Is LDD allowed

Well reviewing the rules it doesn't say they aren't allowed. But I don't think they are. LegoCityMann will have to clarify this for you. But feel free to post some pictures in the mean time.

My opinion is LDD is handy for designing, but I feel this is a building contest and LDD is cheating a little because you can just pick and choose parts plus a huge colour pallet....too much of an advantage. (in saying that.....bowser hose placement in LDD is very hard.....I've tried it.

We'll let 'LCM' decide.

Agreed that LDD should be for design only...but brick built should be the final entry. And to be honest I will vote for brick built over LDD every time!

As would I.

How's everyone getting along with their designs ? :classic:

As this is my first real entry to a building contest on here, I think I'm going to stay true to my original design ethos and follow how I approached my Police Station MOD (btw...nearly polished that one off.) I love 'Classic Town' and the new modulars so I'll be going down a similar route to yourself LT and create a more detailed build based on the 'Classic' scale.

This contest is a great idea!!! I think I'm gonna take part if I find enough time this week! I'll be going with octan (I don't have any bp or shell bricks). Or, why not a station brand we have here in France (elf or total...). I could try some custom stickers as they are allowed!

Because you can't help yourself LT... your generosity knows no bounds!!

I believe that will be the basis of what Im going to design but on a Classic 32x32 garage baseplate that I found last night

Never MOC'd a petrol station before so I've just spent a couple of hours trying a few ideas to see if I can come up with an entry and I think I can!! Although my service station will have a bit of an unusual twist....

Will make it this weekend's job!

Good luck to everyone who enters...

...Still....how many people are entering the contest ?

I might... if I can find a way to tie it into an Alien Landscape or make it float... (just kidding, though I will try to enter!)

Funny you should say that.... I said mine was going to have an unusual twist to it!!!

A gas station for boats? Of were you really thinking about a floating gas station? :look: Well, you can take it, I don't really plan on making one float...

Yep, a petrol station for boats... My version will be built on stilts but there are plenty of floating ones around that are just like land based ones... with petrol pumps and a small shop for parts/snacks etc!! ( just Google "floating petrol station")

Very interesting concept and I can't wait to see it in bricks. One question though, where are the big fuel storage tanks....? or do they just tap into the closest Oil Platform
