I know you meant it as a joke, Li'l KDM. And I'm pretty sure Hinckley did, too (though I shouldn't assume anything. megablocks out of U and me and all that).

In the mean time, I'm going to hold on to my mayoral vote for a bit longer to see if someone who really wants it steps forward. And then I'll decide if I trust that person or not.

I'm not sure how much of a factor being mayor was in my death last game, but I'm not afraid of it this game. It may not mean much, or indeed a tie never come up, but that doesn't mean we should just throw the office of Mayor at just anyone.

If others are too scared to be mayor, I'd be willing to try my hand at it again. I'm proud to serve America even if it means putting my life on the line. For Truth, Justice, and the American Way!!!

Though, if elected this time, I wouldn't say no to a bulletproof mayoral sash...

Well, at least we have a candidate now. I myself don't set value on being mayor, and I'm happy to defer to you.

It's unlikely the mayor will ever have to return a verdict, so I don't think the scum would actually make killing him top priority.

Bah, that Li'l Big Cam. He knows he owed me a quarter, and he thinks his megablocks blowing up is gonna get him out of it. :hmpf_bad:

I really don't care all that much who's mayor, so I don't have a problem giving Li'l CM another shot at it.

Isn't it recess time yet? I'm getting hungry, and for the nth time, I have an ice cream yet again for snack. I hate ice cream, it's cold and boring, not much excitement. Oh well, not much I can do about it...

What? Everybody loves ice cream! I'll trade you the ice cream for my boring sandwich if you want

Now, who to vote for for mayor... I can see it being a dangerous position in some ways, as being the mayor will attract attention, like being a likely target for conversion and so on. But I'm not sure the mayor is more likely to be killed than anyone else.

Friday is Sloppy Joe day...

With our numbers, I can't imagine a Mayor actually performing his duty this early. At the current juncture, we are basically just elevating someone as a target. :sceptic:

In EB I, Cornelius Murdock was the first mayor, and was immediately scumkilled (or was it the Vig?) that night. Hinckley was voted the next mayor, and then immediately lynched that day. I think the third mayor actually survived for a few days, but after the first two, noone was really stepping up for the position.

This has probably been answered, but he was scum killed. The vig was my daddy who never came back from his vacation. :cry_sad:

Sorry I'm late, guys, I was filming my own Harlem Shake video!

As for this whole mayor deal, we really need to wait and see who has the strongest townie vibe to be our mayor. The role may have a negative connotation with death, and jokingly throwing votes around certainly isn't going to help with finding a suitable mayor.

Sorry about the "this has been answered", I was reading the first page still. I'm soooo excited for recess!!! I'm gonna swing, then I'm gonna slide, then I'm going to stalk Li'l Pandora....... (Continues to excitedly list several recess activities) Oh, and I'm gonna play tag! Does anybody like my hat? My daddy said it's quirky, and so much more smexier than that meanie Adam's hat. IT'S SO FLUFFFFFFYYYY!!!! Who wants to feel my hat?:tongue:

As for the mayor (again), it seems interesting that Li'l Cornelius wants to be mayor again, even after he died last time. It seems he is more town due to his fearlessness about being mayor, but I'm not 100% convinced that anybody needs to be the mayor yet.

My my, that was one explosive game of Battleshits Lil Big Cam must have participated in...

Annnd we have to vote for a mayor, once again. Lil Kieldaman seems decent, but I am going to see what everyone else said first.

Nevermind, after reading everything I don't think Lil Kieldaman should be mayor, in fact I don't think anyone should. The rules don't say that there is a penalty for not voting for mayor, right? Unless I missed something.

I was going to suggest we could all vote for ourselves, which would piss Mr. def off I'm sure, but that couldn't work now. :sceptic:

Mayor isn't a necessary role at the moment, and given the last game, might just be suicide. Ugh... :hmpf_bad:

The same sort of role was present in Bloodbrick I. In case of a tie, the first to receive the highest vote gets the honor. If no one votes, def chooses a random player.

There doesn't seem to be a penalty, but two of us have already voted, which means, if no-one else votes, Li'l Kovacs will be mayor. But may I ask why you think that we will profit if there is no mayor?

Posted

Well, this beaver Boy Scout has no inclinations toward anybody for mayor. No real opposition toward Kovacs being mayor, though it has been leaned that mayors don't have a long life expectancy  otherwise I'd put myself for vote, since I know I'm good, scout's honour :classic: !

Boing!

Well this is fun.

Except for exploding megablocks.

Is it too early to be reading roles out of attitudes to being mayor?

Anyway.

Lil' Trumpetking, why does the mayor have to be appearing townie on day one? It's not like the office comes with a bulletproof sash. If anything it gives more information away than ought be.

