Yes I am also kinda worried that it will sell out within the first day. And eBay sellers will crank up the price just because its limited edition.

I could use another servo or L motor but I REALLY want those large six-hole rims with the white stripe  the black plastic looks nice and glossy too, I have the small black racing wheel with 6 holes and it's great

Maybe I'm the only one..but don't think this model is so special...OK blue parts, maybe ok the rims with this little white..the design of the old us muscle cars but don't personally like this design into the 9398 frame...prefered it in a car frame so lower. And more, what about the color combination?? Down we have red/grey while up we have black/blue/white/grey?? Come on....

Don't think gonna buy it(already have the 9398), when we'll have the pdf instructions maybe gonna make the body in black and red.

With the money gonna buy the 42009 for sure!

This model is special because Lego has listened to the complaints regarding the color of the original set, and this is sort of a replacement. I will never buy the 9398, but this one I want badly.

So the 100 / 101 winners of the competition, have they received their copy of this limited edition set yet?

Do we have a date for general release yet?

Received another email from LEGO Technic Team for my contact number with country code for their freight forwarder company!

Edited by Gene

I'm kind of wondering what the correct format for the number is. I put mine as 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx, but is the country code supposed to go after the number? Anyway, end of june shipping= Happy Saberwing.

I believe the format they expect is a plus sign, your country code, and your phone number. For example, a number for Portugal would be "+351xxxxxxxxx".

When somebody receives it and puts it together, can you post a parts list for the top part? That way I can buy the needed parts for only the top rather than buying the entire set as I will be buying the 9398 soon.

I'd say that the question is a bit moot, since most probably the 20000 copies will be sold out well before the typical life cycle of a Technic set ends. Personally, if there is no unit limit per customer, what I'm most afraid is that it gets sold out before I can buy one.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. Although with the exclusivity of it, they should but a limit on it. They put a limit of 5 on the 9398 so I think they may put a limit on this one too.

I haven't read anything about the 9398 being limited, so if they put a limit of 5 per customer on a non-limited set, they should at least put a limit of 2 per customer on the 41999 which is limited.

That's the most fair, giving more people the chance to get it.

Ya I went to the lego.com store and it says that you can only buy 5 so that everyone who wants one, can have one.

Where???? I go to shop.lego.com and can't find it anywhere!
