anderssons Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 My First Technic RC MOC. It's very lightweight and built with a real RC car as guidance. It's about twice as fast as the 4x4 Crawler. (LEGO - we need that clutch) Features one XL motor. Servo for steering and Headlights. Individual springs from the old 8860 Chassis. There are very soft and very much feels like real RC oil springs on this model. When the snow clears here i will get around to do a nice video. http://www.flickr.com/photos/60383290@N04/sets/72157633088245894/ Quote

Bulle Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I like how you went with the chassis. So, how fun is it to drive? Quote

Someonenamedjon Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Warm welcomes to EB! I really like the guns on the top, how did you get the inspiration to make the,? Quote
anderssons Posted March 28, 2013 Author Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Hi Thanks for your replies. As the chassis was nearly finished i started to think about the styling and i was looking through the LEGO cupboards and got the idea for the windscreen. Like a kind of perforated metal screen. It looked like an amored windscreen and after i fitted it, i came to think of zombies. So i had to put guns. I always thought the brackets was pretty useless for anything else but their where round so i started various design with them and thought it worked pretty well. I actually put lots of tubes and stuff on the guns but didn't like it. Stuck with the antenna. it weighs 1050g with batteries. (4x4 crawler 1550g with batts- 8297 offroader 1300g with batts.). It's a little shorter than the 8297 to make it corner better. It's my first MOC and i can see there are a few lacks. Gearing is too simpel, the body is too simpel and so on. I might fit one more XL motor so i can keep the "high" speed gearing and make it more agile. It stalls a little too easy. Here is a few photos of the guns. Edited March 28, 2013 by anderssons Quote
