Corvus Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Well, sorry to interrupt the death theory... :-P You people on BZP have probably already seen this, but I didn't see it here, so... Mahri Instructions! Again, if this was posted before, tell me.
Starwars4J Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I don't know if it was posted before, but what a wonderful link on the page you provided! Brickley's Words
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 No, his problem is NOT with dealing with that many characters. Tite Kubo-San, the writer and artist of the anime series Bleach, has proven that. His problem is that unlike Tite-San, he cannot seem to write: A: INTERESTING characters B: ORIGIONAL powers 3: IMAGINATIVE plot D: Or much of anything else beyond your pretty much average toy storyline. I demand the Templar story crew, Bob Thompson and Leah whats-her-name! :P
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Leah Weston, 'tis. 12) Boggarak can create sonic hums, which they use to transmute solid matter into gas, stone, etc. Can you give me a more in depth description of this natural ability? Is it temporary?12) It is temporary, yes. Once the hum stops, so does the transmutation. If you are looking for a scientific explanation of how it works, there isn't one -- this is a comic book universe, there doesn't have to be. Just found this quote rather relevant. :-) -Ikk
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Greg treats it as a comic book universe. Bob Thompson and Templar treated it as a mythology with toys. No wonder the Gregverse pales to the 2001-2004 storyline.
Kynok Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Greg treats it as a comic book universe.Bob Thompson and Templar treated it as a mythology with toys. No wonder the Gregverse pales to the 2001-2004 storyline. Haha! Gregverse...
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 He treats it like a comic? ... :'-( -ZotS
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 The bland character personalities and the fact that he's always making examples out of other comic book universes didnt tell you that much? :P
Shakar Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Since this does involve summer sets: 11: when do you think you can give any info out on the first toa coming out as a set this year? I have looked everywhere and I cant even find his name!11) His name is Lesovikk ShakarEDIT: I can't believe I didn't see these before. The Mahri canisters pics are old, but the Titan pics are new (as far as I know). Still, they seem like prototypes: Gadunka has white feet and no squid launcher, for example. The others look like they're unchanged.
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Lesovikk? Sounds kind of... Polish. Cool name anyway -ZotS
Zane Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Better than some names. Kind of Polish as ZotS said, but still not a bad name IMO.
Strikin' Venom Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Lesovikk... yeah thats weird. Sounds evil too. I bet he looks nothing like a Toa, but they'll say he's "Mutated". *Coz that solves all problems* |-/
Darkness Falls Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Lesovikk. Why not one "k"? Because we want to sound cool! I'll check out the set before final judgment.
Corvus Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Wow, Gadunka's box makes him look almost black. Very intimidating, but misleading to someone buying it. Does anyone else see this, or is my computer screen playing a late april fool on me? Maxilos's box is vey nice, though. "Lesovikk"?! I really hope they change that.
Shakar Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Lesovikk? Sounds kind of... Polish. Cool name anyway-ZotS That's what I was thinking too. I think it's a quite cool name.Regarding the looks, I'm sure he will look quite good. So far all the Toa Mahri, at least in my opinion, are good enough sets to be called Toa (I love Hahli and Jaller). Lots of people may disagree with me, but hey. Everyone's entiled to its opinion. Shakar

Shakar Yeah. The Mahri looked quite bad at first, but they've grown on me, especially Hewkii and Kongu. I plan to only get 3, but i can't decide which ones...
Shakar Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Still talking about Lesovikk, hopefully he won't be hunched and will have a good colour scheme worthy of a Toa of Air, unlike Kongu, who will receive some heavy modifications once he arrives to my lair...ehm, house. I'm hoping for teal...but my hopes are low. :'-( Shakar
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Toa Lesovikk! Remember, superfluous duel letters make names cooler! Toa Lesovikk rides the Gukko Bird, plays Kolhii, and can call on the Kraaken (sp?) and the Avohkii at will! LOOLZ!!111oneone *yawn* *sing*
Darkness Falls Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Toa Lesovikk! Remember, superfluous duel letters make names cooler! Toa Lesovikk rides the Gukko Bird, plays Kolhii, and can call on the Kraaken (sp?) and the Avohkii at will! LOOLZ!!111oneone*yawn* *sing* Exactly what I was feeling. See, the thing with promo Toa sets is that they don't divulge from the norm much. Norik and Iruini were Toa Metru, basically, and Takanuva, while not being a promo, was a boxed set, and was similar to the Toa Nuva. However, with the Mahri looking very unique in build, perhaps we'll see an new, awesome Toa. ((Yeah right...))
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Actually, my feeling about the Hagah is that they were what the Metru should have been: diverse in build, gear, and colors :P
Strikin' Venom Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Yeah the Hagah were pretty cool, even though i only got Norik. They should focus the story on when the Hagah worked for the BoM... 'Twud be nice; a change from all the millions of charries we get each year... Any-one noticed how fast we start new conversations... *sweet*
Darkness Falls Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Actually, my feeling about the Hagah is that they were what the Metru should have been: diverse in build, gear, and colors :P But still very similar in build and stature.
