"He mostly goes out at night, but sometimes goes out at day usually wearing a hood. He's something of a loner, doesn't get many visitors. I don't think he and the owner of the inn were on very good terms. He's always tinkering away in there it sounds like and his is the only room we can't materialize into, Stanman thinks he's crafted some sort of etherial jamming device."

Yes. Cronk is not sure that using pickaxe on wall is good idea anyway. Owner may not be happy about large hole in wall...

Nerwen leaves the room and looks for the stairs to the third floor.

Nerwen has no issues finding the set of stairs to the third floor and makes her way to the East Wing.

I say check 301, or see if there's a way down into 203 through 303. I'd personally like to leave that to the end.

Dyric raps on the door to 301 but there is no reply.

I check if the door is locked.

There is no answer to Dyric's call, however the door is found to be unlocked.

I open the door, notching an arrow.

Hello? We don't mean any harm. We were hired by Mr. Hinckwell to keep you up with your debts.

Dyric slowly pushes the door open and looks inside.

I move to examine the state of the faun.

The faun appears to be made of stone.

If I were to guess, I'd say this contraption had something to do with all this.

I examine said contraption.

Dyric can see that each gem is stuck fast in its respective pedestal. Light through the open window dances across the surface of the diamond scattering a myriad of colors across the floor some even reflecting upon the surface of the breast plate. Directly across from the faun, 3 gems are recessed into the wall.

Xander inspects the gems that are recessed into the wall.

From closest to the window to furthest away, Xander identifies a Ruby, a Saphire, and an Emerald.

Nerwen angles the diamond so the diffracted light shines across the gems on the wall, from the red ruby to the blue sapphire next to it. She then uses the shiny reflective breastplate to bounce the green light from the middle of the spectrum across to the green emerald.
