Belinda Bugglesby Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Unvote: Wong Wang Vote: Godric Goaty-Blather Godric, voting for someone you think is a scared townie is unfathomably retarded.
Wong Wang Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Unvote: Ariattny Sugarbottom Vote: Godric Goaty-Blather Really? You decide to vote a named townie? That's a new low.

Thank you.
Drubulum Panck Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I think the theory that Wang used his curse to get Krup out of trouble is bunk. Not quite as bad as "interludes tell us who has night actions" Krup's theory but still bunk. Why? Of course, he was trying to save himself, it's true, but making us choose between himself and Snarky would ensure that there was no possibility of us voting out Krup. I'm not saying that even if he is scum he used the gladiator for that purpose, but it certainly is possible. Besides, it was only after he claimed that people switched their votes to Snarky, before that the votes were almost all on him. Anyway, it certainly seems odd that previously he had voted for Krup, but then when he went into the arena he chose to go against Snarky. Everyone wants to lynch Wang, who is as much of a townie today as yessterday. It's kind of amazing so many people changed their minds so quickly, based on the same evidence.. It might be historical. I don't think any of us were particularly convinced that Wang was town yesterday, after his claim though, it did just seem slightly more likely that Snarky was scum than Wang. Gertrude Tincanchewer or whatever her name is has been gunning for Krup since Day One, and while everyone else has cooled down on him, she still guns for him very happily. She has also placed a vote for Wang. I personally still don't see why Wang is more guilty today than he is yesterday. You all voted for Snarky over him, but now that Snarky is town, you vote for Wang? That doesn't really make sense, totally, it wasn't really that one or the other was scummy. ... (that action still seems town to me, and furthermore I doubt a scum would have used it so quickly) See above. It wasn't that one or the other was scummy, the fact was that they were both horribly scummy and Wang still is. That's why we're voting for him. Why do you think Wang collected a fair number of votes before he pulled his gladiator thing? Because he was scummy. Actually, I think you're wrong there. A scum would be more likely to use it early than a town would. Of course, Wong was in a bad situation, but still I think if he were town he would have at least consulted others before using his action. Don't you think so too? I move that a scum would never use that spell at all. That's garbage. I think the very fact that is more often a townie role, and some people were really pushing that, is a good enough reason why the scum would use it. So you just joined the bandwagon. I would have expected you to vote for me instead for Wong. And it seemed to me that the reason you have for voting Wong is to cover up your inactivity in the Day thread and you threatened the Town again that everyone should vote for me tomorrow. Trying to get people to stop voting for Wong, are you? A bit odd, don't you think, especially with theories floating around that you may be on the same scummy For all the people who vote Wang today, and voted Snarky yesterday, too little, too late. Go back and time, and vote for Wang day one We really need to move on and follow other leads. Or else day one was a complete lynch waste. We are looking into voting out the scummiest person around for now, in my opinion. Why are you so convinced Wang is town? Why do we need to move on and follow other leads, so that your scummy buddy won't be lynched? The results of the Day 1 lynch has done nothing to clear Wong. Sorry, if some of the points have already been answered, I'm just catching up now. team? Oops, my post got mixed up while adding quotes. The "team? " part was supposed to go after the "you may be on the same scummy" part.

Sorry, if some of the points have already been answered, I'm just catching up now. team? Oops, my post got mixed up while adding quotes. The "team? " part was supposed to go after the "you may be on the same scummy" part. I've explained a few times why i think Wang is town. The bigger question is why everyone thought Wang is town yesterday, and want to lynch them today. One thing is sure, if Wang and I are both scum, I won't defend him. I will bus him. Now Wang looks like he'll be lynched, so I am defending him late. I think we need to lynch someone suspicious, not someone we thought was town yesterday. Trying to get a lunch ready for me tomorrow? If Wang flips town, will you find a reason there to call me scum tomorrow? On day two, the scum are staying far away from each other in thread. Thinking there is a connection between Durm and Wang is dumb. That's garbage. I think the very fact that is more often a townie role, and some people were really pushing that, is a good enough reason why the scum would use it. I never heard of the role before day one. How many people knew the role, and could predict it was town before it was used. This is dumb too. Sorry, garbage.
