That is super! Where did you find such a deal? Those sets may have been half baked but for 15$s...

I second that! Please share!

be the first guy to walk in to a Lego store in the morning, usually you can find something nice.

I actually just got a pretty good deal from craigslist again, I got 5 (smaller) boxes of legos, 3 city sets a technic set and a racer car for 20 dollars.

Heres what i got exactly.

7737 City Coast Gaurd 4WD and Jet Scooter

7736 City Coast Guard Quad Bike

7741 Ciy Police Helicopter

8120 Racer

8290 Technic Mini Forklift

Not to shabby for just 20 dollars. I feel bad for all the lego fans in Orange County because i am getting to all the good lego buys on CL first :p

Legoist, where have you made those lucky finds in Finland? Seems that real supersales are very very rare here. Many of the big shops have said that they never set bigger discounts than 30% on Lego, which is very sad. Last time was few days ago when there was a huge sign that said something like "Cheap Lego sets!". In fact the prices were reduced about 20% maximum. For example, the new Gas Station was "discounted" to 29

Ah well, i can't remember if i posted here or not yet but over the years, here's some highlights.

7ish UCS X-wings for $50-160NZD varying from incomplete to MISB. Most of these were to swap for other sets i wanted, as this is a classic most people missed out on.

A MISB Space set from the 1970's (a BETA-2 command base or something?) for $30NZD which later on got sold on eBay for $415US :cry_happy:

a 375 Yellow castle good cond w/box for $60NZD

6 7661 Jedi starfighter w/boosters for $56NZD ea

And all sorts of stuff... :classic:

I just got an offer from karstadt, to spend more than 250 Euro and get 50 Euro off. So I went to their website and to the Lego section and found some nice sets, that were already on sale. The email said not to combine with other priceactions, but it still worked to gether, so I got 7 sets deadly cheap today :D

7774 U-Boot und Riesenkrebs 23,00

7775 Aqua-Basisstation 30,00

7773 Tigerhai 12,00

8019 Republic Attack Shuttleâ„¢ 59,99

7094 Große Königsburg 59,00

7632 Raupenkran 39,99

7997 Bahnhof 37,99

the aquanauts sets are dead cheap anyway and the other sets prices are okay, so this all together is around 265 Euro and I had to pay 215 because of that bonus, so I think that's damn lucky :D

here is the website, if anywone wants some cheap aquasets :)

http://www.karstadt.de/LEGO-Aqua-Raiders/k...&kid=870407

dont know if they ship elsewhere but germany though..

It's ok, almost forgot that I even asked.

Yep, seems that Lego discounts are quite occasional here. Some day I almost started a blog where to post found discounts but it never got further... Still I think there's a need for such thing.

Totally.

That's a scary coincidence... I created a wiki one year ago with a comparison list of all current Lego sets prices in Tampere shops. After a couple of months I felt a bit stupid, thought no one else was ever going to use that wiki, and deleted the whole thing :sadnew:

Best deal I ever made was, when I bought at Ebay.com 6399 MISB for 220 USD, in 2007. I bought some sets from a guy working for TLC for 20 years. I asked him, if he has anything else, he sent me a list of many interesting sets, and the best one was, 6399 for 220 USD. You can imagine, how happy I was.

Got the old Naboo Starfighter (MISB) for £2. :cry_happy: The box was damaged slightely at the corners, but apart from that it was fine.

Greetings,

JD

At one of my favorite resale shops they sometimes get in LEGO stuff from Target. Sometimes it's overstock, sometimes damaged, and sometimes it's new stuff that just appears. In the past I got the mars Mission base for 25 bucks, and 95% complete MTT for the same. I also picked up a pair of Anakin's starfighters for 7 bucks each.

Today I found Power Miners Thunder Driller for $12.50. The Box was mangled like it had been run over by a forklift, but all the bags were intact so I got it. I'm not Power Miners' biggest fan, but It really is a neat set with some great functionality.

Where did you get it for that cheap?

Charity Shop.

During my lunch hour today, I stopped by Target and found an IJ and the Lost Tomb on the clearance shelf for $9.74.

  • 3 weeks later...

I just got the UCS Naboo Fighter on Ebay for 30 USD, 40 counting shipping. Should go well with my collection :p

Last year i picked up:

2 Indy Jungle cutters

1 Indy Temple Escape

1 Temple of Aktor

All 1/2 Price :cry_happy:

Also, i got a big bin of sets from a mate that's 'too old for lego' for only $40NZ... Around $200 worth in there

Last year? I assume you mean some other time, because that is a while! Nice finds! Whats in the bin?

I got these two bins full of Lego today:

A quick look through reveals a bunch of UFO, Technic, Model Team, Town, Star Wars, and Pirates sets. A few things of note are the Boba Fett piece, two pairs of this door (Both left and right) 4-5 other pairs of car doors, Pirate sails, parts from this set and the hull to this boat. The money is going to charity, so I'm thinking about paying a little extra.

I agree. The woman (Family friend, organizing this garage sale for charity), said that there's more on the way :sweet: .

Urm... I live in the UK and you in the US. I got it in an Age Concern down my local highstreet for £2.

Check out what I found at a yard sale. I found over 200 star wars bricks, with about 18 star wars minifigs including darth vader, luke skywalker, clone troopers and stormtroopers. It also came with a complete rebel scout vehicle. It also came with half of general grevious's ship and 2 town minifigs. I got it all for...... don don don.... 5.00. That is it. All those star wars minifigs could have sold for at least 100 USD on ebay. But most of the minifigs were scattered around the entire yard sale. So it pays to look through bins and stuff.

I also found a giant trash can of lego with over 40 minifigs at a church sale for 15 USD. Oh yeah.

OMG!

*feeling sick of envy*

*rushing to old-paper-bin, going through the local adds for car boot sales*

You ARE the KING!
