Scouty Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Well, I made this, at least half an hour ago, took a stove, and fire to complete it, anyway, here it is. I wanted a Trench coat/Cloak for my captain, who is named Captain Matinet. He is going to be in my movie "The Black Goblet": Well, here is my idea for the Trench Coat/Cloak using lego's cape: Quote
JJ.walkers Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Please commint my' thing right over yours P.S. The trench coat! :) Quote
PSPguy Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I think he wanted you to comment? Nice. Can you make your own from scratch? Quote
Vader Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Please commint my' thing right over yoursP.S. The trench coat! :) What are you on about? Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 What are you on about? I think he's saying to comment on his topic, which was at the time right above his on the board list. Sort of advertising :-| Quote
Scouty Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 I could, and probably will, make the coat from scratch...coming out soon! Now onto my coat please! I would like statments! Quote
Asuka Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I like it very much. Your cloak is indeed elegant and well done too. Clever! *y* Would be great in the color of that uniform. But please note that I Quote
Scouty Posted February 11, 2007 Author Posted February 11, 2007 Trust me, the coat isn't itchy ;-) . I'm gonna try to get a matching decalled-coat for Matinet. Quote
zouave Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Please commint my' thing right over yoursP.S. The trench coat! :) What he's saying is that a few days after you posted this he got the same idea. :-D And I think he thinks you stole his idea. Quote
Norrington Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 well, scince this topic was ressurected, what the hey? I think that you should change Matinet's arms to black to match the coat, or make th coat with the rarer, blue cape. Quote
KimT Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 I agree with Norrington. Match the arms and the cape or vice versa. I think it looks a bit "off" - brown and blue is a strange mix. What I do like is the arms coming out of the sides of the cape, that looks kinda neat. KimT Quote
zero1312 Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Nice Idea, but for this figure it would look better in black or blue. ;-) Quote
Jipay Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 When will the movie be released ? How is it progressing ? Nice coat. Maybe brown arms. Quote
Scouty Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 well, scince this topic was ressurected, what the hey? I think that you should change Matinet's arms to black to match the coat, or make th coat with the rarer, blue cape. The cape is brown, not black :-P . Which blue cape would you be refering to? Lando Calirrisean's? I have it, but no way would I poke holes through that one. I actually did have matching brown arms, but then it looked to solid. Let's try it with BROWN! Let's try it with BLACK! Let's try it with BLUE WITH BROWN AT THE END! ON A SHIP! I actually like the blue with brown (which was the Star Wars one from the newest Slave I). Black also looks good. Brown isn't doing it. Surprisingly. Movie: 'Goblet' will be coming out this year, I hope. Moving to a different place doesn't help, either. The movie is progressing faster than usual, which was actually haulted for another project, but now that that is done, and my school is finally finished, I can work non-stop with this. :-) . Look for it in the future. Oh, Thanks for the all comments so far :-). P.S. I'm wondering if I should move this to the Pirates Moc Forum? EDIT: I have decided on a finaly design...but you'll have to wait and see what it is ;-) . Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 8, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) Now the arms look a bit strange because they are completely outside of the coat, but I guess that's always the case with a coat... Anyway, you could try something like this (in black or brown) to make things look more natural. P.S. I'm wondering if I should move this to the Pirates Moc Forum? That's up to you, but I'm not against it ;-) Edited June 8, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Scouty Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 I have finalised on a style, but wont tell :-P . I'm expiermenting with coat designs and see if I can add some touch ups on the coat. Like blue trimmed endings. Moved to Pirate MOC Forum. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 8, 2007 Governor Posted June 8, 2007 In case you weren't aware (you'd have to be blind or drunk not to be) we now have a Pirate LEGO Customs Forums for threads like these... So this threads gets to move again! Quote
Scouty Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 Ah! Silly me :-D . Forgot about it when I was moving the thread. Thank you Mister Phes. Quote
zouave Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I like the black arms. The brown arms are a little too bright for the cape. BTW Bonaparte, how do you make that medieval coat? Quote
Scouty Posted June 9, 2007 Author Posted June 9, 2007 Thanks. Assured, the brown arms aren't the final piece. I'm trying in photoshop on a cape template blue and gold trimmings. I'll see how that goes. Quote
Rear-Admiral Nelson Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Well done, Scouty, that trench coat is great! :) Quote