Twatty Tittlesteen Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Maybe it's just me, but it seems a bit of an odd thing to vote for someone just to get them talking on Day 2. On Day 1 it's somewhat acceptable, but Day 2? (I have noticed that your changed your vote, but this still seems a bit odd to me) I don't see how odd it really is. I was just trying to give him a reality check, but you have your opinions. I love how Helena is urging us to change our votes to Godric. Godric may be acting like a fucktard, but we can lynch him tomorrow or the next day. We need to find out whether Wong was using a town action or not so we can decide on Durm's fate for good. That's pretty much the only way, other than getting rid of Durm tonight, which is in the vig's hands. For all we know, the vig was blocked last night, or even killed. Godric will have his time to continue acting stupid, and we can lynch him later, but there isn't enough time to turn the lynch around. I understand that you want Godric gone, Helena, but you need to understand that lynching is our best tool. We just can't turn the lynch around in 9 hours. We will be able to gather some decent information about Durm from Wong's lynch. If Wong is scum, we know that there is a high chance that Durm is too. If Wong is town, then Durm is likely a fucktard townie, but could just as easily be scum. The chances of that, however, aren't as high, I would think. Wong seems to be acting strange, and I can see him being either town or scum. I'm actually pretty confused. I don't think he's lying about his action (Unless Snarky was the true owner of the action, but why would he just pull it out from nowhere?), but we can't know for sure if it was a townie action yet, which is why we need to test this. Sure, he might not be able to use it anymore, but that doesn't mean we should let it slip by, especially if it turns out to be a scum action. Sorry.
Gertrude Tincanchew Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I will illiterate again. If you read correctly in that post, I said I don't know how to cast any magic (i.e. vanilla). Since Day 1, I always thought you were Town, a stubborn Town. But I did a lot of thinking and you did stand out today. You are acting scummy, but not overly scummy enough to get the lynch. If everyone still don't see why you are hell-bent on trying to get me lynched, I do. You are trying to get someone's attention. Only a few people would want to do that. Vote: Gertrude Tincanchew Yes, you are illiterate. I don't think you know what that word means, though, so you might want to look it up. But you're right! My aggressively pursuing the scummiest guy around is very stand-out. I must be trying to get someone's attention. But once again, I must applaud you: I am actually impressed with your subtlety, implying that I am a Traitor in not so many words. Slick moves, scumbag.
Langston Lionheart Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Which ones did I miss, Langston? I feel like I have adressed everyone, or have adressed questions similar to theirs. So you were hoping to let the power roles figure out/kill Krup over the night and go after somebody less likely to get lynched? That is indeed a risk, and one that is pretty scummy, whether Krup is town or not. What other way would you have done this, then, one that wouldn't have made you regretful, as it seems you are? Did you, personally, think Krup had any possibility (any inkling) of being town, or were you just too unsure that you had to leave him off the tables? These ones. You sort of answered the first, but ignored the latter. To clarify the latter, I'm sort of missing why you passed on Krup, so I'd appreciate some clarification on that. Sorry if I'm making you repeat yourself, though the question on how you'd prefer things to happen would be interesting to know.
Drubulum Panck Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Alright, I claimed the curse after I used it because I was scrambling. Really as simple as that. If I claimed it before I used it, would any of you really have believed me? I don't think so. If anything, I think you all would have tried to pressure me into using it, or the scum would realize my power and try to take me out, or they could form a campaign agaist me, saying that I could be a dedicated scum gladiator. As for the interesting bit on Ariattny, all it is is just the things she says for the past few days, completely obvious things you all have heard. If you had claimed it then likely we would have leaned slightly more towards Krup than yourself. Not likely, but possible. If the vote hadn't switched, you could still have used it after consulting with others who to use it on. You used the role anyway, so though you may still have had to use it, you could have at least had more information on who to use it on, if you will. Why would the scum want to take you out if you had a one-shot role like that? It's not like it's that threatening to them. If they wanted to form a campaign against you, also, they could easily have done so in the twenty-four hours we had. About Ariattny: care to be any more specific or will continue to be vague as you always have been? I don't understand why people think that Wong and Krup are scum together. Think of a the impossibility of that. Seriously. Even their defense for each other totally negates that theory. You think Wong used that curse to protect Krup? Why? It would very clearly be dangerous to Wong that day, and Krup would still be in question the next day. If the scum can pass around actions on death (which they can) why would they favor saving Krup over Wong, or vice versa? It makes no sense. Why is it impossible that they are scum together? I'm not saying with total confidence that they both are scum or that either is, but I seriously suspect that at least one of them is, and I wouldn't be surprised if they both turn up scum. Let's look at it this way. If we had lynched Wong, as it seemed we would, then we would still have suspicions and probably lynch Krup the next day, correct? If you are them and you are scum, what do you do? You try to get people talking about something else. Warning, hypothetical conversation following: Scum says: "Gladiator is a normally townie role. Let's use that on Snarky so the focus will be on Snarky and Wang, then Wang can claim, people will naturally think he's town and go after Snarky. We get a townie lynch, and Wang runs off scott free. Hopefully, it will also have distracted enough attention from Krup as well." If that's their goal then the Day 1 part worked and the Day 2 part seems to be working in at least a few people's minds. I'm not saying that I can't be wrong and that there isn't a chance that one of them is town or they both are town, but I certainly wouldn't discount the possibility of them both being scum. Understand? You know, I said something similar to that yesterday and people thought I was insane? Umm...no, you wanted to bandwagon on somebody who had gotten penalty votes, but wasn't really scummy at all. Unvote: Ariattny Sugarbottom Vote: Godric Goaty-Blather Really? You decide to vote a named townie? That's a new low. Did you really just realize this now? I've explained a few times why i think Wang is town. Thinking there is a connection between Durm and Wang is dumb. I never heard of the role before day one. How many people knew the role, and could predict it was town before it was used. This is dumb too. Sorry, garbage. Don't worry, tomorrow's lynch is already reserved for Krup as far as I'm concerned. Nobody necessarily thought Wang was town yesterday, speaking for myself at least. Both Wong and Snarky were equally scummy, but Snarky seemed a bit moreso than Wong, hence the vote. How do you know the scum are staying far away from each other in thread? I had never heard of the role before either, but I am assuming that when most people had seen it they would've looked it up and seen that it is usually a town role.
