Dr. X Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 It belongs in awesome! I once saw in this, like, spy movie, this one guy said to this other guy "This isn't just as easy as building with Lego bricks." or something like that. It was awesome. Quote
Dfenz Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 There's a Jackie Chan Movie called New Police Story where the climax is a fight in a Lego Store. And, no before you ask it wasn't over that last MIB monorail set!! David Quote
Dr. Brick Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Well it's not really a movie or a tv episode but The White Stripes use quite a lot of Lego in one of their clips. Hope nobody mentioned it before... Dr. Brick Quote
WhiteHexagon Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 In the sixth episode of the second season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a little girl can be seen playing with Lego twice, and in response, her "mother" creates a large tower MOC for her. I saw that episode at the weekend and was planning to post here :) I wonder who gets these jobs to build LEGO movie sets. The tower was massive, hang on a sec, let me grab a snap shot... Quote

Buttons Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Malcom in the Middle had an episode with Lego too. I saw that episode and I think it was all clone brands and also there was tons of playmobil figures. I may be wrong though. Quote
Squeaker Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 In what I think was episode 2 of "Life on Mars" (which is a show about a police agent being taken back in time to 1973, it's really a great show, try and watch it at least once. Perfect mix of drama and comedy) there was little rover that was partially made out of LEGO. you might be able to find it here, my media player doen't work right now. Quote
AmperZand Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 (edited) In the film Time Bandits featuring Sean Connery, John Clease and Ian Holm, there's LEGO on the kid's floor near the beginning. Giant LEGO bricks also appear close to the end in the big battle with the incarnation of evil where they are used to make the walls. Both can be seen briefly in the trailer. I've met Mike Edmonds who starred in that film and had parts in Return of the Jedi and other movies. He gave me a signed picture of himself in costume from Time Bandits. Really nice bloke. samthelegoman1 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 (edited) There's this Family Guy episode where Peter compares Lego to MegaBloks to Lois, who just doesn't seem to get it. Then, he builds a crummy rocket in a kid's room. In a Simpsons episode, they go to a mall and eat at arts and crafts type restaurant, where there are eating utensils made out of Lego. Also, they have Lego in a couple of Robot Chicken episodes. They also showed a logo made out of Lego on Disney Channel In the movie, Kickin' It Old Skool, the main character is seen playing with Lego in a bar while the confused waitress watches him. Oky Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 In the South Park episode "Tonsil Trouble", Cartman infects Kyle with AIDS. After finding out about that, Kyle swears to destroy everything Cartman owns and runs into his room, breaking every toy in sight. During his rampage, he kicks over a bucket with colorful bricks that says "LEGGOZE" on it. Also, in the new Futurama movie "Bender's Game", Leela enters the Planet Express ship in a demolition derby for spaceships, and one of the competing ships is made out of lego! Of course, it didn't stay built for long... Futurama ON! Quote
Jipay Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 In his book "on the edge", Richard Hammond (from the top gear TV show) explains how lego helped his recovery from a brain damage. Quote
Siegfried Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Doesn't this actually belong into Multimedia? No. Our rule is everything that is Lego related that doesn't belong in the others forums gos in here. Lego games are the tricky one, but since it isn't really Lego in the games then the rule still works. You might then say "Ahh! But what about Lego renders? They aren't really Lego!" To which I would say "Stop being so difficult!" Quote
The Cobra Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Video <- This one is from an eighties movie, "Da grande" (it means: big, grown up). It's about an eight-year older who suddendly grows up, and his body looks like he's 40 (Renato Pozzetto). Still, he thinks like the child he is. After the old woman says "this money is not enough to buy this Lego", while crying he says: "This morning I turned 8 and I can't have Lego..." I know, the whole thing sounds a lot like "Big" with Tom Hanks, but the Italian movie came out one year earlier. Quote

Phaz-Ing Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 In the movie Maid in Manhattan, the girl's son plays with Kopaka and a Bohrok--there's this extended 10 second period just him playing with it! its pretty neat. Quote
oo7 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Several years ago I read a book called "Red Kayak" by an author named Priscilla Cummings. It featured Lego as a recurrent prop throughout the plot, in particular referring to the Aquanauts theme by name, but unfortunately pluralizing the brand as "LEGOs"..... Quote
