CorneliusMurdock Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Goodbye. Cronk thanks faun for being friendly. OoC: I'm at Brickworld now. Not sure how much time I'll have to check in the next few days. If I'm holding up the quest, someone can control Cronk's actions. PS: WBD- if you make it to the public days again, introduce yourself this time.
Waterbrick Down Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) The Party moves on to room 304. Their knock on the door is answered by a Rockling. "Hello?" Edited June 13, 2013 by Waterbrick Down
The Legonater Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Greetings! We're Heroes of Heroica, hired to help catch people up on their debts. I actually don't think you owe anything, but we've been more-or-less on the lookout for a ghost, and as you're the last room, it stands to reason that you know something about. Or perhaps the ghost was just a red herring, and really not relevant to anything. In that case, though, this room would really seem pointless unless there's some kind of puzzle inside. Um. So yeah. What's up?
Waterbrick Down Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) The Rockling stands there confusedly. "You're looking for a fishy ghost who plays with jigsaw toys?" Edited June 13, 2013 by Waterbrick Down
The Legonater Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 A ghost, yes. As to how fishy or otherwise suspicious it is, we don't know for certain. If it has been seen with toys, that would be a useful lead.
Waterbrick Down Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 "Nope haven't seen him. You sure you're alright? Looking for ghosts playing with children's toys is a mighty strange thing."
The Legonater Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 You haven't seen any ghosts at all? Or heard anything about ghosts? Rumors?
Waterbrick Down Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 "Not a thing, though I don't think being blind and half deaf helps with anything..."
Chromeknight Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Pardon, were you familiar with the previous owner, Mr. Krook?
Waterbrick Down Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 "Krook, yes. Nice chap. Shame isn't it?"
Chromeknight Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Yes, it is. We have heard some different accounts of what happened. Do you know anything about the incident?
Waterbrick Down Posted June 15, 2013 Author Posted June 15, 2013 "Well I'll tell you. I was laying in my bed that night sound asleep. And while I might be a tad deaf, I sure heard that scream. I jumped straight out of bed headed to the stairs and listened for nearly 10 minutes thinking something was the matter. As I didn't hear or see any more commotion, I figured it was just some poor critter being slaughtered for someone's dinner outside and so I went back to bed."
Chromeknight Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Thats helpful. My companions are rendered speechless by that news. Thank you for your time. Nerwen prods Dyric and points at the ceiling, indicating they should head to the penthouse.
The Legonater Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 I briefly consider crashing through the ceiling before deciding to just ascend the stairs to the penthouse instead.
Waterbrick Down Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 The party ascends to the penthouse and come to a locked door.
The Legonater Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Great, we have to break through again. I examine the door for locks.
Waterbrick Down Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Dyric, observes that the lock is dwarven made and would not be broken easily.
The Legonater Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Does the lock need a key, or does it have a code than can be deciphered?