Wong Wang Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Umm...no, you wanted to bandwagon on somebody who had gotten penalty votes, but wasn't really scummy at all. No, I was meaning about the story and splitting the votes, but I understand what you mean now. These ones. You sort of answered the first, but ignored the latter. To clarify the latter, I'm sort of missing why you passed on Krup, so I'd appreciate some clarification on that. Sorry if I'm making you repeat yourself, though the question on how you'd prefer things to happen would be interesting to know. Yes to the first question, and what you were saying (that's the simple answer). What I would have done if I could do it again was have used my role earlier in the day (it was a scramble actually to decide to use it) and talked to people on who to use it on, and th epeople would have been all sorts. Those being targeted and not in the vote. Alas, time was not on my side yesterday. I was too unsure so I had to leave him off the tables. I chose Snarky because of his more scum-leaning behavior compared to Krup's bumbling. I know I said I started wondering about Snarky during the night, but that was when I was seeing him resigning to his fate. Does that help?
Helena Hippopaw Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 How do you know the scum are staying far away from each other in thread? Sorry, scum are all publicly linking themselves to each other in thread, so twon has a clear map to catch them for the next days. Smart of you to catch my mistake there isn't enough time to turn the lynch around. Scummy. You can change votes if you want. It's not majority lynch. But you can't be bothered because there isn't enough time. This is the worst excuse. If you are confident Wang is scummier than Godric, than keep your vote, but time is an excuse. This little elephant is tired, maybe when I wake up, we'll have a better town. If Wang is town, the lynchers have a lot of explaining to do. If Wang is scum, you can lynch me tomorrow.
Looney Lumpylove Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Sorry I haven' said much today. The Benevolent Alien Overlords tooke into their saucer again. For some reason they call it RL, though that name makes no sense to me. Vote: Wong Wang The more I hear from him, the worse he looks to me.
Twatty Tittlesteen Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Scummy. You can change votes if you want. It's not majority lynch. But you can't be bothered because there isn't enough time. This is the worst excuse. If you are confident Wang is scummier than Godric, than keep your vote, but time is an excuse. I am aware of the fact that votes can be changed whenever. I'm not stupid. I'm also aware that it isn't a majority lynch. There are currently 12 votes for Wong. It would take 5 people to unvote Wong and change their votes to Godric to cause a lynch for him. What I want to know is how you expect 5 people to unvote Wong for your benefit, within an 8 hour period. I don't think there is enough time, considering we all live in different time zones, despite living in the same village. I will be shocked, but I can't see the lynch turning around. Sorry. I just don't see it as possible, or able to be done. Just because Wong is likely going to be lynched doesn't mean that all the votes cast for him are scum. I've been reminded of something, where's Harriet? She hasn't at all today, I want to see her little Thunder Bum. Also, wise Alien Overlord, why is it that I have two votes listed on the most recent tally? Also, if you were paying attention, you would know that I'd rather lynch Wong to find out his actions affiliation.
