My cousin is one of these parents. Her child is only 6 but had 0 interest in toys because he has everything that I have now as an adult. By his 6th birthday (in December) the kid had cable TV, a laptop with broadband Internet, DVD player and an Ipod. He also has an active cell phone.

You are kidding right ? tell me you are please :o

Well I agree that kids shouldn't have a playstation at 4. I had my first computer at 10 and it had the mirrific amount of 340 mb or harddrive, 2mo of ram and a 33mhz processor. Then i grew up with the technology, learning how to use it to create what I want.

I think you can be really creative on a computer, but somebody has to teach you how to use it.

Now, of course parents suck, which is good because then our kids can rule the world ! *evil laugh* muahahahahh

I really wish I were kidding but it is very true.

Thank You!! I agree. I also think kids should have to work for their first vehicle

Hahaha! I think we had the same computer. The first computer I bought (my third machine, when VGA color monitors were first breaking into the market) with my own money and not just another old business machine from my grandfather

definitly. To Orelgo : mine was a 386sx and your was obviously 66mhz. Mine was even older ^^ Ahhh the good ms dos commands. :')

I think kids needs toys to have good repesentation of the physical world that surrounds us. With computers you only have a virtual approach :/

Believe it or not but my Packard Hell was a 486 33sx. If I had waited a month I could have got the 66dx for the same price. I felt lost for years without a math co-processor. :P ;)

OK, I vote for 'nostalgia'. As an AFOL, I can definately relate - esp when my 1st computer was an Odysey that played three versions of pong in black & white. Does that count? If not, how about an Atari before they slapped "2600" on it. If that doesn't count, then a Commodore 64 with tape drive. - ok, we're really starting to date ourselves now...

I guess I'll just ask the question, when did you last buy a set that had a 2x4 "traditional" brick. Does lego still make these? It's been a while since I can remember building with one.

7417 - Temple of Mount Everest had one in black... had one in black.... :P

Hey, that was my first computer! I had olympic summer games, olympic winter games and something with Donald Duck sorting fruits!!! :')

I think it would be good for them to come out right NOW (or sometime this week ;)), so there's still plenty of time before the Star Wars sets come out.

I think what you heard was megablocks.

They changed the sets so much that there is no way they could have even made enough sets yet.

i saw the toyshops in Belgium unpack their new stuff for the next few weeks, today. there was nothing new, except new deliveries of the already released city theme... i think the viking story is wishful thinking... :(
