The Legonater Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 We'll see what we can do. Meanwhile, I check the wall adjacent to 203 to see: A How thin the wall is, and B if there is any way to get through the wall.
Waterbrick Down Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Dyric determines that if the party had had a pickax they could go through the wall.
posades Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 "Should we continue on our way? As we go through the inn, we might uncover more clues as to this supposed spook, and perhaps find a pickax we could use on this wall."
The Legonater Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Spengmore, would you happen to have a pickaxe in here?
CorneliusMurdock Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Party would be glad to help if party stumbles across bad ghost. Cronk hopes that friendly ghosts can find peace. What can ghosts tell party about Crube?
Waterbrick Down Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 "He mostly goes out at night, but sometimes goes out at day usually wearing a hood. He's something of a loner, doesn't get many visitors. I don't think he and the owner of the inn were on very good terms. He's always tinkering away in there it sounds like and his is the only room we can't materialize into, Stanman thinks he's crafted some sort of etherial jamming device."
Chromeknight Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 (edited) Thank you for the meal. Well boys, shall we head upstairs and continue collecting the rents? Edited May 7, 2013 by Chromeknight
CorneliusMurdock Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Well boys, shall we head upstairs and continue collecting the rents?[/color] Yes. Cronk is not sure that using pickaxe on wall is good idea anyway. Owner may not be happy about large hole in wall...
Chromeknight Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 We will see you gentlemen later. Nerwen leaves the room and looks for the stairs to the third floor.
Waterbrick Down Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Nerwen has no issues finding the set of stairs to the third floor and makes her way to the East Wing.
The Legonater Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I say check 301, or see if there's a way down into 203 through 303. I'd personally like to leave that to the end.
Waterbrick Down Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 Dyric raps on the door to 301 but there is no reply.
The Legonater Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Not this again. I check if the door is locked. Heroes of Heroica! Open up, please.
Waterbrick Down Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 There is no answer to Dyric's call, however the door is found to be unlocked.
The Legonater Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I open the door, notching an arrow. Hello? We don't mean any harm. We were hired by Mr. Hinckwell to keep you up with your debts.
Waterbrick Down Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 Dyric slowly pushes the door open and looks inside.
The Legonater Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 If I were to guess, I'd say this contraption had something to do with all this. I examine said contraption.
Waterbrick Down Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 Dyric can see that each gem is stuck fast in its respective pedestal. Light through the open window dances across the surface of the diamond scattering a myriad of colors across the floor some even reflecting upon the surface of the breast plate. Directly across from the faun, 3 gems are recessed into the wall.
posades Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Xander inspects the gems that are recessed into the wall.
Waterbrick Down Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 From closest to the window to furthest away, Xander identifies a Ruby, a Saphire, and an Emerald.
Chromeknight Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Nerwen angles the diamond so the diffracted light shines across the gems on the wall, from the red ruby to the blue sapphire next to it. She then uses the shiny reflective breastplate to bounce the green light from the middle of the spectrum across to the green emerald.
CorneliusMurdock Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Well, that is something Cronk does not see everyday. Are posts firmly connected into floor?
