Posted April 27, 201311 yr Normally the monstery on Mt. Mitgard is a rather quiet place. Monks are copied documents, novices scrape old parchments and those who are too ald to work warm themselves at the oven: But these days are different. A group of Mitgardian soldiers on their way to Ondylon got ambushed by a bunch of Orcs directed by the hand of corruption. The men were led by Steen Larsson, many died but somehow their leader managed to survive. After a long and troubled sleep that laster for days Steen finally woke up again. But when coming to his senses, he was badly shaken. More then half of his men lost. What a failiour as a military commander he was! But the prior did not except Steens brooding. Mylord, you must wake up. A messenger has send word from Elon Chorian. "It's time to go!" the monastery is modular. So far I've got two modules but at least two more in the making. So stay tuned! April 28, 201311 yr Wow! Great work Kabel! I love how the levels can be separated! You should make a library module with a bunch of scrolls. :D
April 29, 201311 yr Great job, especially with the writing tables and I like the floor pattern in the bottom room (mainly because I'd love to have that many 1x1s...) Good job on the beds too!
April 29, 201311 yr Author Thanks guys and yes, a kitchen and a library are already in the making, the "name of the rose" being my source of inspiration!
April 30, 201311 yr Great monastry! I think I only seen one before in GoH so it´s nice to see some other buildings than barracks and towers! =) The arch design is lovely!
May 2, 201311 yr Thanks guys and yes, a kitchen and a library are already in the making, the "name of the rose" being my source of inspiration! I really liked this interior (especially the scriptorium), and it made me think of exactly that movie even before I read you mention it :)
May 2, 201311 yr Author @DG: I really like the architecture of monasteries. Hence the idea! @Gideon: I visited the location of the film shoot a few months ago and thought that I had to build it in LEGO. Cool thing you recognized it!
May 2, 201311 yr If the other 2 modulars are as great as this one, then the total build will be really epic!! :D