Catalina Kittywhisker Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Alright everyone, I'm going to apologize now for unvoting Wong. I feel like a complete idiot, but he's definitely scum. He's been lying via potato message to people about who he's contacted. He's also been lying about certain people claiming Vanilla Townie to him (who the hell would claim to him anyway?). It's pointless for me to change my vote because there's no way anyone else will be lynched at this point and I still find Godric suspicious. So just for the record, he told me he contacted Krup while he told others he didn't. The other person he contacted confirmed that Wong contacted him so this means he was lying about Krup and him being in contact. So I guess this increases the chances of Krup being scum for tomorrow, too.
Boris Biddlesdorf Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Fact is I don't know for sure about Wong and I can't get a read on him? If it sounds like I don't want to vote for him, it's because I don't? I still have a much stronger feeling about Durmudgelous and, as I believe I've said, I don't want to let him off the hook just yet? And if I sound wishywashy, perhaps it's because I can only speak in questions? Oh, come on. Just because you put a question mark at the end doesn't make it a question. Okay, maybe technically, but it's lazy. Have I not explained this in the post you just quoted? If the town is divided on a lynch (I.e., those who think Wong is Scum all vote for him and those [like me] who think Krup is scummiest all vote for him), then neither will have as individually high a vote count, making it easier for the scum to take the lynch off of them if they convince only a few people to switch their votes. If, seeing as I believe both of them are scum at the moment, I "bandwagon" with the rest of the town onto Wong, then my extra vote is insurance should somebody take their vote off at the last minute. I'm playing for the good of the town by insuring we get a lynch on a guy we want, not like what happened yesterday when people started to get confused by Krup and took votes off of him to the point that he wasn't going to be lynched. If I try to lead a lynch on Krup today, something similar is likely to happen. If we decisively vote as a united whole, even against our secondary suspects (so long as we firmly believe them to be scum, or course), then we will get things done. I think you're confused about how a town vote works. The point isn't about having a unanimous vote, it's about voting out scum. If you don't think Wang is scum, don't vote for him. Voting for him but reserving the right to say that you knew he was town tomorrow is scummy. There was absolutely no danger whatsoever of upsetting the vote against Wang here with one vote for Krup. Thnking otherwise is either stupid or a poorly thought out justification for a vote you know a townie wouldn't make. I'm not changing my vote and I'm sticking by my justification. That role is dangerous and should be removed as quickly as possible. I wouldn't trust him if he said to us that it was a one-shot action. I don't think most of us are trusting just his word that it's a one-shot action. We're trusting to the fact that the creator of this story about furry wizards wouldn't unbalance the game by making such a role a recurring one. It would be tremedously overpowered. Even if you believed it wasn't one shot, you still don't say that you really think Wong is scum. If this situation was tremendously unbalanced in favor of us, the town, becuase of this ability, why do you want it gone so badly? Alright everyone, I'm going to apologize now for unvoting Wong. Can you clarify this? How do you know he's lying? Whoops, forgot to rhyme. Dickory is being a lazy RP bum, People should only vote for who they think are scum.
Catalina Kittywhisker Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Can you clarify this? How do you know he's lying? Yeah, sorry, I wasn't too clear when I first posted. The second part to it's there now.
Twatty Tittlesteen Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 The nwhy don't you change your vote if you know he's lying?
Catalina Kittywhisker Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 The nwhy don't you change your vote if you know he's lying? Because he already has the most votes and there's nothing that can change that. I guess I will though, but do note that I am still suspicious of Godric. Unvote: Godric Goaty-Blather Vote: Wong Wang I now agree with the people who want to go after Krup if Wong flips Scum, which I'm sure he will.
Gertrude Tincanchew Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Oh, come on. Just because you put a question mark at the end doesn't make it a question. Okay, maybe technically, but it's lazy. Thnking otherwise is either stupid or a poorly thought out justification for a vote you know a townie wouldn't make. Ok, so we all obviously need to take remedial reading courses. I said that I DO THINK WONG IS SCUM. Like four times. Your accusation that I'm reserving the right to say "I told you so" tomorrow makes no sense because a) I am firmly convinced he will flip scum because he has apparently been lying in private (Lynch all Liars!) b) I have clearly stated I think he is scum like four times (I'm repeating myself here to make sure you understand: I THINK WONG IS SCUM) so saying "I thought he was town, I told you so would be a hypocritical lie and I'd have to lead a lynch on myself (Lynch all Liars!) and c) I've called people out on the exact same thing you're attempting to call me out on yesterday, so not only would I have to be a hypocrite, I'd have to be a blathering imbecile approaching Krup levels of inanity if you seriously think I'd do something that I've publicly called people out on for.
