That's easier, if you have a 2x3 plate with 2 1x2 plates under it leaving a matching hole. Then you can use the normal brick separator.

I think it's possible to pull out the red 2L axle with a needle or something, if you use the pinhole next to the black pin

Then replace the grey thick 1x2 with two thin 1x2s with two axle holes, getting those out is difficult enough as it is when you can grasp the axle normally.

I think an official Lego separator on both sides would take care of that. Also, some of these LDD models look impossible to assemble also, as noted. I really like the turntable one as a gift idea. I would love one!

I once got one of those 3L connectors with a hole in the middle stuck in a turntable with the red 2L axles.

How on earth did you manage that? I assume that is a real picture?

I would think the only way to assemble this is to cut away the middle "ring" on the pins holding that wheelhub, allowing them to be pushed through the whole structure. But it would be next to impossible to dissasemble

Thank you! It was extremely strong, very good for a live axle perhaps. You get them apart using a flat head screwdriver and no damage is caused to any parts.

I've managed to make it even worse

Two thin 1x2 with 2 axle holes, one with the axle, one with a half-axle pin

To build it, simply stack two thin plates, join them with the half-axle pin, then put a connector peg into the crossblock, and lock it in with your 2-length axle

Then, just throw it away because you can't recover from that.

Any attempt to pull the red axle out is made impossible by using two thin 2L lift arms. They are hard to separate even in the most ideal conditions. It essentially doubles the holding power since each arm is meant to have the same grip on the axle. It's the same as using two half bushes instead of one full bush.

I have actually used this - it was essential for the rotating knot. I found that a crown gear gives a tighter fit (which I needed). I can confirm that the turntables can be taken apart easily without damage to lego or the user.
