MattZitron Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Well if the Vikings are a succes, then they will make more... Probaly.... More Vikings mean more MONSTERS!!! Quote
jonfett Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Nooo! They have KK2 swords :( But the armour and axes make up for it. Jon. Quote
DoubleT Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Well I do like them Sam :) Nothing wrong with them... Quote
MattZitron Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Well I do like them Sam :) Nothing wrong with them... As long as they're not YELLOW, I'll be happy. Quote
Jipay Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I do not like KK2 swords because they are flexible ! But I assume this has to do with safety things... The design is good though Quote
The Middleman Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I prefer the old swords as well. The old cutlasses were the best-designed swords, in my opinion. Quote
ApophisV Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I do not like KK2 swords because they are flexible ! But I assume this has to do with safety things... The design is good though How true.... Thousends of kids died through the last years because they stabbed themselves with those hard plastic lego swords... :| At least American kids can't shoot themselves dead with the pirates cannons.... *wacko* Quote
The Middleman Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Watch what you say about American kids. ;) Why did they get rid of the old shooting cannons, anyway? Quote
ApophisV Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Eh, sorry, this wasn't meant to harm American kids.... :$ But the fact that TLC wasn't allowed to release cannons with shooting mechanism (Huhhh.... how daaaangerous...... *psycho theme*) is just so ridicolous.... Otherwise your non-shooting cannons had this nice symbol on it.... Quote
DoubleT Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Well Lego has made spring loaded canons since (Alpha Team etc) :) Quote
The Middleman Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 The old ones were cooler, these new Technic ones are meh. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I don't know why they both. Firing cannons are a crap action feature, I've never liked them, even when I was a kid. Quote
mahjqa Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Where is our post office? How about apartments & houses? Where did our water towers and factories go? Why are there so many fire and policemen in our town? The police station spontaneously combusts all the time and the fire station keeps getting robbed. See? They're keeping themselves busy. As for the homes and factories and stores... they're being built! Really! there's a bunch of construction vehicles that are moving 1*1*1 cylinders all over the place! Oh yeah, and any civilian vehicles exist for racing purposes only. Quote

Orlego Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 LOL, nice! I just think that Lego is missing the boat when it comes to the train/city theme. Although the new sets are great, they are still the same type of sets (fire, police & construction). Lego should do more city scape sets such as factories, stores, homes, apartments, parks, farms, post offices, libraries, mills, bars ;) , water towers, trussels, restaurants, etc. If Lego showed an interest into the model train business then we would see L-gauge become a real official model train gauge. All of our local hobby stores are very interesting with the L-gauge platform after seeing my display. So far three of them have started to stock Lego trains since. They said that they would have stocked them before but never knew Lego made trains. They are all a little disappointed that Lego does not do more sets to compliment the trains. Quote
Aeturnus Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 What was thought to be a bumper crop has been devastated by over tweaking. No beareds in the vikings..too much bionicle garbage.the faces look really bad from what i can see. Just wondering why the harry potter ship has a black falcon sheild?but hey who expected harry potter to suddenly be a good series after several years of garbage.must admit though stripping them for parts if discounted enough is fine. I must get the new city crane and diggers though they look nice. SAND CRAWLER need that Death star..sounds abit expensive but I want to see that. hope they release a castle legend again sometime soon. anyway blah blah etc i could go on for hours Quote
Aeturnus Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 mm city really needs more than construction fire and police sets.I agree..farms would be cool or some factories..so many possibilities yet such a narrowly targeted theme. there are only so many police fireman and construction workers you can fit into a town. out of my cities thousand strong population a third would be fitting into the above categories.but for up and coming lego fans that would be 90 % to 100% as there just isnt anything else. Vader Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Lets face it legos attitude towards building a city just plain sucks, theyve had plenty of time to give us extra buildings but they just dont seem to be interested in producing them. Quote
sam89 Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 It's probably because they know a Police Station will sell better than a house or a shop, which most children wouldn't be interested in. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 It's probably because they know a Police Station will sell better than a house or a shop, which most children wouldn't be interested in. They need to do Lego Zombies, and release shop mallparts. 10 different sets that connect together to make a mall!!!!! Quote

Vader Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Would that be a lego matrix dream world orlego? :-D ;) Quote
Orlego Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Would that be a lego matrix dream world orlego? :-D ;) Hmmm, could be..... ;) Just imagine the cool Matrix sets we could have had? Quote
Vader Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Yeah that would of been pretty sweet, i always thought that lego could have given us some fantastic sets :'( Quote
