Just last weekend at a garage sale, I picked up several bags of Legos for my son, but for my resale to continue my habit, picked up a 7623 IJ Temple Escape, 7781 Two Face Escape, and 7782 Batwing/Joker's Aerial Assault, all for $20! 7781 wasn't complete, and missing figs, but still an amazing deal.

Last year at another garage sale, picked up a bin of Legos that included 7623 Temple Escape, 4502 X-wing, and 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina, also for $20.

Updating my sale finds, last weekend picked up Airport 7894 for $2.

My wife got the Hogwarts castle for $60 at Kmart. It was selling for $150 before clearance. She was excited enough to let me buy a new X-Wing!!! Good day! :sweet:

Got another high priced lot ($500 for about 90lbs.). It was loaded though with Star Wars, Batman, etc. The woman who sold it also kept all of the instructions organized in file folders as well. They seem to be complete for the most part. My fingers are raw from disassembling and organizing but that's the fun part before attempting to build all of them. Also picked up a mini Star Destroyer in the bubble packaging brand new for $4 at a flea market.

I wanted to ask if you think I got a good deal.

I found set 565 at a garage sale on Sunday for 8 dollars. It was complete with instructions and a box in very nice condition. It was only missing a clear 1 x 1 round brick. The bricks had great clutch power and had absolutely no dust. The sticker sheet was partially used. Did I get a good deal?

Many years ago; at a school fete my dad got two massive boxes of lego for about £1 or £2, it had loads of classic lego in, some old space and baseplates and (but they were in bad condition I can only guess they were thrown away) obviously some wolfpack, blacktron, classic space, I think some Aquashark sets were in there, and some other ones. But this was like the early 2000's. I could only find those minifigs, the rest was random lego pretty much. So, yeah.:sweet:

Pretty good, considering the same set used missing one piece on BL is $30

:classic: I got Hogwarts Castle (Prisoner of Azkiban with Clock tower) at Toys'r'us for £50 about 3 years back- I was soo excited because it was a battered box (and thus negotiated down the price) and obviously no longer being made. It now sits with 2010 Hogwarts and 2012 hogwarts and looks rather good :classic:

Doesn't seem as good as some of your ones but to me, it was the best deal ever

I always read new posts on this thread thinking if only... When ever I see second hand Lego around here it always seems to be priced 'correctly' in that there are rarely bargins to be had.

However last night on a Facebook selling page I came across this picture

552163_203796166401451_100003132086852_333890_321398764_n.jpg

Advertised for sale for £25. The only info was that there was a Harry Potter set in amongst the bricks.

I obviously bought it and picked up the bricks this afternoon.

I am still in the process of sorting to see what is there/missing but this is what I think I have so far

4709 - Hogwarts Castle (version 1)

1374 - Green Goblin

6709 - Tribal Chief

plus I seem to have Yoda, Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, from Episode 1, not sure what set would have that lot in.

So not a bad haul at all, quite pleased :classic:

^If you're outside the USA you should contact the seller now to see if he's willing to ship internationally. Sellers sometimes make exceptions and it wouldn't hurt to try...

theres 46 on ebay going for 456 dollars

It ended up selling for $666.66! (Nobody mention the devil's number, I don't want a religious debate.)

I'm only assuming this is the same lot, but how many people are selling 46 cypress trees on eBay lately?

Don't forget the auction ended on Friday the 13th...

At $14.50 per like-new tree, the buyer got a good deal.
