Amma attempts to hit the Dire Rat A but is in turn bitten by it. Jeaux fires three arrows off into the fray, successfully wounding many enemies. Em successfully attacks the Illuminating Widow B, pinning it down. Heckz manages to cast a powerful ice spell from the back row at the Illuminating Widow A, turning it into a spider-cicle. PsyKater Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) It's just luck... Except for Amma Just a few things: Jeaux's Shield should have done 10 Damage against the three enemies. (Power = 10) Em's Critical Hit should have done 15 Damage ("WP: 6 Lvl: 3; 2x6+3=15) Enemies health should therefore be at 12,12,0,2,14. And could you add the max Health and max Ether to Heckz' stats, please? Should both be "/5" Edited March 15, 2013 by PsyKater Quote

PsyKater Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) OOC No problem! One more thing: Amma was in backrow, she should only gain 2 damage from the Dire Rat B. Amma tries casting a spell, but it does not work. Irritated she looks at the gem in her hand, just before she is hit by the Dire Rat B. She tries not to think about her missing luck and yells new orders: "Well done guys! See? If we come up as a team, we will win this battle in no time. Thanks for taking over the Dire Rat B, Jeaux! Heckz, you made a very good spell! Do you dare to do the same to Dire Rat A? You go first, but stay in the back! Jeaux, stay on Dire Rat B! Zoltan, render assistance! Em, you can stay on the Invisible Widow B! I will take care of the angry spider" Battle Order: > Heckz - Dire Rat A (Ice Spell) > Em - Invisible Widow B (Bow) > Amma - Angry Arachnid (Ice Spell) > Jeaux - Dire Rat B (Eminus) Zoltan - Dire Rat B (Longsword) Amma wonders where her leader spirit came from. joeshmoe554 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 OOC: I think ether is not consumed on a damage roll, so Amma's ether should be at 11. Though I could be wrong on that. Dire Rat (B)'s health should be 12 after the triple shot reduced it by 10. Jeaux raised Eminus bringing another arrow to bear on his prey. He released his grip on the string to let the arrow fly at Dire Rat (B) from the rear of the battle. These vermin would not be long for this world. Quote

PsyKater Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) I hate to point it out, but backrow damage is rounded up. So Amma suffers 3 damage, Em 2 damage. This should put Amma at 7 HP and Em at 6 HP (not 1). Others than that, I could find no mistakes "Aarrgh" Amma gets thrown back by another attack. She sees that her party members also get hurt. There had been good chances to reduce the size of the enemies parties to one remaining foe, but things went not so good. Perhaps she was the wrong person to lead a party? With such a bad luck, they could win nothing! But then she remembers that all party members except have been very successful in the first round. Now was not the time to give up! "Come on, boys! Prepare for the next round! We will do exactly the same, except for Zoltan. Please assist me with the Angry Arachnid! I want to keep the possibility of the Healing Special low. I will go first!" Amma prepares to cast her first successful Ice Spell at Angry Arachnid from the backrow. Battle Order (Round 3): See updated Battle Order. Edited March 16, 2013 by PsyKater Quote

joeshmoe554 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) "Might I suggest Zoltan fight from the back row and we leave one of the Dire Rats alone this round? His shield should be able to protect him from any damage. I think we should also see how much damage we can deal before confronting the rats again." Jeaux unleashed another arrow from Eminus at Dire Rat B from the back row. OOC: If Zoltan is in the back row he will take 0 damage from enemies level 4 and below (4/2 - 2SP) = 0. That way we reduce the odds of healing by a bit more. Also if we leave any attacks on the dire rats till the end of the battle order, then we may have a greater chance of dispatching the other foes before the rats have a chance to heal them. Also Amma, Jeaux, Em, or Heckz could kill both rats with a shield roll while targetting one of the other foes. Edited March 16, 2013 by joeshmoe554 Quote
PsyKater Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) "Good idea, Jeaux. But maybe Zoltan can even stay in the front row, he could take it up with counter attacks for four rounds. On the other hand, there is no enemy that would require to be hit by Zoltan." Amma was rather thinking loud than speaking to Jeaux. "Zoltan, retreat to the back row while attacking the Angry Arachnid. Heckz, please switch on the Invisible Widow B!" Updated Battle Order Round 3 > Zoltan - Angry Arachnid (Longsword) > Amma - Angry Arachnid (Ice Spell) > Heckz - Illuminating Widow B (Ice Spell) > Em - Illuminating Widow B (Bow) > Jeaux - Dire Rat B (Eminus) "Jeaux, please make sure you attack Dire Rat B! A very ominous noise has been emitting from The Old Well, often asking passersby cryptic riddles. Solve its riddle and defeat whatever’s living down there. If the heroes fail the riddle, the area will be lost. 2. The Unmarked Mausoleum Wealthy individuals get buried in this maze of coffins. Some ominous beings have been spotted inside, and need to be removed from the premise. If the party comes to the entrance of the Mausoleum twice before finding the spooks, the mausoleum will be lost. 3. The Lover’s Grove The heroes must find where the awful racket is coming from in the trees. Shaking a tree will cause the individual causing the noise to jump to another tree, causing the bats in the one he was in to fly off. If four of the six trees are disturbed, the area will become infested with bats, and will be lost. 4. The Hero’s Monument A trio of nasty spooks have been hanging around the Hero’s Monument. See what they want and deal with them properly. 5. Tombstone Row A group of skittish ghosts have infested this row of tombstones. PsyKater Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) Finally her Ice Spell worked! Smashing the big Angry Arachnid under her feet was a great feeling. She had always been hating vermin, that's why she was so keen in Ice elemental magic. "That's what I was talking about, boys!" Amma feels a strong power in her. Her leadership was successful, they had beaten their enemies in no time. Sure without her great party, it would have been a great difference, but still... Amma feels like being in the right place. "You have all been very brave! We are a good team." Amma wonders again about her words. "Seeing that our new members are very low on consumables, I will give the loot to you first. Zoltan and Heckz, you both have been very brave in your first battle! You were fighting in front or at first, dealing great damage and protecting the party. Zoltan, take this Remedy to your inventory. Heckz, you can have both the Potion and the Tonic." She turns around to Jeaux and Em. "This battle would have been very much harder without the help of you archers. Jeaux, you helped planning the strategy and you have proved yourself as a leader of the coming generation. I will try to make sure that we all benefit from the loot in this quest equally. I expect from anyone to share their consumables in our battles anyways. This is what a represents a winning team. Let's move on now!" On their way to Jerry's grave, she thinks about the song, the Dire Rat has sung. 'For there are no cats in Eubric.' Disgusting song. She reaches with her hand in her bag and feels the cat statuette. "If only Grettir would have been here. He would have taught those vermins manners.", she says loud to herself. In this moment a blotched red cat can be seen behind some trees. But before Amma even realizes her, it disappears. Arriving at Jerry's grave, Amma picks up the last words spoken by the skeletons. "Are you talking about cheese? Do you have any? I am starving!" Battle 1 Loot Distribution Summary Heckz: 1x Potion, 1x Tonic Zoltan: 1x Remedy Edited March 17, 2013 by PsyKater Quote
