From the looks of what you wrote, you already have one on order correct? My reasoning for getting two is simple, I have a friend who is into Star Wars more so than I(got her a Sandcrawler for Christmas) and for the moment she is strapped for cash. This is mostly due to the fact that we are going to Celebration IV and she will need the money then. This way when she does have the money she can get the MF from me.

At the time of buying them I thought about getting a 3rd one, but I opted on not going that route. Oh and as far as money goes, I have money set aside each month for fun stuff so I guess I manage my finances well and Uncle Sam is giving me a nice tax return to boot. X-D

This set looks VERY good on the outside and is on minifig scale.

But like all the UCS sets, there are almost no details on the inside of the ship.

And it is so big that I will have to buy a bigger house :-) .

Still, I might buy one if I can find a place to put it...

Great! That means its entirely BrickLink-able. Apart from (some) of the Minfigs

No new parts, but preexisting parts in new colors (for that specific part), so technically not fully Bricklinkable.

The decoration on the radar dish just might be a sticker...............

You know now that I think about I may buy 2 more before the end of the next month. Wow this is fun. :-D

Hmmm.......The Falcons are bring pre-ordered now but they will ship well after June. So will they get a chance for a C3PO too?

Although we've confirmed the charge is placed at the time of shipment. ;-)

I think that the Sets that aren't out and that we've seen will have the C-3POs for sure, I'm in no doubt that at least the MFs will get one.

I wonder, if this is the First Limited and Certified Edition run, than there is hope for those of you who want one now to just wait for a regular version. I guess I would buy a regular version to play with and the two first edition ones I will leave sealed. This way I can always say I have at least one sealed for good. :-D

I would figure all the 3POs are going into retail sets.

Nobody's going to buy a $500 MF because of the chance of a 3PO, but they might be persuaded to but an off-the-shelf set for $20-$60.

that's my initial thoughts too that it was too pricy and would wait for a sale or something. but then TLG's marketing team basically decided to make this first production limited edition. limited edition certificate, and a price tag of $500 basically makes this set a must have NOW! think about it...how many 5000 piece sets will TLG be making? and with a limited edition certificate?

long story short, i decided to buy one. and will probably see the demand at the end of feb. if it makes the top 25 hot seller list, i'll put in another order for 4 more (since one address can only order 5 max). i don't think there will be a lack of demand for it despite the high price tag. mindstorm was half of that and it had no trouble making the top 25 list too on debut.

i think after the first production ended, the demand will die down somewhat though.

seriously, I don't expect high sales, but it may be around for 5 years or so, just to give people the time to save some money for this, very much like the UCS ISD.

man, I'm having mixed feelings about this set. First off I can't belive that TLC is selling it at that pirce! I thought that $300 was a lot but $500!?!? that's overkill. plus it's size is going to make it hard to store it, I don't have a flat suface (besides the floor) to put it on! another thing I worried about it is that this is the only MF that we're getting for a while because of the minifigs that it comes with. the only way I getting this set is if they lower the price. (even then I might not get it.)

In the US it's number 6 in the best-sellers list at the moment.

I really want this set, but finding the money for it now might be a problem :-/ . I wonder how limited this set will be and when will lego stop taking orders? Sould they do a some sort of finance option :-D as this is such a expecive set? Seeing as this is not shipping till Oct 07 they could do a 50 pound, dollar or euro a month plan. I might have to bite the bullet and get my first credit card just to get it!
