blueandwhite Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 If what legoman says is true, then it sounds like Luke might be getting a new hairpiece. Could explain his absense in the photographs. Quote
CopMike Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Check this for the hairpiece etc *y*! copmike Quote
simonwillems Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Check this for the hairpiece etc *y*!copmike Thanks! Those are great close-up pictures of the set. Just look at the last picture for the size of this thing X-O Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 i found this on fbtb.Quote/ As for the rest of the news. There will be a galactic hunt if you will, for the C-3PO that is gold in color (that is shinny gold) inserted into 10,000 random packs starting in June of this year. Could be anyone of the Star Wars sets coming out this year. Also there will be a contect on the LEGO.com site, for your chance to win one of FIVE 14k gold C-3PO mini figs. As I said, look for all these images by tomorrow. Including images of the designer holding the falcon in the air and the two different C-3PO's" Quote/ So...is this 2007 only? or Battle Packs too? Or what? And no sets contain C3PO, so it could be in ANY set? Bah... And so the hunt for the golden ticket begins! Er...golden fig, same thing Quote
Vader Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Hmmmm winning one f those c-3po's would be fantastic but the odds will be unbelievable :'-( Lukes new hair piece looks ok even if it is an old one, somehow it seems to fit quite nicely better than i expected. Quote
sam89 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Here's some pics from sirstevesguide: http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/showgallery.php?cat=5275 Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Well, I wonder if it is worth it to spend all that money just to get nice details, 15 lb. of bricks, and some nice fleshies straight from LSW2 never seen before. I do hope that is what LEGO is doing, releasing everyone not previously released in fleshtone. What's big in this set is Obi-Wan. You don't walk around a corner these days and find Epi. 4 Obi-Wan like you do with the Epi. 3 Obi-Wan. If I can manage to get the figures maybe off Ebay, that would be worth it. :-D Quote
LoRd AmUnRa Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I love it but its soooo big ^^ it s crasy , i probbaly get it but i still hope for en UCS Slave 1 with minifigs too hunt the USC millenium falcon Quote
Andrex Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Now there's an idea. Win a C-3PO, sell it, and buy the Falcon :D. I wish. It's my only chance of getting one right now. I am LOVING that Luke Skywalker figure, and I am still in need of the other four too. I expect I'll be picking one of these up in a few years when I can afford it, plus when I have a shelf to display it on. Awesome stuff! I'm loving the fact that it's so solid, and accurate. Quote
sam89 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Here's some bigger pic posted by Steve on Lugnet: http://news.lugnet.com/announce/?n=3428 They're the same pics we've already seen, just bigger :-P Quote
SupaaSayajin Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Damn it costs almost 550 Euro in the beginning, just think of how much itll cost 10 years later, like 5000 Euros?? Damn i have to get this, but I wont pay 550 Euro for it, Ill get at 50% off personal sale at my Lego store hehe ;) Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 As for the rest of the news. There will be a galactic hunt if you will, for the C-3PO that is gold in color (that is shinny gold) inserted into 10,000 random packs starting in June of this year. Could be anyone of the Star Wars sets coming out this year. OK, that sounds really interesting 8- Quote
Zane Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 This set is TOO good. And that's a bad thing. It throws the price right up. I've always wanted a Falcon, and I can't get this one cuz of the price. And it's not likely that they will make another one. So I'd have to pay Quote
Vader Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 The problem i have is justifying paying Quote
Andrex Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I never believed a set would get more expensive that Quote
Vader Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Stand in line then as were all waiting for a Hoth set X-D Quote
Andrex Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Indeed. There's a whole ocean of Hoth lovers in need of a Tauntaun (I mean after playing LSW2 demand has gone up even more now). Fingers crossed ^^. Quote
oo7 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Check this for the hairpiece etc *y*!copmike Thanks for the link, Copmike! Finally a good picture of the Naboo minifigs! *y* There's a good droideka picture too. Just like I predicted, solid technic framework with a minifig accessible cockpit and turret. Not bad at all. Looks like the New York Lego employees can assemble Lego sets better than the French Lego Employees. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 lookie at these pics! Don like Luke though. -ZotS Quote
snefroe Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 550 euro? i'll let this one pass... thank god i'm not a sw collector... :-X :-P Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 550 euro? i'll let this one pass... thank god i'm not a sw collector... :-X :-P My thoughts exactly. A good reminder of why I don't collect UCS sets. But what a beauty it is... *wub* Quote
Dark Brick Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Well I broke down and bought not one but two of these models :-D I was told by the LEGO customer service rep. that my card will not be charged until it ships, which is perfect because there are other things I would like to buy. At any rate, I too read about the Gold colored C-3POs within certain sets and that is just as exciting. Hunt On! X-D DB Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I was told by the LEGO customer service rep. that my card will not be charged until it ships *wub* *wub* *wub* THANK GOD Thanks for this news, this makes me so relieved. Now then, care to buy me a second one too, Mr. Moneybags? :-P Quote
KimT Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Arrrrgh! Damnation for all LEGO designers *wacko* This is AWESOME... must have... This is great set...the price is quite hefty thought. No matter I'm a collector and this IS going into my colletion one way or the other... KimT Quote
Dark Brick Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 *wub* *wub* *wub* THANK GODThanks for this news, this makes me so relieved. Now then, care to buy me a second one too, Mr. Moneybags? :-P From the looks of what you wrote, you already have one on order correct? My reasoning for getting two is simple, I have a friend who is into Star Wars more so than I(got her a Sandcrawler for Christmas) and for the moment she is strapped for cash. This is mostly due to the fact that we are going to Celebration IV and she will need the money then. This way when she does have the money she can get the MF from me. At the time of buying them I thought about getting a 3rd one, but I opted on not going that route. Oh and as far as money goes, I have money set aside each month for fun stuff so I guess I manage my finances well and Uncle Sam is giving me a nice tax return to boot. X-D Yeah I felt relieved too that I will not be charged till it ships. Yay!! DB Quote
