Lovely review, Masked Builder. After reading, I agree with you that this set is definitely more than meets the eye, and a lot bigger than I first thought. There are lots of useful parts it seems, which is always a plus.

It's interesting to note that this building is no longer standing, as well. If I'm not mistaken this is the first Architecture set to be based off a building no longer in existence. It's important to remember those, in addition to all the great architecture we have today.

Well, actually, the part of the structure depicted by this set (the central lobby wing) is still standing; it has just been relocated (or rather, disassembled and rebuilt in a new location). Frank Lloyd Wright's original Imperial Hotel was much bigger than this, with wings on either side, but was demolished and replaced with a high-rise hotel to make more efficient use of land.

Masked, thanks for a great review. Especially since you haven't been an architecture fan. It's pretty objective. I don't know this building- didn't know Wright designed it. But, I love the architecture series, and this looks like a good build. I'll probably get it.

Of the sets I own of the architecture series (all except 4, and bought directly from LEGO S@H Switzerland) all have always been in English, and no other languages.

I can't imagine that there are differences with the instructions depending on where you live in the world.
