Khorne Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 "That's Reno, alright. I say we turn these crocodiles in teeth necklaces and facy croc leather shoes." Eric unsheathed his sword, ready for battle if that were to happen. Before he didn't anything, though, he let Nerwen talk. Perhaps she would be able to difuse the situation without a fight. But then again, where's the fun in that? Quote
Sandy Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 As you know in business, there are always competing parties. Tell us the deal you made with this man's brother and we may make you a better offer. "I businessman. I make offer: you give ten thousand gold, we give cargo." The tied-up man tries to shout something through the gag. "Ah eeh oh!" Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Guts intimidates the Werecroc: "I have a better idea, you give us the prisoner, and you will not die right now." As he spoke, Guts held up Lifestealer, slowly pointing it towards the Captain, before adding: "Por Favore." Quote
Chromeknight Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) "I businessman. I make offer: you give ten thousand gold, we give cargo." The tied-up man tries to shout something through the gag. "Ah eeh oh!" Nerwen laughed. Out loud. Ten thousand? Be serious! A gold coin a day is a good wage. A thousand will have you living in comfort for a year. Ten thousand would buy not only your cargo but your whole ship also. Not even one of the heads of the families would be worth that much. No. A single thousand would be a more reasonable price. Do consider it. My boys here are getting restless. Hearing the figure shout behind his gag, Nerwen nods. Oh, but where are my manners? Discussing the man like he is so much merchandise. I am sure he would have something to say about his own value. Let us hear from him. Ignoring the weregator's warning from before, knowing she was backed by two armed and edgy raiders, Nerwen pulled the gag off the prisoner. Edited March 6, 2013 by Chromeknight Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Guts added, still intimidating: "I don't see why we're still talking, these overgrown lizards don't even have half a shot, they are coldblooded, guess what my weapon is. Very. Cold." The raider said quietly to Nerwen: "I hope you are not serious about paying?" Quote

Chromeknight Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) If you are powerful enough to upset someone then presumably you can also use that power to make money. And make enough money to buy off anyone who has been sent to do you harm. In any case, whatever deal we strike with El Capitán, I am sure this man here will gladly pay.
