thanks guys... as im doing more of these, im finding it challenging to keep each skin unique... with its own iconography and feel/mood.

i think the first step of that was to keep this skin's colors unique to space (so no green or tan like history, or blue or brown like pirates, and no concrete gray or blue like town)... so, i felt purple/gray was an appropriate space color for some reason (i actually can't think of a specific reason it feels right, but it just does :-D ).

my personal favorite thing about this skin is how the forum topper (purple-y planet surface) matches the planet in the banner.... it really gives you a feeling that you see the "alien" planet far away, yet the surface is closer than you think >:-) :-D i don't know, maybe its just me :-$

anyway the figs were tough. this forum is called "Space and Mecha" so i wanted to incorporate figures that represent both "Space" and "Mecha". i thought space representation was easy with traditional space figures, and mecha could be represented with by the flagship theme, exo-force. however, those two themes don't exist in the same world (at least as LEGO has envisioned these themes). so, i thought an appropriate "story" for the banner would show the traditional space guys reacting of off the newer EX guy. like he was a shock to them in their "classic" LEGO world :-D

if anyone finds any technical glitches, just contact me... though, i think i covered all my bases ;-)

My only gripe is: This is the Space and Mecha forum.

One Hikaru mini-fig doesn't really do the mecha activity on these boards justice. But that's just me..
