Minifig Lecturer Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Im making a port and I dont have many ideas so please give me some ideas thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *y* *y* If you have any railway track you can have a train yard on the land side of the port. The wagons with their cargo would look good. I think the important thing is for your port to be busy with the loading and unloading of cargo and crates. You could also use tracks to allow the port crane to move along as in the official LEGO port sets of the 1990s. You could make some small canals where ships can harbour for delivering goods. A few warehouses would look pretty good too. On the port quayside itself you could have some tanks for oil and pipes that allow the refueling of your ships. You could also make a small oil refinery as these are usually located beside major city ports. If your port will have fishing trawlers you could make a cannery/factory building beside the port. If you have any of the LEGO pieces that are used to hold two LEGO lights together (when they are brand new and before they are separated) these can be used as fish. Likewise the shiney gold LEGO piece that holds 4 pirate coins together can be used for canned fish. Quote

oo7 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I think Prof. Flitwick and Mr. Asuka wanted to see some actual photographs, those tiny LDD things just don't do the job. :-/ Are you planning to make the whole marina with these LDD 'sets' or do you have some tangible models from bicks of your own, prexisting collection that you will integrate into your LDD models later? The reason why i haven't got any "real" pics is simply because i haven't got round to buying the sets yet. And ye i have got some pics of it so far but A) the only camera ive got is a webcam (poor quality picture) B) I don't know how to put pics onto brickshelf. I made 2 boats yesturday and they are so cool Quote

Do take a picture just press Print Screen on your keyboard (it is usually one of the buttons on the top-right of the keyboard). Then open MS Paint and press Ctrl + V (paste). Edit as necessary and upload to brickshelf. Then click on the uploaded pic in brickshelf until you get its http:// address add copy this in to eurobricks. Quote
