Then he follow the rest of the heroes to the ship to search it. Quote
The Legonater Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 P.S. Thalion should have a nice, round, 20 power now that he is level 15... QM Note: I fixed the power, health, and ether for everyone now. Quote

Then he follow the rest of the heroes to the ship to search it. "You are very welcome." Thalion looked at the weapon for a moment, "Actually I think our knight here can use this sword as easily as Sarge." He looked at it some more, "With a bit of training, I think even I could wield it..." OOC: No offence, but I would rather give it to someone who will use it... So Brickington, if you take it, would you mind giving your other weapons to Sarge and Alexander (so they can sell them later as a way compensate them)? Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Ooc: He can keep his weapons, He'll have more need for the gold than me! "Let's get to searching their hull then!" Quote
The Legonater Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 QM Note: If you guys are finished up, I'll move things forward. As you search the hull, you eventually discover the cargo hold. Inside is a shining treasure chest, tied up to a rope that trails into the darkness. Quote

He turns and speaks to Sarge, "Sarge, would you mind trying to cut that rope before we attempt to open the chest? Everyone else, stay alert." OOC: It's OK, I edited the post with what I wanted to do in the start and gave cutlass to Brickington, I think he can put it to good use. Quote
Wedge09 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 (edited) "I'm for following the trails and after taking the chest to the superior deck and open it." says Alexander seeing the shining treasure chest then, at Thalion's words, Alexande prepares himself for an eventually upcoming battle. Pyrovisionary Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 "Cutting the rope might set off the trap. So everyone get ready." Sarge slices through the rope but does not let it go, keeping it at the same point as before. then opens the chest with his other hand. Quote
The Legonater Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 (edited) Cautiously, Sarge bends down, scissors in hand. Slowly, he slices through the old rope. The Heroes wait impatiently, hearing nothing but the creaking of the floorboards as the ship eases back and forth on the waves. Something sounds behind them. They turn around, weapons drawn, ready to face the danger rapidly approaching. They are disappointed to find it is only a rat which returns into the shadows. It would appear that cutting the rope disabled the trap. The Heroes put down their weapons and open the chest. Loot: Mithril Shard (1/4 of a piece of Mithril) 50 Gold Lucky Stone (When applied to weapon, for one battle that weapon will give the Jinxed affect to all enemies it hits. -obelix- Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 "I'll have that cutlass, master Thalion." OOC: You already got it, I updated the earlier post, but no matter, lets roleplay! Thalion takes the cutlass and hands it to Brickington, "Here you go. Hope it serves you well! Also you should take this..." Thalion hands him 10 gold from the chest they opened. He turns to Sarge, "As it was your idea to come here and search, I think you should have this." He hands Sarge a Mithril Shard. "Also, I think you should get this as well, as I think you could use it better then the rest of us." He tosses Sarge the Lucky Stone. He gives 20 gold to Alexander, and keeps 20 gold to himself. After the loot is distributed he opens up and reads captain's log... Quote
The Legonater Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 Thalion reads the last log the captain has made, which was only a matter of days ago. Well, blow me down and shiver me timbers, those assassins pay well. Aye, no questions asked indeed. My scallywags and I are shipping out of Newharbour now to find and kill those no-good heroes. Harr, it'll be fun to do some hurt to the group that has caused so much trouble. I'll be sure my parrot tweets my success across the High Kingdom. Newharbour? What would they have to do with this? Quote
Brickington Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 "I'm too good at geography, where's Newhabour? Anyone got a map?" Quote
-obelix- Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Newharbour? What would they have to do with this? "What is this about Newharbour, Aves?" Quote
The Legonater Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 I don't have a map on me, but I'm sure your Library has a map which has Newharbour on it. Either way, it's one of the most important trading posts in the High Kingdoms, and we were supposed to be shipping off there. It's strange to hear these pirates came from there, however, it would indicate something deeper going on. Newharbour has always been more focused on business, but I can't think of anyone there who would care about the affairs of Duplovia and Delfrin. I think we should risk setting sail for the coast nearby instead of the city directly, though - we don't want to stir up too much trouble, if that's fine with you. Quote
Brickington Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 "Well perhaps NewHabour doesn't want the conflict to end. The less your two kingdoms are successful, the more successful NewHabour will be. It means less competition." Quote
-obelix- Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 (edited) "I am with you on that Aves. It would be best to enter the city as inconspicuously as we can, and try to maintain a low profile until we get to the bottom of this. I am sure others agree on that." Thalion turns, and looks at the party. "Lets get back on our ship, and continue." "Well perhaps NewHabour doesn't want the conflict to end. The less your two kingdoms are successful, the more successful NewHabour will be. It means less competition." "You could be right sir Brickington. Still, we should investigate and find out why would they want to do that." Edited April 21, 2013 by -obelix- Quote
