snefroe Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 looks pretty cool. still i'd replace the canopy with the one from the second minifig version... :-/ i wonder if there's any interior . there's no point in adding the other minifigs if you can't put them inside... :-| hm... what is this thing going to cost? :-X btw, yoda is going to be so pissed! everytime we get big news, he's not online... CopMike Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 btw, yoda is going to be so pissed! everytime we get big news, he's not online... X-D!Poor *yoda*! This set should be one of the surpices for the Event: 50% of and an additional self reduction on top of that X-D copmike Quote
Vader Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 X-D!Poor *yoda*! snefroe Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Man thats right hes gonna be pissed he missed this :'-( Ahhh well he will be her soon enough and news like this will sure make him happy. :-) actually, i was in Paris yesterday and he said this to me: "you know, I wouldn't be surprised if right now, Sam or any body else posts great news like pics of the MF on EB, now that I'm not online! It's always like this!" so "pissed" doesn't even begin to describe his state of mind when he sees this! thank God I'm far away from Paris right now, and if you are there... hide... :-P hm... come to think of it... maybe we should prevent him from getting online ever again... g... BIG news every day on EB! :-P we also talked about the canopy of this new MF set. we kinda agreed that a great canopy would seriously improve any MF set. I'd like to know what he feels about Lego's solution for this MF. Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Well in that case I vote for creating a new forum he can't see, moving the topic there, and then moving it back once he's online with all the times changed :-P Quote
TroyTMoore Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I think this is the first time I really feel like, "Stop it LEGO! Enough already!" :-P This is a beautiful set! I am not a mega SW fan....but I like anything OT (reminiscence of my childhood I guess). This set makes the SandCrawler look "slapped together" My only hope (besides Obi-Wan Kenobi ;-) ) is that this set is available for 1.5-2 years Quote
cwj93 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 OMG maybe its not a UCS set when Chewie and Han is in the set X-O X-D :'-) 8- Quote
Andrex Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 OH. MY. Thanks a lot Lego |-/ I was just thinking I could survive a year or two without buying any sets. But this is Heavenly! It's a realistic size, has the four minifigs I still need, and is simply gorgeous! Such a perfect set. I think I'm going to have to put a little bit of money aside for this then! Quote
CopMike Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 A *yoda*-free forum ..... X-D! Hm, something to think about ;-)! I wonder how many nice sets that will give us? copmike Quote

jamie75 Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 Thanks for the credit on the front page, but, as I said, Davee gets all that on FBTB and he found out about from someone a Lugnet and posted it there. All I did was come here and see what people were saying here. There wasn't a topic about it yet and started one. Also, the other pics were not avalible when I posted, thanks for editing my post include them. Saves the trouble of scrolling what is sure to be a popular topic. Sam, anyone!!! Is any info avalible about it? Piece count, price, dates. I have read rumors of 3000 to 5000 pieces. Price is the same $300 to $500. As for ordering dates, soon to late summer or fall. We have read all these, I'm sure, but, do any of the Admin. or Mods. know anything concrete? Thank god my wife and just got our income tax!! I really need to make Valentines day special for her this year so I can buy it and not sleep on the couch for week. *sweet* Thanks, Jamie Quote

simonwillems Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 This thing is so huge! I bought the Millennium Falcon issued in 2000 and it looks like if you open just one storage area in this new version, the old one can fly right in.... Quote
CopMike Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 One question still unanswered - how about the swooshability :-P? I need to swoosh this one bigtime *y*! Swoosh On copmike Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 One question still unanswered - how about the swooshability :-P?I need to swoosh this one bigtime *y*! Swoosh On Oh oh, someone else wants to swoosh in the nudes X-D :-P G, now Kim has a rival >:-) Seeing that the old Falcon is crap to swoosh around, I can't imagine for this one :-P Lets swoosh around a 4 kilos Falcon yeay !!!!! *yoda* Quote
Scouty Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Wow!!! They're bringing back the old Leia from the first falcon!!!! Hooray!! Man can you guys imagine how long this bad boy will take to put together oh.gif , still it will be worth the time spent to be able to display this. Do you think it'll be a longer build than the UCS ISD? Quote
oo7 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Heh. This UCS thing is so messed up. They try to make a huge set with lots of detail, in this case of a already huge model, so the final product is actually perfect minifig scale! So they throw in some minifigs anyway (and good ones too!). I doubt there is an interior. All those plates at different angles mean that there's probably a wastefully space-consuming technic framework on the inside. This set does look nice, but it just may be out of my price range. Quote
CopMike Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I agree with you oo7 that the interior probably is pretty lame, this baby needs the Flail-treatment *y*! Tile On copmike Quote
Plural Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I so hope its not too expensive, I was actually hoping to get some other sets this year Quote
blueandwhite Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Boy am I glad I skipped on the second release of the Falcon. THIS is the Falcon I've been waiting for *wub* ! I must find a way to save for this monster. Absolutely friggin crazy! Quote