Boris Biddlesdorf Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Okay, maybe I got you confused with Godric about that particular point. Goats look all the same to me. But your reasons for not voting for Krup are still stupid. I still stand by those. So just for the record, he told me he contacted Krup while he told others he didn't. The other person he contacted confirmed that Wong contacted him so this means he was lying about Krup and him being in contact. So I guess this increases the chances of Krup being scum for tomorrow, too. I get the impression that Krup sent messages to just about everybody yesterday. That, in itself, isn't suspicious to me. Can you tell us the circumstance under which he lied about contacting Krup? How would it have benefitted him? This old dog somethimes gets confused, How many times will the phrase "lynch all liars" be used?
Catalina Kittywhisker Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I get the impression that Krup sent messages to just about everybody yesterday. That, in itself, isn't suspicious to me. Can you tell us the circumstance under which he lied about contacting Krup? How would it have benefitted him? This old dog somethimes gets confused, How many times will the phrase "lynch all liars" be used? Wong told someone else that he was only in contact with three people, me being one of them. This person also told me that Wong told him that those three people claimed Vanilla to Wong, which is a lie. When I asked Wong who the third person he contacted was he said it was Krup, but apparently he never mentioned contacting Krup to anyone else nor did he mention to anyone else that Krup claimed Vanilla. When I told Wong about the third person he said he also was in contact with him but he never mentioned him to me at first. By the way, I'm not revealing who these people are because I'm not sure if they'd want me to. So to sum it up, he not only lied about three people claiming Vanilla to him but he also lied about him being in contact with Krup. Well, if he was in contact with Krup then he still lied, because he told me he was and he told someone else he wasn't.
Nicholas Dickory Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Oh, come on. Just because you put a question mark at the end doesn't make it a question. Okay, maybe technically, but it's lazy. Would you rather I phrased everything as a proper question? Do you know how often I have to remind myself to say "Would you", "Could I", "Does this", etc. every two minutes? Is this really the best way for me to get my point across? Would you believe I'm already tiring of this schtick and it's only Day Two? Not much better, is it? Dickory is being a lazy RP bum Did I mention the gypsy woman was very specific? Everything I say has to be a question, okay? Alright everyone, I'm going to apologize now for unvoting Wong. I feel like a complete idiot, but he's definitely scum. He's been lying via potato message to people about who he's contacted. I am very much starting to question my belief in Wong now, don't you know? Why would Wong lie about who he was in contact with if he was Vanilla? Answer: he probably wouldn't, would he? I'm still having trouble reconciling the possibly suicidal gladiator role as a scum role, but I do not like the fact that Wong lied, okay? It seems keeping my vote on Durmudgelous serves little more than a symbolic purpose, so why not place it where it will do some good? May I... Unvote: Durmudgelous Krup Vote: Wong Wang ?
Langston Lionheart Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Yes to the first question, and what you were saying (that's the simple answer). What I would have done if I could do it again was have used my role earlier in the day (it was a scramble actually to decide to use it) and talked to people on who to use it on, and th epeople would have been all sorts. I know I said I started wondering about Snarky during the night, but that was when I was seeing him resigning to his fate. Does that help? Yes it does, a bit, thank you. I'm not sure how using the role earlier would have been better. My immediate thoughts tell me otherwise, that it would have left you worst off, or somewhat the same position. Interesting about those you have been talking to though. Catawina Pwina's recent revelation that your story isn't straight is very interesting, indeed. What a gay old romp. so, a couple thoughts popped into my head just meow roar now. 1)Your friends are scum, and they told you you should do what you did (like somebody said earlier, losing an OE would be a bad start for the OE and a great one for OotP, so the incentive is there). Apparently some of those are vanilla townies, so the "truth" could be a mixed bag of scum and town in contact with you. 2) You're town and those who claimed vanilla...some may actually be scum and influenced you to post, knowing/hoping it might drag you down. I don't like that last one too much, because it would have done the opposite effect for the OE and you got cleared, which would give them headaches. So that last one is weak, though it can be possible, to think of the options. I guess I get your motivations on the Krup-Snarky issue. Though, it looks like you're going to be lynched anyway, which I think is best at this point, but if you have anything to say about these contacts, now would be the time to say it (if you're as town as you say you are).
Boris Biddlesdorf Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I was just messin' with ya, Dickory. I'm not convinced about this lying thing. I would love for Wang's side of the story to be told but that seems unlikely with the amount of time left in the day. It seems that it could be a misunderstanding, since Wang doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the shed. I also can't seem to get around the circumstances of how the gladiator curse was used. I just don't see scum using it this early. I can see them using it later in the game when a mislynch matters more. I'm going to Vote: Godric Goaty-Blather. I just think he's scummier at this point. Not that it really matters anyway. I keep joshin' with Dickory, But I think a vote for Godric gets town closer to victory.
