest.

All three of these people strike me as odd.

Richard agreeing with me so easily, while the claim I made should never be a valid point to vote someone off. Not even on day one.

Susans set is just weird. Did she chicken out because her real set number was the number of an ‘evil’ looking/sounding set? How the heck are we supposed to use that set in the building contest? So just admit it. You changed your set number and now that action backfired on you!

Bristol refuses to share her set number. Again, why not share what you know. Afraid of getting lynched?

Out of these three Susans case strikes me as most odd. So I shall Vote: Susan (TinyPiesRUs)

Can you be specific about what Susan is claiming? I don't follow you at all.

I also am reluctant to jump on the Mary bandwagon for the time being.

It would really suck for the day to end before we get to the building contest as this event will most likely give us more insight and better enable us to place an educated vote.

I never participated in such an event before, building challenge that is, but it seems others have. Would those of you who have participate in such an event educate those of us who have not. What were the known precedents? How did it work? Someone said something about hell ... I dont like hell! Would the loser of said challenge die?!

Says the guy that can't even remember his own name. And neglected to read that he had a number.

It'd be easy for Babs to give us a number that fits a pattern with as many as we know now. If she doesn't want to reveal it now, I don't see why you're pressing for it.

Geez, man. Not all of us are stalking each other. You've talked bunches since I placed that vote. Thanks. No need to get all snippy.

Unvote: Jonathan (Hinckley)

It's ironic because I actually made those mistakes. It seems I've become the pop star who cried wolf...

I'll make sure to claim something other than bomb or mortician this time, though.

Honestly Jordan, we have no idea what a building contest is. That is a reason to guard our private info.

I went back and checked the link to the 9696 set and I'm very sorry to say that I'm an idiot. I saw "Body Forward" and thought that it meant it was a minifig piece. I've never heard of LEGO League. I was merely thinking that if a Thief was going to lie about his or her number, they would lie and give us a City set, not some random-megablocks set.

Stacy mentioned that we would get details on Fabuland activities. What gives? I want to get my furry on! By the way Stacy, earlier you seemed pretty confident that at least one Thief had lied about his or her number. Were you simply working off of a logical conclusion that one of the latecomers who claimed City sets could be lying or did you have physical evidence?

Honestly Jordan, we have no idea what a building contest is.

I bet it's a contest to see who can lift the heaviest buildings. I better go work out now to prepare. Anyone know if there's a gym on this boat?

How the numbers will relate to the contest, who knows, right?

I agree with Matthew. If this Fabuland thing is semi-mandatory, it would be nice to have details on it.

Any time.

It's called "crying Werewolf" or "pulling a Zepher".

I must be drinking a lot on this cruise. Everyone looks blurry.

I feel we may be reading too much into these numbers. Mary's passenger number (9696) seems to indicate that they don't correlate with lego sets. Any 4-digit number you can think of is bound to have a lego set that corresponds with it. While it is interesting that a lot of our numbers are linked to new recent sets, there are enough exceptions to the rule to suggest that this may just be a coincidence.

Let's test it: 5932

Hmmmm... 5932

How about 1026?

Then why did you link to it? I checked the page to see who claimed, and nobody did, so I don't know why you linked it. Could you please explain that deeper?

I think Jonathan was simply demonstrating that any random four-digit number can have a LEGO set attached.

For instance, off the top of my head, 2935. As far as I know, nobody has claimed this number, but a quick search of Brickset reveals...

Okay, it's a Duplo set, but you get the point.

Could you re-read what I said? :hmpf: Or are you only capable of reading blue text? If you're just skimming, I'm not repeating myself.

Thank you for not being lazy and incompetent.

Well, not being lazy anyway...

There are no particular "activities" related to this day. You can make your own and impress your friends!

Vote Count:

Mary / TheBoyWonder: 9 (def, Rufus, ADHO15, Capt.Redblade, TrumpetKing67, The Legonater, Captain Genero, Tamamono, Peanuts)

Bill / Capt. Redblade: 1 (Scubacarrot)

Susan / TinyPiesRUs: 1 (badboytje88)

Jordan / Tamamono: 1 (Hinckley)

With 24 players, a majority of 13 is needed.

Dude, I'm gonna step a little further away from you now. That diarrhea thing sounds nasty.

I just find it funny that Mister Bill over there is suddenly king of paying attention. But I guess remembering his own name gives him a leg up on Jordan.

"I'm looking at the schedule of events for future days, and it appears the numbers correspond with sets that the passengers will use for a building contest. Details on that will come later I assume." she said.

I was going over things in my head again and realized that she said passengers. What about the crew? I was all ready to do some heavy lifting.

I guess I had missed that at first. I had went back and realized what you had said before I had even read your response.

But I don't understand what made you ping, however. Forgive me if I'm just being stupid, but the wording did seem as if you were accusing somebody, IMHO. If you could explain your pinging a little slower for me, that would be helpful, I'm still a little tipsy from the wine earlier.

I currently have the week off, so my time online has skyrocketed. I am the first officer. It's sort of my job to know what's happening.
