Cutcobra Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 "Hi Scary! Hi Jerry! Hi Thomas Jefferson!" Where have I heard that name before? "So, it seems you are having a conversation about books?" Quote
Kintobor Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 The three skeletons go into an uproar. "Books?! HA! That's a first! No my good man, we're talking about Bilbert Wigglepike, famous playwright, adventurer and actor! As of right now, our debate is about which one of his plays was the best overall." "It was "Merchant of Eubric"." "Jerry, I know this is your grave, but can you please not try to persuade this young man! If anything we should let him discover Bigglepike for himself." "It's still the best one though." Quote
Cutcobra Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) "Oh, I know who Bilbert Wigglepike is! Unlucky me, I didn't see any of his plays " Unlucky, what do you mean unlucky? "I'l see him some time after this. I came here to get rid of bad lads from the cementery. Have you seen any bad fellas around here?" Edited March 13, 2013 by Eric Su Quote
Kintobor Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 "I came here to get rid of bad lads from the cementery. Have you seen any bad fellas around here?" The three skeletons converse with each other in a low mumble. After a few seconds, Thomas Jefferson addresses the heroes. "Yes, around the Old Well, the Unmarked Mausoleum-" "Thomas, I think they know that already." "Oh." "So perhaps you'd like to tell us where you're heading first? We can point you in the right direction!" Quote
Cutcobra Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 "Oh, I'd REALLY like to tell you were we are heading first but first I have to address that dwarf over there that doesn't seem to be making up her decision. In the meantime, can you tell me more about Bilbert? And which play do you recommend me?" Quote
PsyKater Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 "Drunk skeletons, fine." Amma sighs. "What are you doing here?" Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 "I was always partial to Bric'beth, though I sadly have never had the opportunity to see it performed live. As much as I would love to sit here and discuss the theater with you, we have been hired for a job and one must have their priorities. Have you interacted with any of the hostile creatures or spirits in this graveyard. Could you perhaps give us some information to help us stop them and protect for the more distinguished residents like yourself?" Quote
PsyKater Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) "I think we should head to the Old Well first. Is it in this direction?" Amma asks, pointing to a random direction. In her hands is the map. Upside down. Edited March 13, 2013 by PsyKater Quote
Kintobor Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) "In the meantime, can you tell me more about Bilbert? And which play do you recommend me?" "Well for starters, he's still alive." "Jerry, please. Honestly, I know about as much as you. He's known for his well written plays that some say rival the great William Stirlance." "Stirlance was second rate to begin with." "Are you mad! His work was wonderful!" "Don't mind those two, Jefferson's had enough of balcony scenes. Anyways, if you want a good starter Wigglepike play, to get an idea of his style, I'd read "The Pirates of Eubric", a comedic tale of duty, young love, and of course, pirates." "Drunk skeletons, fine." Amma sighs. "What are you doing here?" "Uh, we were buried here." The other two laughed. "Most nights we hang around Jerry's place and talk about stuff." "You like my grave? I'm thinking about adding a few roses!" "I was always partial to Bric'beth, though I sadly have never had the opportunity to see it performed live. As much as I would love to sit here and discuss the theater with you, we have been hired for a job and one must have their priorities. Have you interacted with any of the hostile creatures or spirits in this graveyard. Could you perhaps give us some information to help us stop them and protect for the more distinguished residents like yourself?" "Bric'beth, what a classic! It's always great to talk to other theater lovers. I hope one day you get the opportunity see it live my friend, it's very stirring. As for the hostile ghosts, Thomas's gravestone was smashed in two." "I'm really gonna miss that tombstone. I was buried underneath it for almost 100 years." "It's the same with the others. I heard Conrad, a good friend of mine, was ripped in half by a group of rowdy ghouls. However, Conrad's a skeleton, so natural he just put himself back together. That still doesn't make it awful! A lot of the residents have kept to their coffins since then. I think we're the only three out and about now." "What about Aldus and Violet?" "Jerry, not... wait, have any of you two seen those two?" The two skeletons shake their heads in denial. "Aldus and Violet are both residents here. They were both buried here about two years ago, and had a chance meeting a few months back. Since then they've fallen madly in love. Where they are now though, I don't know. As for helpful info, here's a good tip, not all the enemies in the cemetery are undead. A whole bunch of other creepy crawlies moved in around the same time the ghosts did." "I think we should head to the Old Well first. Is it in this direction?" Amma asks, pointing to a random direction. In her hands is the map. Upside down. Jerry turns it around for Amma, and points to the Old Well, chuckling at the dwarfs mistake. "It's right here! If that's where you wish to go, you better be prepared. Take it from an actor, you should say what you want in a bold, dynamic voice! Come back when your done, I'll show you the rest of my grave!" EDIT: Sorry, PsyKater, didn't see your edit! THE OLD WELL Near the back of the cemetery, the party finds the old, derelict well. There are only a few tombstone's around the area, as well as a few trees, their leaves rustling in the wind. The strange noise the party has heard so much about is nowhere to be heard. Jeaux looks down the well, curious who might be speaking. "Are you telling me, the others cannot hear you?", Jeaux asks the mysterious voice. He then turns to the party's leader to pass on the message from the being in the well, "It says we must solve its riddle before it will reveal itself. There are six key colors, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, and Orange. Using these six colors, we must break its four color code. It will inform us when we have a color in the right place and the right location, and when we have a right color in the wrong location. We only get 12 attempts to guess the correct combination, or it will not reveal itself to us. I would recommend the Party Leader be the only one to proclaim a color sequence, in order to prevent us from wasting guesses" OOC: I would assume a guess is only valid if it is in bold? Jeaux thought for a moment then commented to Stigveladi, "I have a feeling the colors Yellow, Green, Red, and Pink might be a good place to start." Quote
