Cutcobra Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 "Ha! I'm not tir--" Heckz fell into his bedroll and started resting. Quote
Kintobor Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 OOC: No resting! You wouldn't want the spooks to get a hold of you while you rest, would you? Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 "I can stand watch while the three of you rest your eyes. I'll alert you if I see any signs of trouble. Unless you care to head for the Mausoleum now" Quote
PsyKater Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 "If you can stand guard, Jeaux, I'd still like to rest (come on QM ). If not, I think we should go to the Mausoleum." "As this area is already save, I don't see where any danger could come from." Quote
Cutcobra Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Heckz woke up. " I had a dream that told me the spooks could get me if I were resting. What were you two talking about?" Quote
Emjajoas Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Still slightly uncomfortable with the idea of rest, Em decides to curl up in his bedroll regardless. Quote
Kintobor Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) There's a loud crack of lightning as rain begins to pour on the party. It appears there won't be any resting. Edited March 27, 2013 by Kintobor Quote
Cutcobra Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 "Hmm, this rain may be useful in future battles..." Quote
PsyKater Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 "Let's move to the Mausoleum then. This rain is getting harder and harder. Perhaps we'll find a place to rest there. And finally something to eat..." Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 "I get the feeling some supernatural force or higher power is telling us we should move on. I'm not one who puts much faith in the idea of gods guiding the destinies of man, but when the wind is blowing, it is often easier to go with it than fight it out." Jeaux followed the party's leader to the next stop on their journey. Quote
LTPro Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 "Don't leave me here." Zoltan follows the party leader. Quote

The bride's face lights up. She smiles. "Thank you. I'm Violet. Please find my fiancee." And with that, the party heads for the mausoleum, trudging through the rain and the mud. THE EUBRIC CEMETERY 1. The Old Well COMPLETE! A very ominous noise has been emitting from The Old Well, often asking passersby cryptic riddles. Solve its riddle and defeat whatever’s living down there. If the heroes fail the riddle, the area will be lost. 2. The Unmarked Mausoleum Wealthy individuals get buried in this maze of coffins. Some ominous beings have been spotted inside, and need to be removed from the premise. If the party comes to the entrance of the Mausoleum twice before finding the spooks, the mausoleum will be lost. 3. The Lover’s Grove COMPLETE! The heroes must find where the awful racket is coming from in the trees. Shaking a tree will cause the individual causing the noise to jump to another tree, causing the bats in the one he was in to fly off. If four of the six trees are disturbed, the area will become infested with bats, and will be lost. 4. The Hero’s Monument COMPLETE! A trio of nasty spooks have been hanging around the Hero’s Monument. See what they want and deal with them properly. 5. Tombstone Row A group of skittish ghosts have infested this row of tombstones. Every time the party investigates a tombstone, the ghosts move to a new tombstone, and desecrate the one they were hiding in. Out of the 12 tombstones, if 6 are desecrated, the area is lost. Mr. Timmin's Shack Purchase items and take a breather here. The party manages to make their way towards the Unmarked Mausoleum. As they walk along the tombstones, they can hear Scary, Jerry and Thomas Jefferson debating again, even in the rain. The party finds the Unmarked Mausoleum without much trouble. To their surprise, the entrance has been bashed in. An unlit torch looks over a steep staircase heading into the mausoleum. Amma grabs the torch, lights it with a match, and leads her party into the darkness... The party reaches the bottom of the staircase, the entire mausoleum eerily quiet The torchs have been blown out, and the party soon realizes the path splits left and right. Which way will the party go? Remember, you can only return to the entrance twice before whatever is down here kicks you out. Good luck! Quote
Cutcobra Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Heckz made a grin, showing what should be white teeth but are yellowed teeth."It seems this is one of those times where I need my rhymes. If we don't get in another fight, I really think we should go right. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) "I guess it would be good to start creating a map so we don't wind up getting lost in here. As for the initial direction to head, I'm good either way." Jeaux reaches into his briefcase and retrieves a piece of parchment and a quill. He makes a couple of small marks on the paper to denote the party's current location. There was no ink on the end of the quill, but dark marks appear in any case. Almost as if the ink was being fed to the paper from the mechanoid himself. "The lines indicate walls, the arrow indicates our current position." _ ^ Edited March 28, 2013 by joeshmoe554 Quote
