Boomingham meditates to regain ether. Thothwick pricks the Cosmosaur arrogantly, stealing all of the Cosmic Essences it carries. Unfortunately even Barty cannot block the damage done by Chaosaur's aura, and Cosmosaur's aura negates all the damage the heroes did to the monsters. They were in dire need of some extra manpower... Everyone, post your actions and targets. I wince as I hear both Yasmar and the... dinosaurs...? scream at the same time. "Unless Bilbert likes to keep reptiles as a pet, I'm willing to bet that these dinos and the demonic food are from the same source. What the source is, we don't know. We'll have o talk to other heroes for that one." "I heard dinosaur meat is deicious - " I ready my bow. "Why don't we make a meal of some prehistoric megablocks, sir?" "Dinosaur meat, you say? Hmm, I wonder if it would go well with some sage and cloudberry...? What the hell, let's go find out!" The gigantic chef crawls through the doorway, and leads the party to the ballroom, where Captain Patricia and her men are escorting the guests out while the rest of the heroes fight two dinosaurs on the stage. "Uh, you'll do the killing, I'll handle the rest once you've finished." "Go figure!" Phoebe says, rolling her eyes. Lieutenant Serevan spots the newcomers. "Hey, you lot! What took you so long? Go on, help your companions up there - if you have what it takes. It looks like those beasts are serious business." The rest of the heroes can now join the battle if they wish.
Endgame Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 (edited) "On it, Serevan." I throw open the Kitchen's double doors and sprint through, finding myself in the awe-inspiring theatre. The bodies of the houses are scattereds throughout the room, aching and groaning. Although the giant theatre was normally a place for entertainment, with the howling dinosaurs it was more like a colloseum. I nod at my other heroes. Questions about their specials: The Chaosaur's negative effects are spread among the party, and one of each is casted, correct? Also, if I roll Special Damage against the Cosmosaur, all enemies are going to be Encouraged/Hastened/Lucky/Blessed? "The cavalry doth arrive. Lady Nyx and Thothwick, was it?" The primordial lizards continue to hiss and roar. "There isn't a better place to meet then on the battlefield, I suppose." Chaosaur, twice, back. Edited May 25, 2013 by Endgame
Zepher Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 (edited) Boomingham spins around to see the other heroes arriving. He nods thankfully at Sorrow and Nagure. "Glad to see you're all alive. Let's finish this quickly. Sorrow, lead the green boys and girl against that Chaosaur, Nagure, you're with us. We need to take this pink chap out quickly or this will go on forever." Endgame Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Sandy, how did the Chaosaur recover from stun and attack at the same time? "I don't want even to touch that Cosmosaur until it is jinxed and stunned. If I make a misstep I would doom us all..." "Boomingham, where did these bloody dinosaurs come from?"
Zepher Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 "The boy sealed it, it won't be able to do anything to you. These... dinosaurs, I guess... came from our dearest singer. I can't say you missed much on that front. Song wasn't too good."
Endgame Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 "Ah, in that case!" I attack Cosmosaur, twice. "Killed purple today already, might as well go for pink next..." I mutter. "Boomingham, Donny and Violetta are dead. They tried to get us to enlist, and we ended up being the ones to end them... I assume you did the same to Steerpike?" "Yes, I heard a few notes... ghastly. What'd it do?" I gesture the moaning bodies piled around us. "Must've been some cacophony to do this."

Also, if I roll Special Damage against the Cosmosaur, all enemies are going to be Encouraged/Hastened/Lucky/Blessed? QM Note: Yes to both. And if you roll Special Damage against Cosmosaur, you will lose all your positive effects. Sandy, how did the Chaosaur recover from stun and attack at the same time? QM Note: It didn't. That was just a remnant of last round I forgot to edit out...

I assume you did the same to Steerpike?" "Good to hear. I had no doubt you'd pull through along with our biggest friend. Can't say I met Donny or Violetta personally, but from the little I've heard, it sounds like we're better off with them this way." "With the weaker Heroes present here, might I suggest we take out the Chaosaur first?" "Too much work. Destroy the foundation and the top will crumble. With the pink chap supporting its darker counterpart, there's no way we'd be able to take them both out in time anyway." "Lord Boomingham, is Lady Nyx all right? She seems awfully quiet..." Boomingham glances over at Nyx and grins. "Nyx- er, Lady Nyx sometimes gets a little caught up in the battle and forgets to chat with the rest of us. She's a smasher, not a commander. But she's damn good at what she does."

Costy Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I repeat. (Chomosaur from the front row, twice.) "These things are tough"
Endgame Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 "This is going nowhere far too fast for my liking." I use a Nostrum on Nagure and Nyx. "Nyx, one spellblade with you being encouraged and you do a ton (272) of damage. Nagure rally us all with yor war cries, all right?"
Professor Flitwick Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Thothwick repeats his action. OoC: Talkative bunch, aren't we?
Shoker86 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 "What the hell happened here, Sterpike, is he dead?" Arnulf asked, still confused from punches he took.
Pandora Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Nyx looks around distractedly. "Hmm? Oh, hi guys, good to see you all here. Isn't it a pretty pink colour?" she gestures towards the dinosaur "I wonder if it bleeds red, because it would clash horribly if it did, but I guess there's only one way to find out, we can cut it open! Oh, yes it was that awful Barbariccia's singing that did this; sounded like someone strangling a cat, although apparently that might be because you actually were strangling a cat. Anyway, let's all have some fun shall we? " Nyx rubs at her shoulders where the dinosaur had managed to get some lucky hits in. She stuffs her scroll back in her bag and digs out her large book, ready to swing it wildly at the pink dinosaur, but the ache in her shoulder just won't let up. She sighs, and instead changes for her Healing Staff, preparing to belt herself with it whilst staying in the back row.
