Ah, just like the Octan gas station included in a 90's marina set.....pumps and engine repair workshop right on the pier.

I'll be interested in seeing that.....oh, I better plan on that addition.....don't want to give away any ground !

I might as well post a picture of my gas station that is not eligable for the contest...

Looking good Electricsteam. Nice and big. Thinking of doing up a big one after this little contest myself. Oh no! could that be the next contest/war? no size limits.....!

Lookout for the vacuum in that room I can see heaps of little hidden treasures.

Interesting idea 'greg3', I can see the basis of the end result.....but yeah, a lot more work to be done.....hard to see the pumps - I suggest hunting down images of the pumps on their own so you can nail the design.

Wow, there are already some great designs, so this will be a tough contest. Luckily there is still enough time, since I am quite struggling with some aspects.

This is what I have done so far, there is the shape, the colour design and most of the dimensions (and the car which was not that difficult  ), but still a lot to do, as you may see ... Keep it up guys!

Almost finished :)

shell_service_prev1.jpg

It needs some stickers, but it's almost completed.

BTW, it's the first real modular I've done, with open roof and furnished interiors :)

(don't expect to see this again for a loooong time :) )

Nice so far 'ER0L', though maybe some custom period stickers might help......some model railway shops might have them.

Brick On Battle On !

Thanks LT! Well, I rather try to reduce any custom stuff to a minimum, and since there are a lot of printed Shell bricks and tiles I think I won't need any custom stickerwork. It's obvious that you can hardly avoid them if you choose a corporation withouth this advantage, so that's okay for me.

Another Shell station, nice! This looks really great SalvoBrick. I love the shaping of the roof, and your pumps are excellent. Keep it up!

yes I know its not a word)

This here is my main problem.

What? Is this a question, or statement? It doesn't make sense... May be re-edit and maybe keep the font size easier to read? Had to squint :classic:

This is my main problem was refering to the picture... I need to make a roof with a platform going through the middle to have for the supports to connect from the are where the GasPumps will be.

Finished! :)

shell_service_02.jpg

As I've said before, it's my first modular with complete interiors. I did it using only spare parts, so I'm not sure I will add on my diorama.

Some details could have been better, but I've used only a limited palette of bricks. Anyway:

The shop

I've had a lot of fun doing this small Shell station :) hope you like it!

Looks good Salvobrick, You did well using only your left overs and a half size base plate. Just check the rules, but I think you need to start a new topic with your masterpiece then post a link here. Also you need 3 minifigs plus your cool looking van.

I think I have what you're saying. You'll have to put a layer of plates, separating the steep slope of the roof, attaching the roof to which ever side you want it to protrude out. This is the only way I can think of, since there are no plates with sloped edges. It will interrupt the the seamless slope of the roof a little. So by the picture, imagine those two, horizontal, black lines matching with the rest of the black bar (representing the roof you want installed).
