Starwars4J Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Quite. Quaint. Spam. Try to keep on topic guys <_<
Darkness Falls Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Spam.Try to keep on topic guys <_< But we are keeping on topic... in spam form!
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 We're keeping the spam on topic :) ... Hey DF? We just posted two more posts of spam... :( So to make it moderately less spam, can we petition to have the topic changed from Toyfair 2007 Bionicle Set Images to "General BIONICLE Discussion"? :P
Strikin' Venom Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Woooo! General Spam Dis- Woops. Did i say Spam? I ment Bionicle. Haha, silly me :-D
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 My original name on BZP: Nidhiki of the Shawdows I'm a bad speller. X-D -ZotS
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Speaking of BZP... Heres my short lived (two weeks, six episodes) comic that I had going. I dropped it out of lack of interest - Apparently, the lower the quality of the work, the more comments it gets... http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=125354
Kahgarak Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Speaking of BZP...Heres my short lived (two weeks, six episodes) comic that I had going. I dropped it out of lack of interest - Apparently, the lower the quality of the work, the more comments it gets... http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=125354 Holy crap.I never knew you could draw this well! Great job, man. :'-)
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Thankee, man :) Sadly, BZP did not think so, and barely anyone posted. Well, its good to see sprite comics like "Fat Turkeys will Own you on the Wii" lives on... |-/ Hmm... P'raps write it for EuroBricks...? :P
Strikin' Venom Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Sprite comics.................. The only reason i dislike 'em is because i can't recolour sprites properly. I tried one, but couldn't post it because it was a .bmp. I'm rubbish on computers... :'-( What is a URL? Can someone show me a piccie, i just don't get it...
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 BMP = the normal and highest resolution that MSPaint saves files in. In order to post an image damn near anywhere, you have to save the picture in MSPaint to a GIF, JPEG, or PNG format. I suggest PNG - It doesnt result in color loss, the other two will. You can see some of my work in MSPaint here: http://www.maj.com/gallery/Aramir/MoraNui/arkaina1.png
Strikin' Venom Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 How do you save it to PNG format? Help would be extremely helpful X-D I made a few Sprites the Very Hard Way, but i found the easy way... Wooooo! *sweet*
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 http://www.maj.com/gallery/Aramir/BIONICLEmusic/bmptopng.png Dropdown bars FTW!
Strikin' Venom Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh... Thanks a lot. Now to show them to BZP and get insulted! >:-) EDIT: I can't make it a link..... i can only insert the picture... why is that?
Darkness Falls Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Thankee, man :)Sadly, BZP did not think so, and barely anyone posted. Well, its good to see sprite comics like "Fat Turkeys will Own you on the Wii" lives on... |-/ Hmm... P'raps write it for EuroBricks...? :P You need to understand that BZP members shun everything logical and containing a storyline when it comes to Sprite Comics. Except for The Rise and Fall of the Toa.
Strikin' Venom Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 If you think BZP is bad, have you seen the Lego Message Boards?! They're really bad. I don't think BZP is awful, it just has some Little kids, fresh from the Lego club spamming it up... And the Board messages... Grrrrrrrr >:-( Oh and LAHR thanks for all your help, i finally put a piccie up... *sweet*
Zane Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 So, uhm, what does any of this have to do with Bionicle at Toyfair 2007? So, what think we of the Mahri builds now we've seen the instructions? I'm liking Matoro the best, actually, but only when I ignore the fact that he's a Toa and that he's Matoro. Just a nice set, IMO. Apart from the arms...
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Eh - This is why I said the topic name should be changed to General Bionicle Discussion :) Face it, theres only so much we can talk about on those set images... Anyway, I plan on getting a few of the Mahri for use as Fell Seekers to pit against my Toa Metru. Jus' gotta throw away those HORRIBLE launchers is all :P
Strikin' Venom Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I now really want Kongu and Hewkii. I'm planning on making a cool Electric-powered Toa and i need all the yellow i can get... I'm gettin' Kongu just 'coz i like green and his charrie...
Zarkan Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 You need to understand that BZP members shun everything logical and containing a storyline when it comes to Sprite Comics That's generalization, and that, my friend, is very bad when you are talking about a forum of over 30000 members. Seriously, I doubt a third of the regular members even look at the sprite comics in Artwork 3 at all! The random humor of most sprite comics appeals to the younger members, but not to the older members, which there are quite a few of. Truly, I am getting sick of all the generalization and factual opinions creeping up around the "good" ship eurobricks. Many members word their posts like their opinions are fact, and everybody believes them. Not to be pointing fingers, but I do wish that all the members here could respect Double T's statement: But bad mounth as a rule is not okay here.. And a topic like this can really easy become that... SO a topic where the questin is directly asked, is not okay.We respect other Lego sites, and people... Note that it very well is possible that everybody here already respects that. ;-)
Strikin' Venom Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I'm gonna start a General Bionicle Discussion! This topic has gone totally Off-Topic...
Shakar Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I'm Shakar, Spirit of Weather. NOT a Toa. Toa are just way overused now....I'm an energy being contained in a shapeshifting armour. And a Spirit of Weather can destroy whatever Toa, pardon, toa of wierd thing who dares to challenge him.Anyway, I think I found Lesovikk's code and price! It's from the same place where the Skeleton Ship attack was discvovered for the first time. Lesovikk? There's Karzahni too. (8940) Hydruka Thulox Now, why did you link us to Thulox? Simple. Because we will use his price to guess the price in Euro (and in Dollars too, since they're almost always the same price number). The small sets cost 5 Euro. Thulox and the others are listed under the price of R36 (I don't know this currency). Therefore, Lesovikk will be: 36 (Thulox's price in that currency):5 (Thulox's price in Euro)=160 (Lesovikk's price in that currency):x (Lesovikk's price in Euro) (160x5):36=800:36=22,2222...(it goes on) Euro/Dollars. Same thing for Karzahni: 36 (Thulox's price in that currency):5 (Thulox's price in Euro)=362 (Karzahni's price in that currency):x (Karzahni's price in Euro) (362x5):36=1810:36=50,27778 Euro/Dollars Note that this pure math. Prices will rounded (is it the right word?) and changed, depending on the country where you live (and, of course Europeans; will pay alot more than Americans ;-) :-( :'-( ). Get it? The site also reveals the release dates: all the summer sets (Toa Mahri, Titans, playsets and Lesovikk) are listed under 1 August, while the Karzahni set is listed under 1 July. Interestingly, it and Lesovikk have this information:Bionicle Year (2007) , Category POWER ITEMS (Promotional lines) Indeed, they're going to be store exclusives (at least in USA). This site looks very accurate, I trust it.Shakar
Strikin' Venom Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Everytime it's a store exclusive in the USA, it's out everywhere in England. Umbra was practically in every shop, while Americans were (Supposedly) searching all over... Haha, to them!
Shakar Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I got my Umbra, here in Italy, in June. *sweet* Since sets always come out before the release date (look at the Inika- they were supposed to come out on the first of August, but at the end of June they were already available over Shop@Home!), I think that Karzahni will come out (at least in Europe) in June like Umbra did, while the others around the end of June/beginning of July. At least, I hope. That would be great. Shakar
