Filip Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Alright, I'll start off by saying that this was a huge dick-move on my side, but I can't really do anything about it now. Basically, I am (or were, more like) into brickfilming a while back, and I had just found this awesome swedish LEGO site on the net where he sold specific figs and parts, kind of like Bricklink. I then contacted him and asked if he would sponsor me, by selling me some figs and such cheap to me if I would have a link to his website in my videos. He happily agreed to this. However, shortly after I recieved the stuff from him, I realized I was getting bored of this hobby. Now, this would perhaps not be that big of a deal, if I had actually paid him, which I didn't. I guess we both pretty much forgot about our deal. I still feel like a douche for this, I really do, but hey, I got some free stuff. The things I got were pretty nice though, specially considering they were unused. A free Robin minifig (not the nice, curly hair) and that slime professor from Agents.
r74 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Got a kinex box full Star Wars lego for £5 at carboot on sunday, 100% complete 7130 snowspeeder and about 80% complete 7163 Republic Gunship, about 5 minifigs in box as well ie clones etc and loads spares from other ships, think i'll try few more carboot sales...
marcobnine Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Just got 10196 Grand Carousel in the mail. I bought it for the list price of CAD $350.00 at the Toys R Us Canada website. I was just browsing the site last week when it showed up as "in stock". As soon as my order went through it was out of stock so I guess that was just the very last set. I opened the box (damaged in shipping anyways) and the contents are perfect (sealed polybags, intact sticker sheet, etc).
IAmWillGibson Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Ummmmmmmm... I can't say I've ever found stunning deals at a consistent rate, but a few have stuck out in my mind. Mostly Value Village scores [which is a second hand store, in case that wasn't obvious]. I got Studios 1354 DIno Head Attack sealed for I think 3 bucks, and Creator 5867 in a crunched but unopened box for 4 bucks. I also found a 3431 2 vs 2 Basketball missing I think 3 pieces and with no minifigs [but it had the instructions] for, again, perhaps 3 bucks. Random other stuff, too, like another Tauntaun. I was very psyched the day I got 8061 Gateway of the Squid for 10 bucks on a Black Thursday sale at Walmart. Best find I think, though, was 8089 Hoth Wampa Cave for 15 bucks thanks to a mis-stickerage. That was the best.
RichardRobins Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 20kg of mixed lego, including the entire 2005 fire fighter range (except fireboat) and 3 construction sub theme models from same year. All for £22 on ebay XD Sold the construction models for £35 in a quick 4 minute from listing sale
wokajablocka Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I just recived a purchse from eBay for a bulk lot of Star Wars Lego for $85 + $15 postage. When I sorted thorugh it I found 26 complete minifigs including Greedo, lightup Windu and Vader, Dewback to name a few as well as spair minifig parts. Also had 12 incomlete sets (4051 Cantina 90% complete), and one mini imperial shuttle still in the box. $100 investment for average price of about $350 worth of minifigs + 1 1/2 - 2 kg of incomplete sets = :sweet:

Hiawatha Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) I just got the Armada Flagship 100% complete plus extra pirates and a rowboat for $48.00 (when the set came out it was $50.00) Edited October 2, 2011 by Hiawatha
legocanuck Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Complete Battle of Alamut for $35. Layed out all the pieces and compared it to the Kings' carriage which was $50 and I have to say the $35 was a steal :)
Follows Closely Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 My buddy picked up all 5 modulars for $50 each. I am so jealous, as it included market street.
Roger Rabbit Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 My buddy picked up all 5 modulars for $50 each. I am so jealous, as it included market street. ?!!?

I got my hands on Creator Street speeder 6743 for 6 euro each, I cleared them out of the 6 they had. Also fire pickup and trailer for 4.50 euro Police helicopter 4.50 euro Police bike 2.50 euro Robbie
Darth Nihilus Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Went to my local WalMart today, found this: Glove World $15 Imperial V-Wing $15 Heroic Heroes of the Deep $15 Battle of Naboo $15 Those were all steals. Glad I went to Walmart today.
Stormer13 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Ebay what a win last night wookie catamaran £26!! included luminia yoda and wookie warrior but missing 2 clones and chewie everything else was there tho
Mr Spielbrick Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Today, I strolled into the local Intertoys (a Dutch toy shop chain). Lo and behold, they'd marked the Scorpion Pyramid from Pharaoh Quest down from 110 to 80 euros. Aaaand: there was a 10 percent discount on all LEGO items. So I scored the complete set for only 72 euros! Needless to say, I'm content as a cucumber.
Sid Sidious Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I found the PoTC Cannibal Escape at Target for $20.99 (MSRP $29.99). This was when it had just came out too. I saw a sign on the shelf saying the set was $20.99, but i couldn't find the set. I came back a few minutes later and found one left. I think someone returned it to the shelf shortly after wandered away.
fyrmedhatt Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I think I've just gotten the 3677 Red Cargo Train for $66. I bought it from TRU during last saturdays BOGO50 sale, and I was getting both 3677 and the passenger train for $211 after the discount and the $10 coupon as in-store pickup at my local location. Now the TRU didn't have the passenger train in stock, so they basically gave me the cargo train for an insanely discounted price (almost $100 off!), and according to the customer representative, the order for the passenger train was cancelled.
Edmond Dantes Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I purchased 90 polybags yesterday at Target for $0.39 apiece. 51 ninjas, 21 fire helicopters and 18 Atlantis subs. I left plenty of helicopters for someone else...
The_Customizer Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I purchased 90 polybags yesterday at Target for $0.39 apiece. 51 ninjas, 21 fire helicopters and 18 Atlantis subs. I left plenty of helicopters for someone else... $0.39? Wow! I found them for $1.19, and picked up about 30, but $0.39? That is a real steal!
mostlytechnic Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Yep, I got them for 39 cents too. Found about 100 - mostly the helicopter, a bunch of the atlantis diver, and a few ninjagos.

I just went looking for 5 sets for stocking stuffer's. The cashier said some guy just purchases them all, a few hundred of them
