robuko Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I really love the vibrancy of colour in the Kaliphlin scene. Way to go! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Tremendous work on the Kaliphlin scene, the bright colors work surprisingly well and the tower is gorgeous Wonderful textures on the skull point build and it looks like a very fitting home for a wizard Quote
Gideon Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Really nice builds, all of them! Of course I like the Kaliphlin one best, that must be the most colorful Kaliphlin build yet but with a balance that's not hard on the eye but just plain joy to watch! And good story as well Quote
kabel Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 amazing stuff there capt, I hope this finally earns you the badge you've been waiting for so long. You'd deserve it! Quote
Mike S Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Lots of great stuff here but my favorite is the Kaliphlin build! Just gotta love the colors there. The wizard's tower is brilliant too and I like the horn/skull combo for the roof. Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 That's a ton of skulls! The yellow cutesy bird on top of the dark bone covered house is very contrasting. Quote
Maxim I Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 !FIRST POST UPDATED! Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment. @DM It's a brand of dog food here in America. I really should check out my names in the future :) But now I know, it is indeed a great joke of you! :) Again some excellent (and very colourfull) MOC's you posted!!! Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Thanks again everyone. The Kaliphlin build was a nice change of pace for me. I plan to build more Kali scenes in the future. Quote
Jason Cicchini Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Dude. Amazing! I was so excited for these last few days of the competition, because I knew yours would come flying in like a bomb. Fantastic details, and that dark fortress is crazily, insanely great! Quote
robuko Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) amazing stuff there capt, I hope this finally earns you the badge you've been waiting for so long. You'd deserve it! Oh man, you've so earned it! now the third build is up, I can say wow! You really surprised me with that video game ending! Very cool. The Kaliphlin build was a nice change of pace for me. I plan to build more Kali scenes in the future. Yes please! Your twisted lunatic blood-drinking emissaries are always welcome at the PGTC's oversaturated polychromatic guest houses! MikeyB Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 GReat stuff Beery! it was great seeing these evolve and I think you nailed each one! I always love seeing your stuff and can't wait to see what you have planned for us next! Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Now that is is finished, I have to say I LOVE skull point. So much cool work there. I am not a huge bionicle guy, but I do love the Legion/Omega dude. He looks so fierce! Quote
Kayne Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Wow, this might be my favorite to this point! The builds are just breathtaking. You should have joined Kaliphlin, because that build is wonderful...but then again Skull's Point shows that Nocturnus would have benefitted from your great builds as well. Great job man! Quote
Rogue Angel Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Wow! So many great builds. I LOVE your house with the interior build. The roof coloring is perfect, and the woodwork around the windows is superb! The use of the mallets is genius, and I love the foot stool on the 2nd floor. Of course I love the meeting of the Avalonian Lords as well. I also really like the color combination for the Kaliphlin build. The green is not your standard Kaliphlin color, but it goes very well with the earth orange and the sand green. The mage's keep is excellent and I love the innovative use of the Mech-Zakon. Your foliage is superb, as usual, and I really enjoyed your story. Awesome Entry! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 This is certainly your best work yet. The colors in the Kaliphlin moc are so well matched and the Skull Point moc is just outstanding. Most of the times it's the foliage that stands out but now the stonework does. Also nice touch of the skull in the rocks. (Not that big fan of the use of the Hero parts but that's just taste.) The story is also well written and I love the funny parts like the thumbs of Brickinton and: Zakon: My visions haven't been very clear as of late. Overall great stuff! Quote
Gunman Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 great mocs man :) i realy like kaliphlin build and the one with the skulls!! Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Thanks, again. I appreciate everyone taking the time to comment. As far as badges go, I got Nu Breed. What can I get better than that? Now I just have to outdo myself. I hate the idea of that. It's going to be hard. Quote
Infernum Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Wow! Amazing work! I love the Kaliphlin scene! The Skull Point is also great! I really love the colors you've been using in these MOCs! Great work BB! Quote
Erynlasgalen Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I really love the colors you used for the Kaliphlin build. Great idea to use a darker background since it really makes the colors pop more and have more vibrancy. Reminds me of small town in Mexico somewhere. Great work! Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Thanks again! The Kali scene was a pleasure. @Erynlasgalen I see what you mean. I should have had some headless handcuffed minifigs in the scene. I didn't realize the barbaric savagery my scene portrays. Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I should have had some headless handcuffed minifigs in the scene. I didn't realize the barbaric savagery my scene portrays. We need to get Beery to make a few scenes in Nocturnus, the darker side of your MOCs would really shine there! Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 I got a freebuild or two in me. I'll see what I can do. I think I have a good idea started in my mind and just got a ton of bricks organized. Maybe in the next week something will materialize. Quote
Rolli Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Very nice entry, Captain! I still don't like the usage of my precious cheese slopes on the sides of your roofs but I will turn a blind eye on that - again Apart from that The Lion's Den is stunning. Love the discolored roof and walls and the usage of the judge's hammer as decorations! Nice door arch as well. Your Kaliphinian tower is just awesome, insane and creative color usage, it is brilliant how all the green and tan goes together. I don't like the orange building next to it too much as its too colorful but the scene is just lovely. Good luck! Quote
