Thanks guys for your comments and insights for this review!

Yes, I'm aware it is a children's toy. And I probably would have been all over this set if I was nine years old today.

Same sentiments too! I am sure I will be crying out to my father to get this cool space looking toy that can 'transform' and 'split' into two powerful machines.

great review and great set by the way. The titan's design is awesome, it's just like M.A.S.K.

I want this set so bad but It will be very expensive in my country though

I remembered M.A.S.K too, just that M.A.S.K is more of the modern looking designs than sci-fi designs, but I certainly understand where you are coming from.

As a member of the Eurobricks community, I strongly believe that the staffs deserve to be appreciated for their time and efforts to review new sets from TLG, I will never ever act too selfish or even emphasis my own thoughts and emotions to write those sarcastic comments, because I always think "friendly words, honest comments" will be a great help and to motivate the staffs in the future reviews.

Anyway, it is great review even though without stickers, thanks WhiteFang, I am looking forwards to seeing more great completed reviews of yours ...

Thank you Belun for your very very encouraging comments!

I know I may be asking much, especially after the terrific job you did on this review, but I think a picture of the parts page may be interesting to not only me, but also to a lot of other LEGO enthousiasts out there who'll only buy this set for the parts. Anyway, thank you very much for this outstanding review.

TAFOL, I am away from my LEGO sets at this moment. I can probably scanned a copy of the instructions page in the next few days or weeks when I am back at my home. I will be able to share the parts page. If it slipped out of my mind, kindly nudge me via PM to remind me! Thanks.

TLG really hit a home run for the blue team with this set. That's a baseball term for all the aliens out there that don't get it.

Certainly understand the quote! It appears the blue squad has indeed gotten the best among the four!

Also I'm not sure which end is the front side of the vehicle. If they are combined together it looks like the starship's cocpit makes the front side, but you can see red lights on the tank below the cockpit which indicates that it is the rear side and the ship lands on the tank facing backwards. Anyhow its not important, just noticed watching the pictures.

Actually

When I first built it, I thought the tank is the 'front' side, then after I see the box art again with the combination on, then I realised that it was the inverse direction. Geez, I think it might just be possible to be able to steer in both directions.

OMG! That baby bug is sooo cute! :)

Great review, REALLY makes me want this set!

Am I wrong, or does the human vehicle here look a lot like one of the concept models/artworks I saw for Alien Conquest that never got developed/released (dark blue and orange "crawler" tank with multiple guns and "crew pods")?

Great review as always... It's amazes me how I just can't get these Galaxy Squad sets out of my brain!! As an adult I have no business daydreaming about them as much as I do-- in office meetings, while driving, etc. I suppose it's all about the aesthetics, really. Makes me glad they all don't feature the green team, or I'd be in trouble!!!

Great review. I think Galaxy Squad is becoming my new favourite Lego theme. As a kid classic space was my number 1, so I suppose I'm coming back to my Lego roots. I think I have to make some Lego decisions as there are so many great sets and themes, but I have so many unfinished themes.

Whitefang, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your reviews, they really help my decision making.

Actually, they're called the Buggoids. :3 The Mosquitoid is only the mosquito themed one, and the one with the claws is a Mantazoid.

TAFOL, here are the links,

These are the respective parts list located in part 1 and part 2.

Hope it helps.

Did anyone try putting en egg half together with a cocoon half ? Or putting a 4x4 round plate or brick on top of either of those ?

The two parts were designed with that in mind.

Thanks a million. Really, I can't thank you enough, both for an excellent review and superb photos of the parts list.

The reason why I was interested in the parts list was mostly because I thought part 6028812 (LBG Plate, Modified 1x2 with Clip on Side) was supposed to be 2x2 studs instead of 1x2 studs. Guess I was evidently proven wrong. I think this is a new part, which hasn't appeared in sets before. Not that the other parts in this amazing model aren't of interest to me, but I'm just extra interested in this single new piece. So thank you for providing me with a good look at this piece.

Great review! I love the last two Space themes and I'm sad they are going away, but I am hopeful we'll see it just evolve as it has been over the last couple of iterations. I like how you saw the connections between Alien Conquest and Galaxy Squad and I'm hoping the next Space theme just builds once more on the previous ones.

I still need to pick this set up before it disappears completely. I love the transforming bits as I've always been fascinated by vehicles with detachable flying units. My only issue is that is does seem confusing that the ground unit faces opposite the flying one, but ultimately, it's not that big a deal.

Hoping to have this before time runs out!
