Akm310 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) Hello everyone, Here is my current town layout. I try to make it nice and simple due to the very limited space. Here is my previous layout setup (not 100% complete): Thanks for viewing. . Edited March 16, 2013 by Akm310 Quote
Vindicare Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Very impressive. I like the MOC buildings you have there too. Although the scale is off, I like the use of those Shell exclusive e Ferraris.you certainly have a lot packed into a little space. I also like that your roads are too cluttered with vehicles and has a lot of people going about. Gives you much more to look at, seeing all the little scenes playing out. Quote
polarscribe Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) Amazing office building/auto dealer MOC! Edited March 16, 2013 by polarscribe Quote
Pop Bumper Pete Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Looks great Pity you could not work in a railway siding somewhere Quote
Bregir Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Great layout - and I too like the tall office building. You managed to avoid it getting too bland, I think! :) Quote
MatiPasio Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) Amazing! Great layout and nice train! Edited March 16, 2013 by MatiPasio Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Excellent layout Akm310! The white tower MOC looks great among official sets. Keep up the great work Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Nice work there 'Akm310', I like the tall auto showroom and the general layout of your city......keep going and Brick On ! Quote
L@go Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 That's a very tasteful and well-designed layout you've got there, and that's impressive with the limited space. Small layouts tend to get cluttered, but you've managed to refrain from filling it up too much. I also like the modifications you've done to official sets. Well done! Quote
timmyc1983 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 wow, really well done! You've managed to fit so much in such a small space, i like it a lot :) and i do like your new layout better than your old one... Both are good but the new one is better imo :) excellent work! Quote
Electricsteam Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 That is an awesome layouy! I love how you turned the Pizza Palace into a non-cutout building! On another note, why does the toysrus set with its creepy bear figure huant me! Also what are you using to keep that helicopter up in the air? Quote
The Blue Brick Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Great layout. I love your custom buildings and mods. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 It looks great. It's a shame your grand emporium has the back visible, you should mod it to have a three-sided facade. Quote
wooootles Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 I like the tall building! Quite an energetic little layout you got there. Quote
Ape Fight Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Like this a lot! Mine's a bit older in style: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79846 Quote
Akm310 Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. Legocrazy81, I wanted a place to display my Shell exclusive Ferraris, so I thought "why not display it in a showroom in the city". I thought about the scale being an issue, but it didn't look that bad, so I go ahead and done it. I may replace the Ferraris if I do a nice vehicle MOC. Electricsteam, I thought that's how the way to display the bear. Maybe I will move it. I use a regular white thread taped to the ceiling to keep the helicopter up in the air. Quote
legolegolegolego Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 The new layout looks great. The Ferrari dealer and the Pet shop buildings flanking the Town hall look particularly good. - Michael Quote
Brinstar Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 A very impressive layout. I particularly like the way you have integrated the Modular Buildings with your own MOC's. The most eye catching part of the display is not the Modular Buidlings (because almost everybody's town display has them) but the office block. A relatively simple design, but incredibly effective. I also commend you for fitting so much into a relatively small space, without making it look overly cluttered. Quote
kermit Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Very impressive and great work I wish I had a large table like that to do my own layout. Quote
Akm310 Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 Very impressive and great work I wish I had a large table like that to do my own layout. Thanks. I use two ikea tables placed beside a wall shelf for the layout. I really really want to add another table but there's no room. :( Quote
jimmynick Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Nice! I really like that tall white building - you did a great job with the windows. Quote
Andy D Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Very nice town! I like he way you have integrated standard buildings with your MOCs. I particularly like he car showroom/sky skyscraper office building as it gives the city a big city feel. Andy D Quote
igacreative Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I realise I am posting this much later than everyone else, but for those with limited space, this is very inspirational! Quote