Treat mayor voting as a test-lynch. Day one its best to pick someone random, then there's stuff to analyze in the next vote.

Oh my you- er- we Earthlings sure do talk a lot! Hi all, sorry, I was just checking my own totally human @ss to make sure that it wasn't about to explode!

So, about mayor. I am of a like mind as some of you Earthlings.... some of my fellow Earthings... in that the mayor vote the first day is kind of a shot in the dark, much like any vote on the first day. I'll save my vote for mayor just in case I see a real need to use it later, but right now I'm inclined to vote for Lil' Kiel, because while we all know it's a very dangerous position, he seems to think it's not. So, let's let him test it out! :sweet:

It's also unfortunate that we lose the irony of Lil' Big Cam so early in the school day. :cry_sad: Lil' Big. So sad.

Indeed. Nobody appreciates irony more than li'l yours truly.

I don't think we should sit idle on this. Mayor may be a hazardous role, but if we don't pick one then Teacher may very well do so for us, and I don't think any of us fancies being the poor schmuck on whose back he essentially paints a big red target. If someone is brave enough to volunteer for a job nobody wants to do, knowing that it may result in an unfortunate and incurable case of death, then I will encourage him. I am not brave enough to volunteer for such a job, but I respect the man who does, and you should too.

I must admit it takes a lot of balls for Li'l Cornelius to step up to the plate and volunteer as mayor, and while that doesn't guarantee that he's 100% town, it speaks volumes of his intentions, noble if he's indeed town, and stupidly bold if he's scum as I don't see why a scummo would want to put the spotlight on them this early and be subject to scrutiny (a.k.a. investigation/recruit, potential kill target).

I have a suggestion to somehow remove the fears of holding the mayoral position at least for today: how about the town doctor protect the mayor and the town mason recruit/investigate him tonight? That way, we could 100% verify if CM is indeed town, if he is then we'll have a trusted townie from this early who could lead and rally the town. With the town doctor protecting him, then we remove the possibility of him getting scum killed (barring any miraculous block on the doctor on the scum side). Besides, this is Day 1/Night 1, the town doctor/mason/investigator would have have better target in the mayor compared to randomly picking someone else out of the blue, right?

The only loopholes I see with this one is how the town mason/investigator would publicize the night action results. We need another trusted and brave townie to be the spokesperson (much like a legendary townie Hinckley in the epic books I've read). Also, false investigation/recruitment results by the scum would also be a hindrance.

Like I said, I'm very much willing to, just like Li'l Murdock. :sweet: I'm also open for verification/investigation if needed, I don't fear it, only those coward scum dimwits do. Whether it'll be me or Li'l CM or any other Li'l Kid here, it would be of the best interest of the town to protect and investigate/recruit the mayor tonight like I suggested above (unless by any major miracle that the town doctor finds/verifies/trusts the town mason today then that would be a better course of action night action-wise).

I'll Mayor: Li'l CorneliusMurdock. I don't think a scum would be so bold as to volunteer for the scrutiny the role entails, but I don't think it's important enough a role to matter, to be honest. Maybe when things get closer to even, later on it'll matter that the person breaking the ties is on our side, but for the time being, anyone who wants it can have it. Either way it'll provide us with Action results and behaviors to analyze.

And this gives the recruiter or mason block a great target and also gives the killers a great target for night two. Perhaps we shouldn't make such public plans with two teams working against us.

I think this makes sense. There are some potential risks, but it would give us some insight into who we can trust. And that is valuable insight to have on Day One.

I'm not gonna sit here and wait for the scum to get me. I'm an AMERICAN. If they wanna take me on, bring it, Scummos. Let's dance.

A wise man once said, "You have nothing to fear but your megablocks exploding". I truly believe that.

That plan would only doom the Mayor to being tempted to the ~dark side~ by the scum recruiteror get shot. I'd say investigating the mayor Night 1 would probably be a good idea. If we wanted our verified mayor to live, we'd have to spend a fair amount of our night actions trying to sustain him from that plan alone.

I too am of the opinion that it is to bold of a move on day one to volunteer for mayot if he is scum ans as such I would like to vote Mayor: Li'l CorneliusMurdock

His intentions seem noble and I would prefer to vote for someone who volunteered (for reasons stated by other; namely that it would be incredibly bold to put yourself in the spot light on day one if you are scum) than for someone random.

Posted

I wouldn't go as far as to say Li'l Cornelius is confirmed town just for candidating, but he seems as good a candidate as any, and I might not be around by the time voting ends.

Hence, I Mayor: Li'l CorneliusMurdock.

Wrong format

Mayor: Li'l CorneliusMurdock

And that's why I said what I did, something Lil' CMP seems to have taken exception to.
