March 2, 201312 yr Author How I wish we had something like this where I live. For the cars that were able to drift, what motor was used? Well, the floor we were racing on was very slippery to begin with. For the standard race I'd even disabled my rear wheel steering as it was too direct. As for the motors, I think the most powerful option is to use two Large Pf motors. I used one Large PF motor for each rear wheel, so I wouldn't have to deal with a differential. However, a single XL motor or two medium motors will also see you through. Is The trailer competition like the Mario Kart with the balloons? Pretty much, yeah. You need to relieve your competitors of their 2x4 bricks. That lame chassis car.. We ask people to make their cars look a bit nicer, but this was a young'un who had trouble enough getting the car to run, so we let it slide. As the floor was very slippery, the weight distribution of a car is very important. Too much weight on the driven wheels means it won't steer, and too much weight on the steering wheels means it's not going anywhere. Ironically enough, a chassis with some more decoration on it would've fixed most of these weight issues. Are there more pictures about each car? These are the ones I could find. Many ACC vehicles are built on my standard chassis: Koffiemoc: http://www.flickr.com/photos/koffiemoc/sets/72157632809927086/with/8489787139/ Griffon: http://www.flickr.com/photos/peterhooghiemster/sets/72157632841186468/ Willie Wortel / Trijntje: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=523190 Chrisvdb: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=391046 There are also some pictures in Barman's photostream: http://www.flickr.co...5413767/?page=3 And I almost forgot this shot of my own rat rod: Edited March 2, 201312 yr by mahjqa
March 2, 201312 yr It is a nice idea I will show in my community to see if we can organize something similar but we don´t have so many technic fans .
March 2, 201312 yr With every meeting whe change the contest, this time wash the contest Lowriders and next meeting is the challenge differend and are al ways fun to see
March 2, 201312 yr Author It is a nice idea I will show in my community to see if we can organize something similar but we don´t have so many technic fans. Just give it a shot. Our first couple of races we only had a few racers. However, as soon as others see how much fun it is the numbers grow; our last race had 18 competitors.
March 2, 201312 yr Having fun with the technic, teach that is fun and for the same price you promote it and make more people get into which is what we need in Spain, is much more than a good idea , and you can also change the style of the vehicles every time for variety, awesome  .
March 2, 201312 yr The step-by-step Building Instructions for Mahjqa's "Intermediate Power Functions Chassis" (which he showed in a slideshow above) can be found in his Flickr photoset. I built one, and it's a great platform for Lego Technic Allround Car Competition vehicles! All of his Building Instruction images have been compiled into a single PDF document that you can download via SkyDrive here. Edited March 2, 201312 yr by DLuders
March 2, 201312 yr do you have a pair of the new f1 hubs(rear) mahjqa? it seems like the only part that fits the missing space in the ldd shot... EDIT: never mind I saw the comments about it on flickr... Edited March 2, 201312 yr by z3_2drive
March 3, 201312 yr That looks like a lot of fun! It's great to see so many talented Technic builders get together in one place. There were some really nice cars there as well, and I really liked the cars built by Jurgen, Mahj, jojotje, and Dirk Klijn. I'd like to see some better pictures of these models. Great video too!
