matias bendtsen Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 i have opened one before, and it is quite hard, and you will not be able to close it again. Quote
pint14 Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Why i will not be able to close it again? Quote
matias bendtsen Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 when i finally got it opened with a flat screwdriver, the plastic was so destroyed, that it could not hold together properbly, and it is quite hard to get all the gears into place and hold them there while putting it together. Quote
z3_2drive Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 do you have the correct cable? if so, try putting the end that fits onto the motor at different angles (vertically/horizontally) because one of my motors doesnt work when you have it on a certain way, I'm guessing it has to do with polarity... allanp Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Can you hear the motor trying to move or is it just completely lifeless? I use these motors more often than any other and found them to be very reliable. The only problrms i've had have been caused by slight corrosion on the electrical contact. So make sure these are nice and clean. Quote
kieran Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I have had a few issues like this with various 9V system parts, what allanp says is most likely the cause, the 4 stud connections have a habit of getting dirty and then no power can get through. it ma be worth going the motor a sniff as well, if there is a smell of burning then you may have a burnt out motor. Even if the brushes were well worn you would expect the motor to try and turn a little Quote
pint14 Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 Problem solved! I opened the motor cleaned all the gears, putted it back together(plastic wasnt so much destroyed), bought new wire(8886), also i took the micro motor out to clean it after tinned new wire at the back of the motor and everything works perfectly! Sorry about bad english. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Well, that's excellent. And don't worry, I got the gist of it. Quote
