Nyx grins mischievously as Larry offers his handkerchief; clearly he hadn't notice her catch the pie, rather than wear it. Still smiling, she smooshes the pie into his face and giggles, preparing to catch any more pies that might fly into the audience.

The crowd applauds and hoots to the heroes' act. The jesters stand aside, perplexed about Nyx and Boomingham taking over their limelight.

The pie that Boomingham gets on his face is nothing but tasty.

Arthur salutes. "Oh, good, you're here. Reporting! Sir, my Magic Compass indicates that Steerpike is currently somewhere to the East of the Theatre, sir." Arthur demonstrates the Magic Compass for Lt. Serevan. "Also, we were attacked by some kind of black rider, the 'Dark Night' and its steed the 'Night Mare'. They were unsuccessful, but it is my professional opinion that it was a magical summon of some kind. They carried these." Arthur shows Lt. Serevan the Unlucky Horseshoe and Sorrow's Night's Helmet. "Gladstone appears to be all right at his post, as well. Is there anything we can do for you?"

The lieutenant looks at the items, but cannot make heads or tails of them. He's too proud to admit it, though.

"Good job, fellows! Carry on eliminating any threats that might appear. I shall turn my patrol towards the east."

The patrol disappears into the street at the end of the alleyway. The cat meows loudly, almost demandingly, and then skits towards west. Will the party follow?

Nyx curtseys elaborately before the applauding crowd, still grinning widely and taking care to hold onto the two new pies she's acquired.

With a couple of twirls and a lot of giggling she smooshes the pies into the jesters faces, playing up to the audience with winks and waggles of her eyebrows as she does so.

While walking, he again uses his Magic Compass to see if the cat was leading him to Violetta.

The Paladin walks towards the golum. "Is there anywhere that I can wash up a bit?"

"What I wouldn't give for a proper Ranger at this point..." Arthur mutters. He looks around, trying to determine what the building is and, if it is a business, what it is called. He attempts to locate a window and, after using his Magnifying Glass to look for traps, he looks inside without entering.

Arthur detects no traps. The house seems to be an abandoned residence. Peeking inside from a window, Arthur sees that there's no furniture inside. The black cat is standing on a staircase, staring right at Arthur.

The Paladin walks towards the golum. "Is there anywhere that I can wash up a bit?"

"No. Use this towel. And stop acting like a drunken fool. A man of your age and position."

The stern golem hands Boomingham a white cloth.

Boomingham wipes his face off. "I didn't throw the pie," he argues before handing the cloth back. He makes his way back over to the Shadeaux table and addresses the deathly looking patriarch of the family. "Congratulations on your daughter's betrothal. You must be very pleased. It is always smart to solidify power. I am interested how you and the head of the Hinckwells managed to come up with this match. I've heard on the streets that the two of you have been at odds in the past."

Boomingham smiles too at the father. "Intelligence and ambition are two traits that I have an easy time respecting. You and Mr. Hinckwell made a good choice in joining your families. I am glad that it was done for love, as well." Boomingham gives a critical look to Bellanotte. "I am married as well, my dearest. From a very young age, and in an arranged situation. It is not an easy path, but it is worth it. Love has the power to change you for the better, even if it is painful. I wish you and your future husband the best." Boomingham glances up at Nyx on the stage. "Do not forget that there is more than one type of love, either, mademoiselle. You and your future husband are very important to the future of Eubric. Do not fall out of love."

"Chasing that cat down isn't worth it. - it reeks of a trap."

All units, be advised, my tools have indicated that both Violetta the Cat Burglar AND Steerpike the Poisoner have left their ordinary sphere of protection and are now located to the East of the Theater. More known Wolfgang members may be on their way to rendezvous with Violetta and Steerpike.

Arthur addresses the first to Lieutenant Serevan. He feels a momentary twinge of annoyance, but he shakes it off. The job is more important. "I've got Z-mail."

He then addresses his next letter to Captain Patricia.

Please be advised, my tools have indicated that both Violetta the Cat Burglar AND Steerpike the Poisoner have left their ordinary sphere of protection and are now located to the East of the Theater. More known Wolfgang members may be on their way to rendezvous with Violetta and Steerpike.

Additionally, a suspicious cat is attempting to lead me away from my post. It has traveled to an abandoned residence across the street from the alleyway we are guarding. We know that Violetta has worked with trained cats before. Do you wish one of our group to engage the cat alone? If not, would it be possible to send a Watchman to investigate? In either event, two Heroes would still remain on guard at the door. I defer to your decision.

"Grimwald we'll make it through, you should try again to scroll him, heal or use potion little later, we don't want Wiener to confuse us for now , it seems you can stand it right now, we have to get rid of them" The mere thought of his party member down made Arnulf feel bad, but he had hope that he and Grimwald will make it through. He never was a never thrown to be a leader, it seemed awkward to him. He wished some of more expirienced heroes were there. The choice was Kiray's but Arnulf felt he didn't warned her in time.

While Arthur is away writing letters, a shady group runs towards the backdoor from the east. Recognizing the Wolfgang insignia, Nagure and Sorrow draw their weapons, but they are severly overpowered. In Arthur's absence, Sorrow has no choice but to take charge, since the yeti is not much of a thinker.

I draw my arrow, remaining calm in the face of the group of Wolfgang goons.

"Okay, Nagure, taking down these jokers should be easy enough. We have three actions and I take 1 damage from any of these goon's free hits - you take 0. The main 3 we'll be targetting can hardly even harm us - their specils don't harm us, and our SP will deflect their blows. One good assassination and we sweep these fools right off their feet."

I turn away from the yeti and draw an arrow stepping back and standing in front of the door. I taunt the wolfgang as I prepare for the coming skirmish:
