Haha No thanks ES! I already have my design anyway. Its a 0-4-4 Forney built for the Long Island RR sometime around 1892. Acquired154wt.jpg

Though lacking any more research on the LIRR's use of these, I may make decals for the New York Elevated.

Still deciding.

I reckon I should try and find my first train MOC mad of left over parts from my 10183 Hobby Train! Really wish I photographed it before burying it in storage :wall::classic:

Edit: Found it! Revising the front and replacing some parts to color match. The original was built before I started buying off Brick Link :classic:

I finally got around to taking a few photos. They are just a couple quick shots for this contest and are sub-par of my sub-par camera skills. I call this MOC the Red Jacket Diesel Locomotive and a Passenger Wagon to go with my 10183 Hobby Train. Both are made of leftover parts from 10183. The engine is 85% comprised and the wagon 99%. Both were built during the summer of 2011. Once I located them, I decided to rebuild part of the diesel since my part inventory now had the correct colored pieces. I am pretty pleased with it's turn out. Neither are based on any specific engine or wagon. I took a little inspiration from the Super Chief, for the front, wanting something a little more streamlined. If anyone can point me to an actual engine like this, if it even exists, I'd be interested to see.

Next is the passenger wagon for the Hobby Train. It's a combo passenger/cargo wagon, also not based on anything specific. Just your run of the mill car.

And both together:

Thanks for looking! :classic:

I've absolutely loved the wacky challenge, it really encouraged me to build stuff, not that's a problem :)

The big question is WHAT ARE WE DOING NEXT.....

How about whomever wins chooses the next topic?

It just looks..Idk..Its steam and I love steam, but.. it doesnt look it..My heart is confused. Haha. Very nice. Good luck in the contest.

Aww, that's what I love about it!

I love the combination of old and new, whether it's a steam loco with a modern shell or a spacecraft with art-deco styling.

Can we have designated judges next time?

why, this system is as long as I know this site ( at least 2 years (I didn't register immediately)) used for almost every contest.
