Tell me why you think Vanilla Townies are important or how they are most useful Vanilla is an under-appreciated flavour, just because it's white, and less recognizable than strawberry or chocolate. Actually, it's quite tasty, and when voting as a block, is quite powerful. (6 steps in a Mafia application?) Can't really name an exact moment, just exact bad ones :p Tell me why you think Vanilla Townies are important or how they are most useful Their purpose, well, to simply put it, is a lot of meat shield and target practice, and then their sacrifice leads to the steam roll of the scum. Oh, wait, that was EB Mafia II. No, just kidding. I consider them the most important role in the game (even if they're not really). The town becomes compromised if they don't all participate and work like a well oiled machine, and there are sleepers and those that become over enthused, actually, they end up being more detrimental. Either way, the vanilla role is quite nuanced in what it can do, so it can be, at times, more complicated to play than a well laid out power role. (6 steps in a Mafia application?) I mean, they're able to be used as surrogates for people with night actions and they're able to be strong in the thread without fearing that they're going to die and cost the town a power role. 6) (6 steps in a Mafia application?) Finished final film of the semester yesterday, so I won't disappear over weekends anymore. That time that I was the SK in EB Mafia I. I have never had to put less thought into a game, it was a blessing. 5) Tell me why you think Vanilla Townies are important or how they are most useful - They sometimes get killed instead of power roles, but other than that should put in as little effort as possible so as to not distract the real players. 6) (6 steps in a Mafia application?) I think that would be a good idea, seeing how Walter posting his PMs in EB II helped the town a lot at lynching the right player; if posting PMs is allowed, I'd even go as far as to say that the scum should fake PMs among them, and that's not the kind of play I'd like to see. This is blatant manipulation and I won't stand for it. 1. I am town. I am not now, nor have I ever been mafia. 2. I can physically only maintain focus on any one topic for a maximum of 8 seconds. I also have a conference that will limit my availability 22-24 April, but will be completely free after that. 3. I like to procrastinate, so I will just think of this as a 1 hour deadline that starts 19 hours after the day ends. 4. Probably this voting fiasco. 5. Vanilla townies are crunchy and good with ketchup. 6. I promise not to tell anyone when I'm metagaming.

This game looks like a riot, and the secret furry inside me can't wait to play with Fabuland figures again, but Real-life is preventing me from devoting the required energy to play. It's been the same for the past two games. I haven't been able to be online 24/7, and it effects my ability to analyze and fake analyze. I thought it'd get better, but both times I managed to screw up rather badly due to lack of time (I don't think I'm actually as bad at playing scum as it would appear, it's just that I haven't been able to muster the time to be convinceing.), so I won't be applying to this game. I think that I'll be able to play again in the summer, but unfortunately that'll mean missing this one. I'll try to watch it though, in my 'copious' spare time. ~Furry Aristocrat

KotZ Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I'll apply!! 1) I've done Eurodina, the Halloween bloodbath, Def's Bloodbrick, Excalibur 1 and 2, and possibly a few others (can't recall off hand). 2) My focus is easy to do. I do have school during the day, but I have access to the internet. The only reason I may not be able to post at times is because of a play I'm in, and if we advance, my posting ability will be lowered for a month (but we find out if we advance tomorrow). 3)Yes 4)Favorite Mafia moment? Probably the crushing of innocents with chandeliers or the lynching of the stuttering townie. 5) Vanilla townies are important because they fill out the ranks. Not all games need a lot or a few. It depends on who is playing the game, who is running and what abilities are spread out amongst players. 6)Absolutely. I have no shame I hope I can play!

We're all going to be assigned roles that are named after other players. So instead of claiming vanilla, you'll have to claim KingoftheZempk.
