March 4, 201311 yr @ Theo van Vroenhoven: The easiest process would be to join Rebrickable and then load your 8421, 8265, and 8043 sets into the "My Sets" tab. Then, you could "Search" for the desired set/ MOC and then try to "Build" that set using your existing sets/pieces. Unfortuneatly, the 42009 set has not been released yet so it has not yet been loaded into Rebrickable's database or Bricklink's database. The exact parts needed won't be known until August 2013. The replicas are "good guesses" on the needed parts.

I even helped develop the 'Find Parts to Build' function.... Personally I like BrickStore better for subtracting large sets from each other, especially if you want to change colors first. The remainder can then easily be exported to BL. This is the way I found out what parts I had to pick/order to build an 'all red' 42000... Edited March 4, 201311 yr by Theo van Vroenhoven
