The e30 model from my youtube videos will also have a body like that. Probably covered in panels instead of plates though, to save weight.

You could build it, but without the back of the vehicle, just the body.

you can mount the third axle on the bodywork, there are no rules against your idea

i have studied the lxf file, and i am missing 6 parts to build it, and these are very crucial parts as the http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=32198 and the http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=61904. so unfortunately i can not build the chassis.

beacause i like building physical lego :) and i do not have the patience to use ldd for any longer times.

This is what it looks like so far:

Had to replace the original wheels, as they looked a bit puny for this car. Also, the wheelbase of the chassis is a bit longer than the original vehicle I think, so I had to "widen" things up a bit!

Waiting for a bricklink order to make more details and stuff...

When I eventually finish this, I will make a separate topic, to explain some things about the origin of this vehicle, and (if I can manage to boot up my old PC) show some pictures of the real thing

none of them are final though, Experimenting with a few different designs..

Was going for an MG3 for the smaller ones, but they look more like something completely different! Will do some more experimenting after the weekend! Also; can't decide whether to have a .50 cal or a 40mm AGL on top!

I'm happy with the front of the car (current winch is only a substitute for one I've ordered), but the hood, among other things, need a lot of work!
