April 1, 201311 yr I preffer the other way, with a bodywork done I will build the chassis . Much better idea I am having a go at this anyway ... First proper time building from scratch a body in LDD Edited April 1, 201311 yr by legomuppet9
April 1, 201311 yr Nice title, April Fools? I would love to build the chassis but I dont have any L motors. tim
April 3, 201311 yr I was actually planning to make a new MOC, and you just saved me a whole lot of work! I was planning to make this car in the scale of your chassis, but thought it would be difficult to make it so small and remotely controlled. But this is perfect!! Anyway, here is a picture of the work in progress.. going in to a building hiatus now (girl coming home), so the e might be some time till I get to finish it... As you can (maybe) see, this is also a Mercedes Benz Geländewagen. More specifically an MB290 "Multi Light" as used by the Norwegian Army

April 3, 201311 yr My Ultimate Power Function Chassis is also a small 4WD chassis with independent suspension. I build a 1980-style Volvo-Body on it. I think it looks pretty good. Maybe can someone build there another '70 or '80-style car body on it (like a Delorean). @Efferman: How wide is your chassis in studs? Greets, Fresko
April 3, 201311 yr Maybe can someone build there another '70 or '80-style car body on it (like a Delorean). My car is based on a '70 style rally car I think Edited April 3, 201311 yr by legomuppet9
April 3, 201311 yr My car is based on a '70 style rally car I think Oh, sorry, I didn't see. I was hurried. Greets, Fresko
April 3, 201311 yr Oh, sorry, I didn't see. I was hurried. Greets, Fresko Don't worry, I must admit it isn't obvious
April 3, 201311 yr Author @Efferman: How wide is your chassis in studs? at the outside of tires it is 17,75 studs wide and the wheelbase is 29 studs
April 3, 201311 yr Finished my "entry" Effe's body building challenge 1 by legomuppet9, on Flickr Effe's body building challenge 2 by legomuppet9, on Flickr I admit, the body is a bit wide... but hey, quite good for a first attempt I think Effe's body building challenge 3 by legomuppet9, on Flickr Also, the functionality of my body: the doors open, so much functionality I know... Also something else you may be interested in, the white background is achievable by taking a screenshot (Ctrl+K or "Tool Box" then "Take a screenshot") in the building mode, it makes much better images than in the view mode Edited April 3, 201311 yr by legomuppet9
April 4, 201311 yr Lego Muppet, I really like how you've gone for a sports car! I think to improve it, you could put one of these on each side of the bonnet. I really like it though. It reminds me of a Ginetta
April 4, 201311 yr Lego Muppet, I really like how you've gone for a sports car! I think to improve it, you could put one of these on each side of the bonnet. I really like it though. It reminds me of a Ginetta I don't really know where I got my inspiration from, but knowing me probably something British about the panels, they wouldn't actually fit on the side as the bonnet is only one stud higher than the wheel arches
April 4, 201311 yr Oops. My mistake. Is there any way to slope the sides of the bonnet at all? I just think it might enhance it a little bit. Maybe using these would work?

(I'd forgotten about them ) EDIT: and yes they do work Effe's body building challenge bonnet updated by legomuppet9, on Flickr Thanks for that suggestion Edited April 4, 201311 yr by legomuppet9
